Hello! Staying at the Sheraton Rio until Tuesday and then Ipanema for a week. Any tips on fun things to do, where to eat, etc. Looking for a mix of touristy and non-touristy cool things to do while here.

As a couple on vacation visiting Rio would you recommend we stay at the Sheraton Rio Resort, the JW Marriott, or the Grand Hyatt?
My dad likes to FaceTime me when he’s on the toilet - sometimes he picks up and I can tell since I see the shower curtain or I can tell by his facial expressions or oftentimes he’ll transition to the bathroom and he doesn’t tell me. Does anyone else think this is really weird or is it just me?
