Oh man this is a good one. I saw it way back on VHS and it took me about 30 minutes to remember.
Anyway, this one is not streaming and I don’t think it’s available physically, at least in the US.
I found a copy on YouTube. Solid quality. Watched on an old 4k.
It’s got the great Patrick Dempsey and Kelly Preston, and the cast itself is great
I don’t want to give much away, but he’s a cocky shit who runs afoul of some bad dudes, and the chase is on. Gritty. Unpredictable. Tons of fun. Under 90 minutes

Every year or two I watch them. Been a fan since the 80s. Outside of the first two, which are an Alien/Aliens situation as I can’t decide which I prefer, the rest pale in comparison but I still enjoy them. I watched one per evening, usually cracking some beers. I need to get these on physical. My VHS copies of the first two are somewhere
Terminator-first saw this on HBO in the 80s. One of the R Rated movies my parents allowed me to watch. Still holds up, 80s cheese and all. You know it smelled crazy in that hotel room! Seriously though, it’s pretty much a horror movie, dark and depressing. Great side characters and overall one of the best movies of all time
T2-I am sure many of you remember but the hype for this movie was something else. It was everywhere. Arnold was on top of the world. Great tie in song from GnR who was also at the top of their game. My buddies and I soaked up everything to do with T2. We were 15 so on opening day she took us to the Everett Mall and got tickets for the first showing. They even raised the prices 25 cents a ticket! I think we hyped ourselves up way too much and I have learned to temper expectations, but we still loved it. 15 yr old me thought Connor was a whiner and wanted the Terminator to kill and not maim. Also, spoiling the reveal in the trailer baffled us then and more so today. That being said, what a ride. Furlong has grown on me. Linda’s performance is great. More great side characters and the T1000 rules. This time I watched the extended cut
T3-Saw this at the old drive in in Bellingham WA! Double with Pirates of the Caribbean. It became a parking lot for the local college and I think now some apartments and offices…it sucks. Anyway, this used to be my least favorite of the movies. But it has grown on me. I had a blast this time around as it’s the one I watch the least. Stahl who looks 45 and Danes have really grown on me. It knows it cannot compete with the first two so it’s a big, dumb, loud and expensive B movie and I dig it. It doesn’t take itself seriously and hardly lets up. Great set pieces and the TX is awesome. She did a great job
T4-I have always had a soft spot for this one. It’s flawed. The characters are pretty one dimensional. Bale is Batman. They just yell their lines and there’s little depth. But man, it’s so cool seeing the future war, and the practical effects are just awesome. Worthington and Yelchin (RIP) are the standouts. Moon did a good job too and wanted to see more of her. Overall it’s overstuffed but I enjoy it
T5-Saw this in theaters with my daughter who was 10. She enjoyed and I did too. Always like this one, but it was the weakest on my latest watch. Overstuffed too. The cheese was good for the OG but comes off as cringe as they repeat lines from the other movies. I really liked Jai in Dangerous Animals but he is blah here. While John Connor is interchangeable, Kyle Reese is Biehn (Anton gets a pass as he plays a younger version) who does such a great job emoting while Jai looks constipated. Also, another spoiler in the trailers. Jesus. I did like Pops in this one. Emilia is always solid. The future scenes were cool and I enjoyed the bus chase. Also, Arnold as a T1000? Yes please. But I can see why audiences weren’t interested
T6-I commend them for getting Cameron on board and trying yet again to reboot the franchise, but when it’s the 6th movie and the 3rd or 4th reboot, good luck getting an audience and it’s kind of a shame as I really liked DF on this latest watch. I always forgot it right after I watched like Pirates or Transformers 5, forget it exists! But I dug the killer Terminator. The dump truck chase. Linda is great minus some cornball—-mommy and daddy are having a disagreement as they lock out the girl they’re protecting. Dude. A little sludgy on the CGI but it was a cool road movie, as dark and depressing as the first one. I think the inclusion, and I hate to say it, of Arnold threw off the movie. And he’s living with a cute girl…a Shmi Skywalker apparently. I feel like they struggled adding him and having him kill John and pop back up…I’d have shot his ass off the plane when she had the chance if someone murdered my kid, you don’t forgive that. I also didn’t mind the killing of John, I mean at this point none of it makes sense so why not go along for the ride
Glad I watched them again. Kind of sad it’s over. I am gonna hit up the TV show someday
I need to get these on physical someday. Anyway, I am gonna do a watch-through sometime in the next couple weeks, and the ones not on Netflix. It’s been well over a year and I dig them every time I watch

We see him take off, Embo sees that and clearly communicates it to the Hutts. However, we see the ship crashed near the palace. Rotta to my understanding was escaping. The gun runner was dead in the ship…I was wondering if anyone had ideas as to how the Twins captured him and why the ship was brought down at NaL Hutta…

This was awesome. I had never heard of Backrooms prior to release, and had no idea what was happening but I was hooked.

And the right amount of mystery, scares and thrills. I had no idea what to expect and that’s what made it so damn good.

I was 8 when this album came out (84), and I dug it as a kid. At least 3 songs, Magic, Drive and You Might Think were on MTV all the time! Even I tired of them…however I have always been a Cars fan
Just got reintroduced to the album a few weeks ago and it’s perfect. Every song is a banger. I have listened during the day, at night, on walks, high as fuck and it hits every time…I really recommend being high and being taken on a neon filled ride.
Eyes of a Stranger was on the Top Gun trailer but didn’t make the soundtrack. I feel like any of these songs could be in so many different movies, it feels like a Noir come to life
It’s cliche but Magic is my summer anthem this year, it’s so good. Why Can’t I Have You is awesome. Anchored by title track at the end, I feel transported back to a different time chilling with Ocasek on a road trip as the album ends far too soon

I love this one. Been a guilty pleasure since 98, saw it twice in theaters (North Platte, NE!).
This was when big action tentpoles were in an arms race to make the biggest, dumbest blockbuster possible and just inject that shit into my veins. The crossovers, I still remember the Taco Bell ads. Godzilla taking shots at Lost World, Lucas returns the favor with Phantom Menace.
This is the quintessential 90s blockbuster, everything including the kitchen sink is tossed in the blender
Ensemble cast, cheesy situations and acting, 90s CGI, incompetent military and politicians, using poor Siskel and Ebert as punching bags. And it’s gonna take French mercs and science nerd Ferris Bueller to set things right. It’s got the classic Godzilla formula of military, press, mercs, civilian and scientists all running in circles
I am currently watching all the Zilla/Kong movies (Yes, I am single!!) and I think this one does a surprisingly good job of keeping in line with the Godzilla mythos. A less is more beginning, some destruction and then once it hits NYC it’s pedal to the metal. Lots of city destruction. The human characters are in line with the older flicks, and not too intrusive. Sure, NYC is whiter than a Seinfeld episode but it is what it is…
Is it overstuffed? Oh yeah. A bit too snarky with lots going on. It’s a stereotype palooza! Jean Reno as a coffee fiend French merc, oh yeah, Hank Azaria, yes please. One liners, ridiculous situations, cute female lead, Ferris, a poor fisherman running for his life. 90s science to explain the creature and more
The effects still hold up for the most part, have the 4k disc. But you can tell it’s 90s, lots of cool practical effects, mini Zillas in MSG where it was clear they were only allowed to film in a couple areas, and an epic car chase at the end. Hell there’s even submarines and lots of cool helicopter scenes
Makes a great double feature with Cloverfield

Just got back from the 3 showing. Went after work, taking kids to IMAX 3D on Saturday
Anyway, just wanted to share that it was a blast. Been a fan since 77, and this felt like Lucas in many ways, lots of nods to the Prequels and others.
So many Glups, it’s a veritable Glupsapalooza.
It had heart, the usual Star Wars themes, great soundtrack. It felt like an old fashioned SW adventure. Great supporting cast
Initially it felt like an episode but once I got into it, I forgot all about that. I mean SW flicks are usually episodic, see Menace: Naboo, Tatooine, Coruscant and Naboo, all separate yet tied together.
The crowd was older but they loved it. Some older dude, I guess I am old now, who had a SW hat on and as so stoked.
Overall if you like the show or even Star Wars you’re gonna dig it
Edit: Seen em all in theaters, and all day 1 since 97 SE, minus Clone Wars movie, but took 3 year old daughter to it. And saw TPM 3D and Sith last year opening day so needed to continue the streak!
Edit 2: It’s so cool and refreshing to see so many people dug it. The Box Office sub is so randomly hostile. I really hope it does well.
Government experiment to create super weapons goes wrong. Dog escapes the lab and a creature along with the government give chase as the dog seeks refuge with Corey Haim. Based on the Dean Koontz book. Man, I loved Koontz in the day, read all his books up until the early 00s. Haven’t seen this one since the early 90s when it was an HBO (or one of those) staple, plus early teen me wasn’t happy it deviated so much from the book
Now I am older, and just wanna relax and enjoy the ride. I am a big creature feature fan, and I dig this one. Great 80s atmosphere, government cover ups and incompetence. Haim is squeaky voiced but always been a fan. The legendary Michael Ironside, he is great in this. Solid supporting cast, cute mom, the dog is cool. The creature is 80s cheese, but we get plenty of kills
The ending is anti-climactic but overall it’s a breezy 90 minutes and hits the ground running with little filler
