The first photo is a wall mount for a server rack that I built today. The network equipment will be attached to the laptop is my temporary server until I can get one built that is higher quality.
I’m just running small websites currently so it’s fine. I have a patch panel I’m using and I’m running cat six through my house and I’m gonna use a switch to connect everything together so my desktop is connected to the switch and my TV and laptop in the living room so I can stream my desktop to my laptop or TV with a very fast speeds and low latency because currently I use Wi-Fi and it works great, but this will be significantly better and have much higher bandwidth so I should be able to play possibly FPS games
I’ve been selling on eBay for a while now, and one thing has always annoyed me.
I’d sell something, see the payout, and think, “Nice, that was a good sale.”
Then I’d remember shipping, the box, eBay fees, payment fees, and what I actually paid for the item. By the time I added everything up, I usually made a lot less than I thought.
I ended up making spreadsheets, but they were a pain to keep updated. I tried a few apps too, but none of them really showed me what I wanted to know before I even listed something.
So I started building my own tool.
It’s mostly for me at this point, but now I’m wondering if other sellers deal with the same thing or if I’m just overthinking it.
Does anyone actually track their real profit on every sale, or do most people just kind of estimate it?
I’m curious because if this isn’t just a “me problem,” I might keep putting more time into it.
~ it also supports what and Etsy order imports and you can add all the hidden fees and it’ll calculate your true profit from all of that.
I ran a small LTE internet business from around 2020–2022, selling 4G internet to a few neighbors who didn’t have many good options. Definitely a rough setup, but it worked and taught me a lot.
