Took my 5 year old fishing.
Well he smacked me on the head as he was trying to cast. Both hooks. Got them removed at the ER.
It made me feel great!! I’ve never been more happy to live the rest of my life without two hooks in my head.
I didn’t have that option two days ago when it happened. It helps you realize that maybe life ain’t so bad all the time.
Edit: It was a spur of the moment idea to go fishing to kill 20 minutes. He wanted to use his brother’s pole and didn’t have worms to use on his pole anyway. I didn’t think fully think it through just wanted to make most of it.
Some lucky son of a bitch pulled up 30 seconds before it happened and got a front row seat to the action. He comes out of his truck looking more shocked than me after watching me bite the line of a lure stuck in my head and says, “Do…do you need like some assistance?”
Not unless you got it on video dude.
Training new folks
When I was starting out I was having trouble orienting myself to the machine I was running. Manual movement is difficult when you don’t know what’s what.
That’s when the old man training got frustrated and said ,”Pretend your dick is the spindle! Now z+ is straight. Y+ is up. And x+ is right”
And I never forgot it. Don’t even have to hop in and put my junk on the spindle anymore.
