Update to my post on using the “Dear Baji” matchmaking post.

I’m closing in on almost a month using her paid service (a week and a half left). So far, I’ve received 4 matches from her. If you don’t know how her match making services work, you are first given the profile of your match, and if both of you like the profile you are then immediately shown pictures of each other.

If you decline, you are forced to give a valid reason. Example, one match I rejected at the profile stage I stated she didn’t sound like she was ready to settle down anytime soon and had a lot of schooling she had to finish. This is good because it prevents time wasters and she can view your rejection and keep it in mind for the next match.

Out of the 4 matches:

1 I rejected at the profile stage,

1 I rejected at the picture stage,

1 rejected me at the picture stage

1 rejected me at the profile stage.

Matches come in waves. It took me 2 weeks to get any matches but when I did I got 3 matches right away. So I guess it’s just when she’s able to get to you. She also asks you questions on certain aspects you’d consider ie (hey are you ok with a person who does xyz or is that a dealbreaker).

So far I do like her service as she’s pretty good at finding people close to you (all 4 people were on the east coast and 2 were in my state). I also requested someone active and all 4 stated/looked fit. So although I haven’t had a match make it past pictures, I do think this is promising. I plan on giving it another month to fully evaluate. Lmk if you have any questions.

My profile to give people an idea, I’m sure others will have more success than me:

Palestinian American, 28m

Engineer,

Moderate,

5’8 I’d consider myself average looking but I go to the gym consistently.

20 years ago Florida beat Ohio State in both the Football and basketball National Championship Games.

This made Florida the first school ever to win the national championship in Football and Basketball within the same school year and made Ohio state the first school ever to reach both the football and basketball national championship and lose both. Will we ever see a college repeat this success again in the NIL era?

I signed up for the DearBaji matchmaking service. Will report with feedback for those interested.

Saw a lot of people asking people’s experience using her services. If you don’t know, DearBaji is a social media user that’s known for matchmaking in the Muslim community. I’ve been trying to find feedback on her services but literally couldn’t find anything so I thought I’d be the Guinea pig.

I immediatly signed up for the premium service (28 dollars a month) because I’ve heard if you use the free version it’ll take months for you to receive any matches if at all (I guess it depends on how desirable you are too). Premium members are guaranteed at least one match/and or feedback by the end of the pay period (now I’m not sure if guaranteed match means guaranteed suggestion or guaranteed someone else liking you, I imagine it’s the former.)

She does ask very detailed questions on what you’re looking for, what age range, if you want kids, etc. so it does look promising. She also asks what ethnicities are you open to and if you’re ok with non citizens of your respective country. She also asks if you want your partner to work or if you want her to contribute to the household or if you don’t mind if she works or stays home regardless. She also asks what body type are you and what body type you prefer.

She has a description box where you’ll match will see what you say and a description box where she (Baji) will see if you want to give her more detailed notes on what you’re looking for that the match wont be able to see. She also asks how often you read Quran, do you pray consistently, and how religious you are (1-3 liberal, 4-6 moderate, 7-10 conservative).

So far it’s been 5 days and I haven’t received a match (expected because there’s a lot of people) but I will update this post with anything new.

My stats btw so you have reference when seeing my results

Palestinian

5’8

Engineer

Moderate

Age 28

Moderate

Desired age range 22-29

Prefer Arab but mentioned how if the person is a good fit I don’t mind ethnicity.

Grabbed Giannis in a trade, Jimmys best friend in handcuffs, and Celtics trading Jaylen Brown for a bag of chips.

Hating is finally paying off boys. I’ve been hating this whole time. The best off season since the big 3.

Embarrassing for the official UF account to take a blunt political stance like this.

The University of Florida is being used as a pawn. I guess this is what happens when you important a president from a university like Alabama. Very uncouth tweet.
