Hello, je me suis lancé un petit défi : composer chaque semaine une tenue avec des pièces que j’ai déjà et la photographier dans mon studio.

L’idée est simplement de tester différentes associations sans rester dans un style précis et de documenter tout ça au fil des semaines. J’ai appelé cette série Index of Dress.

Je suis curieux d’avoir vos avis, ce qui fonctionne selon vous, ce que vous changeriez ? N’hésitez pas à poster également vos propres variantes à partir de cette base ! Ça pourrait être sympa de constituer petit à petit un index global.

Première entrée : Minimalist Raincoat.

Each week, I try different combinations without sticking to any one style. I give each outfit a name and document the series in my own way.

This one is called Indigo Nights.

This week, I paired a black tuxedo-style shirt with vintage suit trousers, a Western belt and Western boots. I’d be curious to hear what you think of the silhouette. What works for you and what would you change?

I’m sharing an outfit where I tried mixing classic Western pieces — a cowboy hat, belt, boots and denim — with more traditional tailoring elements, like this double-breasted coat, a Winchester collar shirt and a tie.

I went for a more cinematic mood with the overall styling and photography. What do you think?

The first is a vintage faded Levi’s Type II that I paired with a preppy-style outfit, with or without the trench coat. The second has more of a Western feel, with a beautiful wool yoke featuring a Navajo-inspired pattern. And the last one is a raw selvedge Type II, worn as part of an entirely raw denim outfit. What do you think? :)

I’ve noticed wear holes developing in the heel lining of both of my leather shoes, always in exactly the same spot (on the inside heel area).

The first pair is a pair of loafers. The fit feels good to me: my feet don’t really move around inside the shoes and there isn’t much extra room. The second pair is a classic derby that I’ve worn fewer than 10 times, yet a small hole has already started to appear in the same area.

I’m wondering what might be causing this and whether it’s considered normal wear. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this usually related to heel slippage, gait/pronation, or something else entirely?

Any advice on how to prevent it from getting worse would be greatly appreciated.
