In 13 the witches are seen to possess new powers, feats, and skills:

Ascendae, also known as Levitation: Ophelia seems to possess a slightly weaker version of telekinesis allowing her to levitate objects with her mind.

Resurgence 2.0: Morweena seems to possess a much stronger version of Resurgence than Misty’s. Morweena could bring the dead frog back to life, but was also able to regenerate the frog back into a tadpole. So her powers involve resurrection and regeneration, unlike Misty who needed her swamp mud to heal.

Temporal Immobilization: During the spirit board scene when Mallory represents Transmutation apart of the ritual to bring back Fiona, Mallory stops time for a split second.

Telekinetic Immobilization: both Cordelia and Fiona use this feat of telekinesis on March’s sickle by suspending it in mid air motionless.

Thermokinesis; When Madison holds the arm of Dahmer she uses her powers to burn his hand without the use of Pyrokinesis.

Mallory’s “Spidey Sense”: Mallory was able to psychically envision the locations of Ramirez and the Zodiac. Now if I had to make a name for this power it would be called Temporal Sight, which basically allows Mallory to see difference points in time, like the past, present, and future similar to Cordelia’s second sight.

Temporal Displacement: Mallory could use her time powers to bring Ramirez into the past, having him be brutally and fatally jumped.

Diabetic Transference: When Coco and Queenie combine their powers, Coco is allowed to transfer her blood sugar levels to the zodiac, making him go into a diabetic shock killing him

In an interview with Kathryn Hahn at D23, the interviewer tells her that she’s playing as another witch after Agatha and Kathryn responds by saying she’s been type cast as a witch. Now what’s funny about that is Kathryn isn’t necessarily wrong, but I don’t think she was cast as Gothel because she’s a “witch”, but because Agatha was similarly written like Gothel. Both “witches” are after two magically gifted young woman for their own purposes. Gothel wants youth and Agatha wants power.

Now another thing I wanted to point out is that Mother Gothel isn’t even a witch like most people say. Gothel has no innate magical powers and only used the flower to retain her vitality and youth and later used Rapunzel’s hair to do the same things. I know in the classic fairy tale she’s a witch with real magic, but in the film she has no magic once so ever. She’s just a cunning and manipulative old woman under the guise of a maternal middle woman

My introduction to the X-Men and Jean Grey was from the 2000 film and shortly after X-Men: Evolution, but I digress. The main topic I want to talk about is Jean Grey played by both Famke Jansen and Sophie Turner, as well as the countless retcons and contradictions that this character faced in the franchise.

First off, I love Famke Jansen’s portrayal of Jean Grey, specifically in X2. She will always be my favorite version of Jean Grey. In the first film she really didn’t have that much to do besides be a subtle love interest for Wolverine and the occasional voice of reason, but other than that she was lowkey useless. However in X2 she was the most powerful one on the team, specifically when it came to her using the powers of the “Phoenix”. She sadly made her tragic “end” in X2 when using her “Phoenix” powers to shield the water from hitting the X-Jet, also sacrificing herself in the process. Now I want to point out that in the first film after Mystique poisons Cerebro and Jean uses it, that moment triggered the “ Phoenix” slowly undoing the telepathic building blocks that Xavier did on Jean to block the “Phoenix” from her mind. Even during the battle with Magneto after Cyclops shoots him, Jean looked to the side and felt something. Now going to back to the X2, when Jean would use her full power a fiery psionic energy would appear on her eyes and later crested shields with it. Even at the end of the film a phoenix silhouette appears under the water, hinting that Jean survived.

Now in The Last Stand this is where everything we saw with Jean’s powers in X2 changed drastically. There’s no more psionic energy it’s just Jean disintegrating matter on a molecular, which is still cool and impressive, but i preferred the psychic fire.

The Phoenix aspect of the Fox films really fumbled because they constantly retconned it over and over again without any explanation.

Then we have Apocalypse, which introduces Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, who I thought did a decent job even though it wasn’t on the same level as Famke. What I appreciated about Sophie’s Jean was that they brought back the fiery psionic energy again, this time in the shape of the Phoenix, even though it’s not actually called the Phoenix, unlike in The Last Stand.

Now the most retconned and contradicted film in the franchise when it came to the Phoenix and Jeans powers was of course in Dark Phoenix. This film made me so mad because they basically combined all of the aspects of Jeans retconned powers in one movie. Not only that, but actually tried to make a comic accurate Phoenix with the actual cosmic entity, not actually called Phoenix by the way, being in it. Like Jean could’ve done all of those things like create fiery energy, disintegrate matter, and fly without the actual Phoenix force. So what was the point of that? From my understanding it just enhanced her already omega level powers, when she literally did the same things in X2, Last Stand, and Apocalypse.

All I know is I hope MCU/Sadie Sink brings more accuracy and consistency to Jean’s powers than what Fox did

Speedster Boost: The more Quicksilver runs increases his movement speed with a gauge showing the max speed he can use. The faster he is allows him to run up walls and environments. If he stops running, moving, or if he’s attacked the speed boost dwindles rapidly.

Primary Attack: Rapid Punch: Quicksilvers primary attack allows him to rapidly punch an opponent. The faster he is the more damage and healing he does to enemies and ally’s he punches

Ability 1: Molecular Stasis: Quicksilver runs through walls and enemies, stunning and damaging enemies he passes through. If he passes through an ally they gain a speed boost and healing for a short time.

Ability 2: Speed Blitz: Quicksilver charges forward and generates a shockwave that disperses and damages enemies when generated, which adds more speed to his Speedster Boost gauge.

Ability 3: Temporal Replication: Quicksilver can create time traveled clones that can trick enemies. If Quicksilver or an ally passes through a replica they gain a speed boost and healing. If an enemy passes through a replica they are damaged and slowed.

Ultimate: Accelerated Perception: Quicksilver slows down time in a AOE allowing him to perceive enemies and the environment in slow motion outside of the AOE. Any ally near Quicksilver’s AOE will be healed, pulled in, and perceive time slowed along with Quicksilver. Enemies will slowly be pushed away from Quicksilvers AOE so they won’t be able to easily enter the AOE. The AOE would appear as a circle of silver energy.

With Black Panther 3 rumored to be kicking off the mutant Saga in the MCU I have a few theories of what they may do:

For starters I do think they’ll recast T’Challa, but not in the way you might think. The T’Challa we know in the MCU was obviously played by the late Chadwick Boseman who portrayed T’Challa in his late 30s early 40s. So what I’m thinking they will do with the character is not only recast him, but make him younger. He’ll most likely be portrayed in his late teens early 20s. I also think this T’Challa will be a variant of Chadwick’s T’Challa from Earth 616 the same universe the mutants could reside. Shuri will have to deal with the idea of her late older brother’s variant who is now her younger brother, and she will have to play not only as the older sister but as T’Challa’s mentor as he will become the new Black Panther.

Along with T’Challa comes the mutants, specifically Ororo Munroe aka Storm. Im assuming Storm will be portrayed at least in her late 20s early 30s and could have a history with 616 T’Challa like they did in the comics. The film will probably not only explore T’Challa, but Storm as well, kind of making it a Storm origin story film.

Now for the villain of the film could be Shadow King who uses his powers to plan to rule Wakanda

I hate to break it to yall but this wasn’t the best of the franchise even with the Wayans taking the helm.

The Scary Movie franchise has a whole is far from perfect but I feel like the Wayans, specifically Marlon fumbled the franchise with this bloated mess of a film. Now don’t get me wrong there was some enjoyable moments in the movie and seeing Cindy, Brenda, Shorty, and Ray reunite was amazing.

The whole issue with the movie is that there’s too many parodies, pop culture references, and not a structured story. The films main plot is a parody of Scream 5, with some parody aspects of Scream 6, Halloween, Get Out, Smile, and Sinners. But we also see subtle spoofs of Longlegs, Weapons, and The Substance, which felt very out of place even in a parody film. It felt like I was watching feature length sketches revolving around a parody of scream 5. Now if the parodies made more sense to the genre they were trying to make fun of I don’t think the plot would’ve been as bad.

Scary Movie 1 and 2 were both films that parodied a specific horror genre, with tiny aspects to a different genre, but then again these two films had a decent plot because it didn’t rely heavily on parodying everything imaginable.

Scary Movie 6 has a similar story structure like Scary Movie 2 while it also shared story elements like Scary Movie 1. Scary Movie 2 had the characters spend time in a haunted house while a serious of supernatural occurrences were happening to them. This structure had a sketch comedy feel to it but it made sense to the plot. Scary Movie 2 parodied haunted house films like The Haunting, Poltergeist, the Exorcist etc. so even though the story had sketch comedy elements it felt very cohesive because it fit the genre.

I feel like Marlon was trying to fit every aspect of Scary Movie 1 and 2 into Scary Movie 6 for nostalgia but in the end created a mess. I just wish if they would make a 7th film they need to parody films that fit genre. Like Marlon could’ve just parodied legacy/reboots in 6 and for a potential 7th film he could’ve parodied elevated horror. Like they could’ve easily parodied Sinners, Nosferatu, and Abigail for a 7th film because all three of these films feature vampires. Parodies basically write themselves if you read between the lines.

Anyway that’s my rant for the movie

A potential 7th installment of the Scary Movie franchise that could take a place a year after the events of Scary Movie(2026). Like other horror movie reboot sequels like Halloween, Evil Dead, and even the Exorcist they have extended titles such Halloween Kills, Evil Dead Rise, and The Exorcist Believer. I chose the subtitle Run as it’s a reference to Shorty’s iconic line “Run Bitch Run”.

The film will see Cindy marrying a wealthy man named Max Le Dumass, who unbeknownst to Cindy, he and his family are apart of a satanic cult. Cindy invited Brenda, Shorty, and Ray to the wedding as well. The family plans to sacrifice Cindy, Brenda, Shorty, and Ray to a demon through a game of hide and seek(Ready or Not/Ready or Not: Here I Come). The house that will be the main setting of the film is actually the Hell House(Scary Movie 2).

Buffy Gilmore will return as it’s revealed that she also married into the family and plans to get revenge on the core four for not inviting her to come back in the 6th installment. Since Buffy was a parody of Sarah Michelle Gellar she will parody her character from Ready or Not: Here I Come. Sara Campbell will also return to seek revenge against Cindy for leaving her dead. Sara will parody Melissa Barerra’s character from Abigail as she and other thieves try sneak into the house during hide and seek.

The parodies in the film will be Ready or Not 1 and 2, They Will Kill You, Abigail, Hereditary, Companion, Obsession, Backrooms, Send Help, Evil Dead Rise and Burns, Five Nights at Freddy’s, It Chapter 1 and 2, X, Pearl, Maxxxine, Black Phone, Stranger Things.

First of all I missed seeing Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks together again, along with Shorty and Ray. However i feel like we didn’t get enough Cindy and Brenda when they’re the true stars of the franchise. The film felt very Shorty centered which made sense since Marlon was the driving force for the new installment. The new cast however was actually pretty decent such Sara and Tuesday who could pass as Cindy’s real life daughters, especially Sara. Tuesday was my favorite character throughout the movie because her facial expressions even made me laugh. Brad and Dei Meeks were very bland characters as they had funny moments in my opinion. Elle was also hilarious being the sex positive character trope. Jack was also decently funny as well as he was essentially a parody of Jack Quaid from Scream 5. I wish we seen more of Greg and his son Jess. Doofy and Gail also return which felt more like cameos, especially Gail.

Now the plot itself is the biggest flaw of the movie because I feel like they could’ve just parodied Scream 5 and 6 as well as the reboot tropes. The main plot of the film is a beat for beat parody of Scream 5 with some references to Scream 6, and Halloween(2018).

Now the parodies felt very bloated as they were too many references, jokes, and spoofs of horror films and pop culture that it didn’t even make sense to the plot. Past Scary Movie’s used parodies and jokes that correlated well with the plot of movie this one didn’t do that. The other films the movie references are Sinners, Ma(Brenda), Get Out, K-Pop Demon Hunters?, Terrifier, Weapons, Longlegs, and the Substance. I will give Marion credit where credits were don on turning Hanson into Shorthand(Longlegs) and having Gail take the Stuff(Substance) to transform into Tiffany Wilson, but that still wasn’t enough as their appearances were merely cameos that served no importance to the plot, especially Hanson.

Now the 3rd act was actually pretty clever as there are 6 different Ghostface reveals with different motives. First it’s Jack and Elle who wanted to kill the ogs so they can lead the franchise, then its Anthony Anderson and Shaq who wanted to kill everyone for forgetting to cast them in the new installment, and lastly it was Shorty and Ray who wanted to get revenge on Cindy and Brenda for betraying them by doing Scary Movie’s 3 and 4 without them. It was very meta and hilarious. Now Cindy, Brenda, Shorty, and Ray leaving Sara and Tuesday to die in a fire so they could get their franchise back was also clever.

If had to give the movie a rating it would be 6 out of 10. It was better than 4 and 5, but not better than 1,2, and 3.

From my understanding by the leaked promo we saw from the video of the cast hinting at what the season is going to be I can safely assume the season will involve the ghosts of past AHS characters.

These ghosts will possibly represent a specific season each and are somehow released from either their location where they died or hell itself. Since we know the Murder House and Hotel Cortez are hellmouths, portals to hell, I’m assuming the Apollyon building will be another Hellmouth, but the mother of all Hellmouths.

Ben DeSoto will most likely be the catalyst of why these evil spirits are released because he’s either a warlock or actually Devon Campbell aka the new anti christ. As we all know Michael had the ability to descend into hell and basically grab anyone trapped their back into the living, as well as freeing a ghost from their haunting location. So I’m assuming that Ben will perform some kind of ritual to open the Hellmouth of the Apollyon that will create some sort of reaction that opens other Hellmouth’s across the country.

Now since the witches are returning specifically Cordelia, Marie, Mallory, Queenie, and Madison they will be the driving force on stopping Ben’s sinister spell, but how will they do it is beyond me since witches can’t use their magic to negate evil forces or can they? I believe that Mallory’s Tempus Infinitum power will come into play as well.

Now if I was a writer on this season I would create a fun spell the witches could use on the ghosts, even though it’s believed that witches can’t use their magic directly on a spirit.

The spell would be called “Mors Erit Tibi”(Death Becomes You). This spell would allow a witch to make a ghost experience their death all over again, pain and all.

I’m really hoping season 13 will not be subtitled 13.

If I had to choose a subtitle it would either be Hellmouth or Covenant.

Vivian Harmon from Murder House: The reason why she was my favorite character in the first season is because I couldn’t help feel bad for her. She had to deal with an unfaithful narcissistic husband, a cynically emotional teenage daughter, and the ghosts of the house, including her husband’s mistress all while being pregnant with the spawn of Satan.

Sister Mary Eunice from Asylum: the reason why she was my favorite character in the second season was because she started out as a sheltered and innocent nun who became confident and in charge all while being under the influence of the devil. Possibly the most creative villain in the series as a whole

Cordelia Foxx from Coven: the reason why she was my favorite character in the third season was because I related to her as a human being. She was always underestimated, especially by her mother and felt she could never get out her mother’s shadow. She started out as a timid witch and ended as the supreme witch, leading the Salem descendants into a brighter future

Dandy Mott from Freak Show: the reason why he was my favorite character in the fourth season was because he was amazingly written, specifically in the first half of the season. He started out as a whiny man child to a ruthless serial killer that became obsessed with becoming famous.

Liz Taylor from Hotel: the reason why Liz was my favorite character in the fifth season was because Liz was simply amazingly written. Liz started out as a man who was a closeted trans women, but when the countess so Liz’s true self she help her come out to the world.

Audrey Tindall from Roanoke: the reason why Audrey was my favorite character in the sixth season was because she was hilarious, simple as that. Her one liners matched with her British accent made the season a whole lot better than it actually wasn’t.

Ally Mayfair-Richards from Cult: the reason why Ally was my favorite character from Cult was because she started out as a scared housewife and mother to a political hero. She was kind of similar to Cordelia in some ways

Myrtle Snow from Apocalypse: the reason why Myrtle was my favorite character from Apocalypse was because she was even better from before when she was in Coven. Her one liners alone made this season so fun, and her burning Billy Eichner will forever be my favorite moment from her.

Margaret Booth from 1984: the reason why Margaret was my favorite character from 1984 was because she started out as an underestimated final girl and ended a psychopathic murderer turned ghost. She perhaps had the most gruesome death in the shows entirety.

Doris Gardner from Double Feature(Red Tide): the reason why she was my favorite character from the 10th season was because I also felt sorry for her similar to Vivian Harmon. Doris always wanted to be an good interior designer but was always put down by her self involve husband and sociopathic daughter making her question her own talents, leading her to take a pill that would in the end turn her into a pale vampiric monster.

Theo Graves from NYC: the reason why he was my favorite character from the 11th season was because he was simply played by the sexy Isaac Powell. That’s all I can say. lol

Adeline Harding from Delicate: the reason why she was my favorite character from the 12th season was because she was the best written character in the season. Her origin story and fate were so upsetting and gruesome that I couldn’t help but feel bad for her. She was an ancient witch who wanted to get away from her devilish coven, including her mother and twin sister who in the end burned and disembodied her. However she comes back as a ghost to end the coven for good.
