I’ve been spending time with esoteric hardware, completely avoiding screens and menu-diving. This is a patch between the Tilde Instruments Röntgen and the Lorre-Mill Double Knot. I thought the resulting interaction was pretty cool.
Having a blast exploring sounds with Elta Music’s Solar 42F, Synthux Academy’s Spotykach, and Hologram’s Microcosm. Decided to capture some tracks and drop them to SoundCloud.
Set the instruments in motion. Listened then followed the current.
Like breathing, this was autonomic and volitional.
For me, a beautiful starting point is a couple of simple patches and then just listen. A pulse or a little bit of movement that feels alive can shape the whole conversation.
This one started to open up pretty quickly, so I captured a bit of it.
I’m surprised how rarely Namlook comes up in this channel. His prolific catalog of music is so impressive. This album in particular is just genius. Spacey, trippy, melodic, and just beautiful.
