My story

I want to share my story and see if anyone has gone through anything remotely similiar. Tapered too fast of Lex last fall. No Withdrawal symptoms except rapid cycling manic depression. Didn't realize. Turn went into psychosis and then severe dp/dr. Then the panic and akathisia started. Ended up in hospital and got poly drugged trying to deal with insomnia. Here I am in the stratosphere, can't sleep, think, remember anything, blank mind, no emotions, numb skin, electricity in veins, digestive issues, breathing doesn't feel like mine. No somatic release. No vagal tone. Now my gums are going and I think I have hand foot mouth disease from hospital. So...the worst. just pacing constantly in pain and terror but can't really speak much

Is there even an iota chance of recovery?

Severe need hope

I tapered off lexapro last fall. Doctor approved. Too fast of course. Went through mania then severe akathisia. Now I'm severely disabled by it. Cognitively, severe memory loss, constant agitation, severe dp/dr, chest squeezing, electric sensations through body and more. Kindled from hospitalization. It's been 6 months. Will I get better at all?? And the anhedonia!!! Worst symptom

Desperately need hope

Mania to full blown psychosis with severe dp/dr, some hallucinations, feeling like body and brain electrocuted, insomnia, heaviness in body, numbness throughout body, anhedonia, severe cognitive issues, severe memory issues, severe SI and more. I'm barely hanging on. Can I recover? Please? Give me hope. months long now. intelligent, kind, bubbly, creative personality obliterated. cannot handle psych meds

Serious case. Hope??

I have been in active psychosis for about 6 months.

What happened was I tapered off my ssri too fast and all hell broke loose.

Im now in hospital for extremely active SI..I also have hypoxic injury from failed attempt.

Please tell me recovery is possible. I feel like a vegetable.

How do I get my brain back and is it even possible.

Hope

I need hope. Any sliver.

I have severe akathisia from SSRI withdrawal, compounded by one dose of Seroquel

I attempted to strangle myself 3 timed since then adding insult to injury.

I have never been remotely suicidal before this.

Can't sleep whatsoever.

What can I take? What can I do?

New

I am in my first episode of psychosis and its been really terrifying. In the fall I had mania and depression rapid cycling and then I went into psychosis. I had tapered off lexapro too fast which didn't help. Then I was in a crisis stabilization centre where they gave me 2 ativan and one dose Seroquel to try to help me sleep. Nothing worked.

Since then I've been staying with my mom and driving her mad 😭😭 the insomnia is getting worse and on top of that I have inner akathisia.

Any ideas what meds might help with sleep without worsening akathisia?

I think I'm going to end up involuntary admitted and I'm terrified. What will they inject me with if I can't sleep?
