Where is the best place to ask about finding information about a photograph/signature?

Hi all,

I have been perusing different subs to see which would be most appropriate - so if it’s not here, I’m sorry and I’d love to be pointed in the right direction!

I picked up a signed piece of photography that looks similar to a photographer’s who work I already own, and it’s signed on the back, but Google has been unhelpful in trying to track it down. FWIW, it’s a photo of the black sand beach in Iceland. I was thinking it was a Hordur piece, but I’m not quite sure, and I haven’t found this specific piece anywhere on his public portfolio.

Would here/where would be the best place to post the piece & signature for help in identifying?

Yogitoes headbands

Has anyone tried them? I’m recently getting into hot yoga more (and I enjoy headbands in general as I hate hair in my face during practice), and noticed Yogitoes had headbands that seemingly may also be helpful in the sweaty sessions.

Any experience with them? Reviews are either stellar or abysmal, no in between which makes me question it.

God, please, someone help. I am so frustrated at people who record all their videos on HDR now, and anytime I scroll past on my iPhone, the videos automatically go up to the brightest possible level.

I have had auto-brightness both on and off, I know how to do reduce white point, but even then the videos will still be super bright. I’m really hoping there is an answer that’s not “you have to toggle something all the time” because it will literally be just scrolling IG or something simple and it hurts my eyes every time because the videos themselves will never be anything less than stupid bright.

Does this make sense? I feel like I’ve scoured the settings trying to find something and the options seem to be adjusting the brightness on my *phone*, but nothing that impacts the videos.

There are so many people who idle their cars for an excessive amount of time. We’re already struggling with ozone rating for the front range. Why do so many idle for so long? Of course, there are days that are super extreme temperatures. But today, for instance, I witnessed four cars sitting, idling, for *over an hour* while their kids were at practice when I was at the park. A very nice overcast day, windows could be down, sitting outside watching practice, etc. Same with school drop off lines, or waiting for school to be out. Why don’t people shut off their cars if they’re waiting? especially with fuel prices only getting higher - you’re burning fuel *and* contributing to the bad air quality.

I’m trying to come at this from curiosity as to why, and if we keep failing for ozone pollution from the national standard and the EPA, do you think it would be feasible for enforcement against long periods of idling?

There’s always so much conversation surrounding diesel vehicles contributing to pollution, or running AC unnecessarily, etc but I haven’t seen much discourse into idling, and I feel like that could be a significant contributor we’re overlooking.

Any thoughts?

Are any of the local indivisible organizers or groups planning anything for the May Day general strike? Have any businesses stated if they’re closing?
