Title: How do I completely let go of a friendship when the things they said still hurt?

I’m struggling to completely let go of a friendship that ended after many years. We were very close, and even though the situation doesn’t hurt nearly as much as it used to, certain things she said and did still bother me.
During the conflict, she told me that I wasn’t a “girl’s girl” and that I didn’t have self-worth. Those comments really stuck with me because they felt like attacks on who I am as a person, not just criticism of something I did.
There was also a situation involving other people where she told me she had stopped following/contacting them, and later I discovered that she was still connected to them on social media. That made me feel betrayed because I believed what she told me.
What makes it harder is that she still follows and interacts with some of these people, while she hasn’t made any effort to contact me. We’ve now gone almost a year without talking. I recently made myself reachable again, but I’m not planning to chase her or send another message. If she wants to communicate, I feel like the next step should come from her.
I think what I’m struggling with most is the feeling that she got to walk away and leave me carrying all the hurt, while I’m still questioning the things she said about me.
I don’t necessarily want the friendship back anymore. I think I mostly want to stop caring about whether she thinks she was the victim, whether those other people believe her, or whether she thinks badly of me.
**For anyone who has gone through a painful friendship breakup: how did you completely let go of the things your former friend said about you? How did you stop replaying the situation and needing them to acknowledge that they hurt you?**
I want to get to a place where I can remember the friendship without feeling like I need an apology, explanation, or validation from her to know my own worth.

Guidance for a newbie going into social worker?

Hello! I’d love some advice.
I will be graduating with my BA in Psychology next fall at age 36, having overcome many obstacles to reach this point. My goal is to work in case management or child welfare. However, I don't have direct experience in the field yet, and I'm nervous about landing a job.
I currently plan to move to Southern California after graduation, as I’ve outgrown my small town. I do have a background in preschool education and hold an Associate degree in Child Development.
What steps should I take now before entering the field? Would volunteering at non-profits be helpful? I’d appreciate any advice for someone starting out in this space. Thank you!

Is it just me, or was Brooke’s reaction to the wedding venue tour a bit much?

In today's episode, Brooke compared touring wedding venues to touring colleges, which felt like a strange comparison to me. What’s even weirder is that Ben isn't involved in any of this planning. Brooke keeps brushing it off by saying he has a super busy schedule as a doctor, but it really feels like she's way more invested in this wedding than he is. Anyone else picking up on this vibe?

Can they be friends?

I’m rewatching The Hills for the first time in a long time, and a random thought crossed my mind.
Liam and Gunner are pretty close in age, so what if they somehow met and became friends in the future? I know it’s totally hypothetical and far out, but I can’t help but wonder how that dynamic would play out.
Would Lauren be total "speakeasy boundary mode" and tell Liam, "I don't trust that family, stay away," or do you think she’s mature enough now to just set quiet boundaries and let her kid make his own friends without bringing her past drama into it? And how do you think Heidi and Spencer would handle it?
Curious to hear everyone's two cents on how that situation would actually go down!

Pretty basic recent episode

I was listening to the recent episode of pretty basic, about how Remi has to ask for permission to basically gossip about Alisha or others. I feel like she’s lying not being truthful just gossips without an agenda I feel like she’s lying about it or that just me I feel like “she just likes to talk?” Also Alisha who fiasco about astrology with the house is beyond crazy to me lol I feel like she can’t make a decision or choice on her own for dear life. Anyway I just had to ask if anyone else felt that way when listening to the episode

Being miss understood

How do you stop being miss understood by people? My whole life in my small town I have always been miss understood by others even now as an adult, most people end up staying here still view me as the person I was almost 16 years ago when I was in high school. I’m getting ready to move next fall from this town I just hate that this still bothers me if you were like me how did you overcome this? Like I understand we might not be like by others. I just hate that people still view me in way where I’m still miss understood i don’t want this to happen in my new place.

Friendship guilt

How do you get over the guilt of being a bad friend in the past- I realize how immature I was especially with my communication skills at the time some of those friendships slowly fade we follow each other on social media don’t speak, I just can’t initially get over it. I have made amends with one person last year it was for the best that we are no longer friends. it honesty some of the things were not as terrible as I’m making it seem I’m just an overthinker and I feel things deeply. I just can’t seem to get over certain things I did in the past my life now is better I have a few good friends I just feel like these people still see me for who I was back then vs the person I am now if you have been in my situation how did you process letting go?
