Asking on behalf of my 50 neighbours ???? "If you see a man hanging out his clothes using pegs of different colors around the plot, are those really his own pegs? 😂"

What specialized ICs are inside Android thermostat controllers?

I am building my own Android based thermostat using a Raspberry Pi. I need specialized ICs for temperature sensing, relay control, and power management. I looked for thermostat specific ICs on Alibaba and found some are going for $2 to $5 each and MOQ of as low as 20. There are also other electronics distributors online offerring for the same price range but different MOQ. I want to use the same ICs found in commercial smart thermostats.

I am trying to figure out what ICs to buy for my DIY project:

• What temperature sensor IC do popular smart thermostats like Nest or Ecobee use?

• Do these thermostats use specialized HVAC control ICs or just generic relays?

• What power management ICs allow a thermostat to run for months on AA batteries?

I want to build my DIY thermostat such that it will work as reliably as a commercial unit without spending much. What specialized ICs should I look for and which has worked on your side

Where do you buy specialized ICs for game controller repair?

I repair video game controllers as a side hobby. I usually fix common failures like button controller chips, and Bluetooth radios. I got a friend who needes their joystick sensor fixed . I found replacement ICs on local town going for a price I cannot afford at the moment . I as well sourced across different online platforms like Alibaba where they are going for $1 to $3 each (MOQ 50 pieces) and also eBay where each is going for $3 to $8 each, and from specialty electronics sites for $5 to $12. I only need one or two ICs at a time so buying all these at the same time would cost me a lot.

I am trying to find reliable sources for small quantities of controller ICs:

• Do online sellers like the ones in Alibaba and eBay sell single samples of specialized controller ICs or only bulk?

• How can I verify that a cheap IC from is genuine and not a counterfeit?

• What are the most commonly failing ICs in PlayStation and Xbox controllers?

I want to keep repair costs low for myself and friends.

Which metal garlic press actually lasts longer than a year?

I have bought 5 garlic presses in the last 4 years. Plastic ones from Amazon broke at the hinge after about 3 months. Cheap metal ones from eBay bent when I pressed hard on multiple cloves. A cast aluminum press from Alibaba cost $8 and lasted only 7 months before the handles started bending. I finally asked a restaurant chef friend what he uses. He buys stainless steel presses with reinforced hinges in bulk, MOQ 50 pieces. He said the hinge pin is what fails first on cheap presses because they use a thin steel rod.

What I really need to know before buying another garlic press is:

• Does a solid hinge block last longer than a simple pin hinge?

• What minimum thickness of stainless steel handles resists bending?

• Is a hardness rating of 50+ HRC on the crushing grid worth paying for?

• Does a dishwasher safe coating affect long term durability?

I want a garlic press that lasts at least 2 years with weekly use. What specific features or price range should I look for?

Cold emailing apparel buyers for wholesale undershirts

I manufacture premium undershirts which are amboo cotton blend, tagless, and longer length. I want to reach out to boutique owners and corporate uniform buyers. I have found potential leads on marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Alibaba. Now I need a cold email template that works for apparel. What subject lines get opened? Should I lead with price, quality, or minimum order quantity? Also how do you handle rejection from buyers who already have suppliers? Any advice on B2B emailing for clothing manufacturers would help.

SOURCING FISHING TACKLE BOXES FOR STARTUP BRAND

I am writing a case study for my supply chain class about sourcing fishing tackle boxes. The company wants to launch a new brand of waterproof storage boxes for anglers. I have looked at sourcing options on marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Alibaba. The challenge is balancing MOQ with inventory risk. Should they start with a small batch from a Chinese supplier or pay more for a domestic supplier with lower MOQ? Also what about packaging and labeling? Does anyone have experience sourcing plastic storage products? I would love to hear real world examples for my case study.
