How did you guys choose which company your models are a part of?

Been looking to get into Warhammer for a bit, and have always been drawn to the Blood Angels. So, with the new edition coming out and the Blood Angels being featured in the Armageddon Box, I thought it was time to just go for it

So far, I’ve been having a ton of fun painting everything, and now I’m wanting to push myself more and get into using the transfers.

With that comes the decision of the company I want to use for these guys. Now, at the end of the day I know it doesn’t really matter which one you choose (besides Death Company), but I don’t just want to choose willy-nilly, you know?

So, how did you choose the company to go for? Is there different, general kind of lore that makes one company slightly different or meaningful? Is it just the aesthetics?

Just trying to get some ideas here, thanks!

Do I just suck this bad, or was something else at fault? PVP, LSS

I was in LSS, got down to just the last two. He was positioned in the center and I on the outside. He had just sunk another ship, so I took advantage and immediately started to hit him with my cannons--got his mast down--the works. He leaves his ship and boards mine, to which I kill him fairly easily. Taking advantage of that I hit him some more with my cannons, at least one stacks worth of cannonballs. He comes back and starts to take a couple shots at me, but I was able to one ball him, and keep lighting him up. I get lucky with another one ball when he comes back, and after that I was actually able to snipe him off the cannons and kill him.

At this point I was feeling very confident--I'd killed him about four times, who wouldn't. But he just wouldn't sink, and this is in spite of the fact that he was off his ship boarding me at a couple times and all the time he spent in the fairy.

Eventually, I got zoned out due to my poor positioning, which is the only obvious flaw I can see, but as far as the combat itself it might have actually been the best I've ever done. I'm not the best at PVP, but all my shots just went my way.

So, now I'm very confused, and am hoping for some tips. Thanks

UP Big Boy 4014 photographed with an Antique Film Camera

Took these when 4014 was stopped and leaving Buffalo, NY. Thought it would be cool to shoot her with a camera from around when she was in her prime.

The Camera is an old bellows from the late 40’s that I’ve had a lot of success with, and I think it worked pretty darn well here. It’s pretty much just a point and shoot with a few shutter and aperture controls, but nothing super fancy

Unfortunately, the photos are pretty large, so Reddit’s going to scale them down. I still hope they’re presentable!

4014 stopping in Buffalo, NY, USA

Went out to the bridge overlooking the rail yard to take this, zoomed in about 10x, lol.
