My autistic son would do this for hours if I let him
He loves his “bugs” so much

I have this necklace in my junk/costume jewelry I bought from a thrift store and I’m clearing out my closet on Depop and finally noticed the tag, but like genuinely I almost threw it away cuz it’s 50% acrylic with those big chunky clear pieces which I would’ve never imagined were Tiffany.
Any insight here would be helpful, ty!
This isn’t necessarily a vent I just have to tell someone this shit because it’s so ridiculous, and I don’t have anyone else to tell.
This morning I was on a teams call with a client, and had to switch to mobile so I could transition into preschool drop off mode because I stupidly agreed to take a meeting during my drop off time.
Well we were walking out the door when my manager says my name, “Do you remember the rationale for that design decision, im not remembering because we went through a few iterations…” I put some of my stuff down to go off mute to respond, door half-way open, toddler squirming to get down but I can’t put him down because he has autism and always elopes from the walk between the front door and the car. So I am explaining the rationale on teams, and trying to hurry to the car so I don’t drop my son or all my shit im juggling lol.
I get my son into the car (I don’t lock it we live in a safe neighborhood and I drive a shitty PT cruiser no one’s gonna want anyway lol) get my son strapped in, sit down in drivers seat and realize I locked my keys in the house.
Sick.
I’m still in the meeting, and I’m literally using a stick from the ground to unhinge the screen from my bathroom window, and I crawl through in the most undignified way possible (imagine the caterpillar from “A Bugs Life”)
After 8mins of squirming and cursing, I get through, climb off the counter, grab my keys from the table by the door and drive my son to school. (WITH THE DUST AND SPIDERWEBS STILL ON ME FROM THE WINDOW)

I thought I could handle the stress of having a toxic coral because my setup is solid, but I keep having nightmares about my son sticking his hand in the tank and I can’t deal anymore lol
I got it a few days ago- and I just wanna give it away to someone who isnt a delicate butterfly like myself lol Please make sure you’re familiar and comfortable with palytoxin
Hey neighbors, just wanna put it out there to be extra vigilant if you can cuz this one genuinely took me out. Whatever my kiddo brought home from school has had me flat out for 4 straight days. Body aches, chills, cold sweats, high fever, nausea/vomiting, insane pounding headache, the works.
I actually think this is the sickest I have ever felt from a virus in my life. The fever nightmares were really intense too just an overall really kinda scary experience I wouldn’t recommend lol.
My son was/is actually totally unfazed by it; just a face full of green bogies which I had in the beginning stages and it just escalated to where it is now.
TLDR; if you see a kid with a face full of bogies stay far away!!!!
New to the hobby and looking for good recommendations for where to shop/ swap and talk fish!
I just started cycling so we’re a few weeks away from any livestock but again just wanna build my community because I’m sure there’s a handful close by :)
🐟🐠🐡
My son has ASD and his new special interest is fish and I have always wanted some fish and a nice aqua scape so here we are. (Btw they’ll be 100% my responsibility and never alone with the kiddo this isn’t a child pet situation just a shared interest)
I wanna start off by saying I don’t know shit about fuck in this space and I take “caring for a living being” VERY seriously so I wanna make sure I talk to the people who know more than I do.
So I got a small 5 gal tank that in my mind was bigger than one of those fish bowls we had as kids but im realizing is still… small
I LOVE those blobby looking goldfish SO much but of course a rudimentary google search (which I should’ve done earlier) is saying they need at least 50-200gal depending on size/variant so I figured I’ll work up to that.
I believe betta* are considered good starter fish, and basic search says 5gals or more… but I wanna challenge that because again I’m working off assumptions that I’m sure are based in some kind of fallacy.
I literally just don’t want any animal I put in this tiny tank to be miserable. Are there any fish who would be more than happy in a small tank or am I better off just returning this 5gal and starting over?
Thanks y’all. 🤲
ETA: Btw it’s also TALL and not wide which I am realizing is also not the best? Will attach photo in comments
Medium is cheap acrylics, background also has plaster and glue
Been watching bobs burgers and was like… I could prob paint a burger
Then realized my cheese should’ve been out on top of the meat lmao
Highlights are trash and overall it’s not impressive but I have been in a “I should make stuff…but if I make stuff I should record it… but I don’t have a proper set up to record it…. Im not gonna make anything” rut and told myself today that I just need to make things for making things sake because unused creativity is a malignant cancer that’ll destroy your soul.
So here she is. The backwards burger
Texture is plaster mixed with glue and paint, something I’ve had in my head that didn’t play out how I expected and ended up the background. lol
