17M | Looking for people who can actually hold a conversation 👻

Hey! I'm 17M from India.

I'm into gaming, cars, music, anime, and random late-night conversations.

Looking for people around my age (16–19) who are down to talk about literally anything.

If we get along, we can exchange Snapchat.

Just DM me with your age and one random fact about yourself instead of just saying "hi." 😭

I asked ChatGPT to visualize curiosity as a place. This is what it created

From cave paintings to quantum computers, I wanted a single image that captured humanity's endless pursuit of knowledge.

If this place existed, what's the first thing you'd explore?

This is exactly why so many normal Indians end up getting stereotyped online

I blurred the person's username because I'm not trying to send hate toward anyone.

I received these DMs from someone who started talking about wanting to have sex with their cousin and saying the only thing stopping them was where they lived.

Every time I see conversations like this, I get frustrated—not just because it's creepy, but because behavior like this contributes to stereotypes that affect other Indians who have done nothing wrong.

I've personally noticed people becoming more cautious or even refusing to talk to me after finding out I'm Indian, and I can't help but think experiences like this play a role.

I'm not saying this behavior is unique to Indians or that it represents Indians as a whole. It clearly doesn't. But it's frustrating when the actions of some people end up damaging the reputation of everyone else.

What are your thoughts?

If your conversations don't die after 5 minutes, this post is for you.

I swear every conversation goes like this:

"Hey"

"Hey"

"Wyd?"

"Nothing much."

...and that's the end of it. 😭

So here's me giving this one more shot.

I'm 17, from India. I'm into cars, gaming, music, and video editing. I can literally talk for hours if the conversation is interesting, whether it's random late-night thoughts, memes, life, or just stupid stuff.

If you're around my age and looking for an actual long-term friend instead of a 5 - minute chat, drop a comment or DM me.

Just one request: don't start with just "hi." Tell me something random about yourself, your favorite hobby, or the weirdest thing that happened to you this week.

Let's see if Reddit can actually help people make genuine friends. 🤝

Looking for people who actually want long-term friendship

Hey everyone,

I'm 17M and looking to make some genuine friends. Not just a 5-minute conversation that dies the next day.

A little about me:

• I enjoy self-improvement and learning new things.

• I'm trying to improve my communication skills.

• I'm a good listener and don't mind talking about random topics.

• Open to chatting with anyone as long as you're respectful.

• I watch anime also

If you're also looking for a long-term friendship, Comment or DM me
