How do you remove hotspots in lightroom?

I recently photographed an outdoor family session in the late morning on a 100F day. To keep the skies, I used off camera flash (x2) but could not use a modifier because there was a breeze that day and I didn't have anything to hold my stands down (newb mistake, I know- we were all very grateful for that breeze though). Everyone in the photos are hot and getting oily and it shows in the photos.

So far I've been using a masking brush with texture pulled down, but there's got to be another way. I have also tried the healing brush tool, but there's so many hotspots that it's not working very well (not much to choose from for the healing part of the brush).

What is your go to method to removing hotspots in Lightroom?

Has anyone ever brought translucent face powder with them to a session and applied it to their clients? How was that recieved? I've done that once, for my niece- she didn't care and was grateful to not have shiny spots on her skin, but I just don't know how that would go over with 'strangers' or a group of them!

Furthermore, does anyone have modifier recommendations for the Godox ADPro200ii that doesn't fall over at the slightest breeze? Or good sandbag/weight recommendations?

Where to get good photo references to create art?

Hello All!!

I'm hosting an art class for youth this week and I'm hoping to find some references for them to use for their projects. I would prefer colorful bugs as the class is on color theory using the cyan, magenta, and yellow color palette. Naturally, I'm hoping for bright colored creatures!

I'm thinking moths, butterflies, caterpillars, beetles- anything colorful.

I feel icky just downloading photos from google images. Knowing a little bit about copyright law, it feels wrong. Is there anywhere I can ethically download and print images for the kids to use as references?

The class will have 13 students, so I'm hoping to have about 15 or so references. The students have been asked to bring photo references that they took earlier this summer with me on a photo walk, but not all the kids attended my photo class, so they won't all have references. Plus I know some of them won't bring any of the photos that they did take.

Any ideas on cleaning up the background exactly the same on several images for an animated GIF?

I'm creating an animated GIF of a couple getting engaged at a national park. There are people walking around in the background of all the images. I'm hoping that there is some way for me to stack them and remove the background individuals so that the background is exactly the same from photo to photo so that the GIF looks seamless. Any ideas? I am using Lightroom/Photoshop.

If I was doing this for one photo, I might just use the removal tool, but I'm sure it would fill in differently for every photo.

Thanks for the help!

ISO Pattern similar to the "Catrin" dress by Joyfolie

I'm looking for a similar dress pattern to the Catrin dress by Joyfolie. I am absolutely in love with this design (I love all the Joyfolie pieces I already own the quality is fantastic!) and would love to make it for my littles. I don't really need an exact pattern for the skirt as I think I could wing that, but the top is something I would like guidance with.

I found something kind of similar: the Edessa dress by Little Lizard King on Etsy; but it's not quite a perfect match for the top. I already own a few patterns by LIttle Lizard King, so I trust them as a seller, but wish the top was just more similar.

Do you have any recommendations? I would love to hear what you all have to say! Thank you!!

Does this mean my SD card is going out or there is something wrong with the camera?

I've seen these 'incomplete' or 'corrupted' files a few times in the past few months. I'm guessing it means this SD card is going bad? Or is it a problem with the camera?

I'm pretty sure this has happened on a couple of my different rigs, so my gut tells me it's an SD card issue. I haven't been able to catch it in the past since sometimes it takes me a while to get to culling the photos and I don't know what card the bad images came off of. This time, I know what card it's from!
