Heartbroken because I've been watching just one laptop for a whole YEAR - Lenovo Aura 14" 2 in 1 w/Oled screen & Wacom Pen, 32gb, 1T memory. I trusted that it would go down in price at Best Buy on Thanksgiving weekend, and instead, it went up $350! Lenovo didn't raise their prices until Feb, because they had been hoarding the chips, but Bust Buy raised them anyway 2 months early. :( Sku 6615766

I was unaware that they would suddenly stop producing this model at all in the spring and instead "improved" the screen and doubled the price, calling it a different model. Have been checking for Open Boxes several times a day, nothing here near Los Angeles. Ebay has a few, but the sellers have no reputations!

For sure I need Oled screen, Wacom Pen (I have an old Wacom, just too finicky, and the reviews of this pen are great) and 32ram because I can't bear too slow. All ideas welcome.

How to transfer domains from previous terrible host

Hi, I have Hostinger now and very happy so far. I want to move 6 domains from my previous horrible no-good host who is literally standing in my way. They charge me about $30 per year each. I think Hostinger is less, at least for first year, but regardless, I have to get out of old company. When I ask for help, they pretend they lost the connection, and don't understand.

Can I report them to WhoIs, or who else to report them to?

They say I have to Revert Nameservers to default first. Is this true? I asked them for code to move and they wouldn't tel me.

Please help.

Lenovo was more honest than Best Buy!

No one knew about the chip shortage last fall except big tech and AI companies. But I had tabbed Lenovo's Yoga 9i 2 in 1 Aura 14" in Best Buy, and was following it every day since Sept, 2025, waiting for the price to go down from $1200.

Even though newspapers and magazines are almost all gone, I'm still a cartoonist, and needed the OLED screen and Wacom pen on this model. Surely it would go lower on CyberMonday, right?!

Instead, the next day it went up by $350!! I called Best Buy to ask why (in those days, real store employees still answered) and no one knew. Then I found the alarm posted by a Dell COO that AI had been grabbing all the chips, leaving none for consumers.

Shortly after, Lenovo revealed that they had been HOARDING chips for months, and had enough chips to keep prices low for all of 2026!  See the difference right here between Lenovo and Best Buy? Lenovo wants to keep prices low. Best Buy pre-emptively raised prices for consumers!

Of course, prices went even crazier, and Lenovo announced in Jan that even with their stockpile, they had to start raising prices in Feb. I have to give them credit though, for their foresight, and the way they tried to protect buyers. Unlike Best Buy, who raised prices 2 months early, hurting buyers.

A kind commenter in the Lenovo thread sent me proof of his buy on Cybermonday from Lenovo. I contacted the executive office at Best Buy and explained my concerns and asked them to price-match the laptop. The woman who replied was so sympathetic and said of course we want to help. What's your address?

I had already sent her my phone, email, LinkedIn link, and city agency links (Los Angeles), so of course I trusted her and did. She replied, oh, thanks for "verifying" yourself, but no, we can't honor that and bye bye. I was so upset my heart was pounding. I hadn't bought anything in BB for 7 years, and moved 16 times during Covid, so....how did she VERIFY me?

(Probably through Lexis Nexis, a Shadow data broker, who hides under federal guidelines.)

Soon after that, this laptop went out of stock, apparently forever. SKU: 6615766 Only 1 or 2 Open Boxes appear a week and are far away. Any suggestions? Any shared experiences? Do you think Lenovo has any they forgot about in the back room?! Please help!

Do I need a disclosure every time I link to my BRAND NEW storefront?

(Just kidding with the capitals. Am pretty excited, though.)

I have some blogs, and review books and movies on one of them. If I put a link to my new storefront in my sidebar saying My top 10 movies (I only have lists in my storefront) do I have to add the disclosure I may get a commission, etc, every time? I mean Google ads don't always say they're ads. Or could I just say AD, like you're supposed to do in social media?

I don't want to break any rules. Thanks.

New, so new

I've been a tiny Associate for a while, and Amazon just gave me my first Storefront this week. (Excited!) If this is the wrong subreddit, please let me know and I'll try somewhere else.

This is a baby question, and sorry to bother anyone, but I can't figure out how to post a link anywhere to my page. Sitestripe won't do it. Should I use my first tracking ID, or this new Storefront one? It has my real name in the url, so I don't think I'm doing it right. Asked Help twice, no reply yet. Does it say store or anything in a link? Anyone have a sample?

Also, I'm not a video person, so just think I'll make some Media and Gift lists for a while. Has anyone made any money just from them? Any money meaning...maybe $100 a month?
