Based on data from the General Social Survey https://gss.norc.org/get-the-data.html, White respondents consistently held occupations with higher average prestige, but the gap has closed slightly over 52 years.
I analyzed the General Social Survey, 1972-2024. I looked at occupations with at least 20 respondents and found their mean happiness score (1-3, converted to 0-100). This isn't indicating necessarily that they are happy with their occupation -- these are the occupations of people happiest with their life.
States with higher 8th grade math scores on the NAEP also have lower crime rates, r = -.49.
There is a significant and moderate relationship between state math performance of 8th grade students and the median state household income. Across all 50 states the correlation is 0.48.
GSS data shows that college graduates are significantly happier than those who did not complete college. The data was downloaded from GSS, https://gss.norc.org/. It was analyzed with SPSS and Excel was used to create the figure. Total N = 63114.
This shows occupational prestige by race, based on data from the General Social Survey. Overall, prestige increased slightly for both Blacks and Whites. There was no significant change over time in the difference between Black and White scores.

I did this analysis with data from the GSS (https://gss.norc.org/). It shows that the prevalence of self-reported infidelity (which may underestimate actual rates) has not changed much over time. Men consistently reported more cheating, and the gender gap slightly narrowed.
