Ages

So I'm doing some type of re read/listen, and juat had a minor "mental breakdown" over how old I'm and how long these books been out. At the time the first book released in my country, 2010, I was 16/17. I'm currently listening to City of Ashes, or however the second books its called in English, and Clary just said Luke is 38. I'm 32, 33 in October, now. How funny is it that I'm closer to the adults age now than the main characters. And the books are still being released. It's been a loooong journey.

Anyways, how old were yall when yall started reading this beloved pyramid schem? And for those who didn't started with her, how it felt to get into this world and finding out there was 7485893 more books to buy? Personally I don't think I would've bought them it I started "late". Books are quite expensive here, Brasil, so having 20+ to buy would be crazy LOL. Like even starting "with her", since the release here was years later, I'm still missing some, Magnus chronicles and the codex, and the "manga" but the manga didn't released here so I don't really count those.

Serena x Lola

Someone asked recently why Serena is so disliked, I just watched episodes 5.19 and 20, those 2 can show anyone why.

She "didn't" wanted to be the It girl anymore, so she tried to force it onto Lola, therefore using her. Then, when Lola took an opportunity to help Nate, Serena got mad at her for "using" her, when Serena was doing it to begin with. Then she supposedly got what she wanted, Lola was now the It girl, and guess what now Serena is mad at Lola, when Lola didn't even wanted it, it was all Serena plan. She then goes out of her way to hurt Lola's carrer and reputation.

When Lola figured out Serena was GG, she tries to prove it to Nate (who is a snitch btw) and it backfires a bit since she had no clue what Serena and Nate's boss was going to say. Now Lola also loses Nate.

So, with all that, Serena used Lola to get something, got mad it worked and ruined Lola UES life, and got out as "the victim" since Lola was the reason the secret got out (even tho she didn't even knew a screr was about to be blured out). That's what Serena is like, she does this type of thing constantly, fucks up, hurts someone, plays the victim and never apologizes.

Refusal to kill

This actually is a pep peeve of my for several media, the good guys refusing to kill bad guys because it will make them "the same" or "they are just kids". Like, fuck that. They would 100000% kill you if you let them, if you have the chance to kill an evil person just do it. It annoys me even more when someone refuses to kill a character and then that character goes off to kill someone on the good side. Like I'm sorry but thats on the hands of whoever let them slide the first time too.

When Emma got mad at Julian for doing it to that one guy who was basically saying he would kill them and then abuse Dru, like girl why the fuck you mad at JULIAN? Bro did the right thing, I don't make the rules 🤷‍♀️

Back to the "they are just kids", again, fuck that. First of all they arent kids, Tavvy is a kid, Magnus and Alec's son are kids, Dru is a pre teen, everyone one else that appears in these books are either an adult or old enough to be held accountable for their actions. Zara and her minions are all too damn proud of their prejudices, they might as well pay the price for it.

Eric

Eric being a fairy name is so funny to me, specially him being the favorite one. Is there an ancient "explanation" for it? Like, is Eric a super old Scottish name or something

I wonder why

Why is Rory to prone to cheating? She cheated on Dean, then with Dean, on that dude Paul, on Logan, with Logan. I don't remember if she cheating on Jesse but she did with him. Is it tied to Lorelei's issue with sticking to one partner without wanting to run away? Idk just feels so odd. What do yall think is the reason

OP

So whats yall thoughts on being "too OP"?

Was watching a stream last night and a viewer commented "careful with the side quests so you won't be too OP for the main story" and it made me realize that not everyone lives to be OP. Like do yall think/feel like being OP is like cheating?

I personally see getting OP as a reward for my work, I like when my games gets "easier" as it goes because I'm leveling up rather than it gets harder despite my leveling. Being able to almost oneshot a powerful enemy because I'm strong af is what drives half of my gameplay LOL.

Hi yall. So I'm having this weird issue. I game on pc and I use a normal TV instead of a monitor (cuz im too blind for the tiny screen lol).

I recently finished the 5th game and it was all fine, no bugs. The thing is I installed the 4th and first It wasn't even lauching, it would get stuck on the Rebelion(Rebelious?) part and close. After a while it finally launched but then a new issue, no sound at all.

Thing is, this issue appears on the living room tv, on my bedroom tv it works just fine. Tried the 3th game and is the same issue.

Surely the answer could be as simple as "just play it on your bedroom", but for weather reasons at this time of the year playing on the living room is better. I don't understand what the problem could be since the 5th worked just fine. I dont wanna mess with a bunch of settings because I'm afraid it will mess up other games. And as I said it works just fine on the other tv.

Anyone has a similar issue or has any idea what/why this is happening? Thanks in advance.
