but wanted to redo it, with some of the criticism I got in mind, and genuine changes I wanted to make.

I still want to maintain what a roster for Midnight Suns 2 would realistically look like, and realistically I think characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine are making it for the sake of selling the game better, if the game were ever to be made.

3.Black Cat - Originally I had Punisher here, but someone pointed out that he’s probably not the type to go stargazing with you. Plus Elsa has the gun gimmick already. Black Cat thieving and her bad luck powers could bring an interesting gameplay dynamic. Plus her inclusion would mirror Venom’s inclusion in the first game, since she would be another Spider-Man anti-hero.

How would things have changed?

A lot of season 4 had to do with Hank investigating Gus because of what Walt said. If Hank never thinks to look into Gus, how significant is the ending of Season 4 or the show in general?

I don’t see any reason why (that I remember atm) Gus’s conflict with the Cartel would have gone any different. Nor do I think it really changes the conflict between Walt and Jesse.

After the end of the Cartel massacre, I would imagine that Gus would still fire Walt, but not kill him due to Jesse not signing off on it. The thing that ultimately pushed Gus to trying to kill Walt, was him interfering with his killing of Hank.

If Walt never tips off Hank, and there’s no investigation by Hank, then Gus would have no reason to kill Hank.

So in this alternate universe would Gus still ultimately kill Walt, or would he have just gotten fired, and Gus would have left him alone to appease Jesse? Would the show just end with a salty Walt who got fired from his meth cooking job?

Taking a similar approach to Marvel Tokon, you want to add faces of DC to the game, while also adding characters who weren’t in Injustice, like Marvel Tokon adding characters who weren’t in MvC. Also characters who would look cool in the Tokon style.

Personally I’m on the side of the teams only being a story mode thing. I lean towards DLC just being random characters, since from a business perspective, it makes sense to try to appeal to as many fans as possible, rather than trying to shape each YEAR of DLC around a certain team or theme (like cosmic avengers or something like that). Also the fact that we are likely getting these characters 1 at a time throughout the year, makes trying to make a team out of them seem less likely.

As far as who I would want to see

1.Daredevil - My most wanted character for the Tokon, since it was announced. I don’t expect to see him in year 1, since he’s a background character, but I hope my assumption on that is wrong. It’s a travesty he hasn’t been in a fighting game yet.

2.Scarlet Witch - Obvious DLC bait. I’m shocked she isn’t in the base game, and feel like she should have been.

3.Cyclops - Hasn’t been back for a fighting game in a long time. The fact that he’s missing from the X-Mansion stage, makes his chances for early DLC very high, and I hope to see him in his jacket if he makes it back.

4.Psylocke - For the same reason I don’t expect to see Daredevil year 1, I also don’t expect to see her year 1. I just think she would be really sick in Tokon.

I know that Blade (he is really cool tbf) and Deadpool are the hype beast characters, but Loki kind of ended up being the standout for me.

As someone who was previously lukewarm on the idea of a playable Loki, seeing him playable has actually made him one of the characters I’m looking forward to the most in the game now.

Would she make sense to appear on the Deadpool variant cover? She also seems like the sort of character Arcsys might put in their game, and would fit Ghost Riders team more than I feel Punisher would.

It would seem that Daredevil ain’t making it :( and that he appears in a seemingly generic costume after round 1.

If I can’t get him, at least give me Blade. Let him beat the Deadpool allegations please.

Also hopefully DD is year 1 dlc.

1.Daredevil is a pretty acrobatic guy in the comics, so I hope he has movement options that show that. Trunk’s flip would be a nice thing for him to inherit from FighterZ

2.It would be really interesting to see how Arcsys incorporate his radar sense. I assume they would give him counter moves, and while I don’t think he would be as dramatic as UI Goku, I hope they take inspiration to some degree.

Ultimately Arcsys are far more creative than me, so here’s hoping they make a cool version of Daredevil.

1.Deadpool - Unfortunately between the doodles from the Amazing Guardians trailer, and the fact that one of the Tokon variant covers is for Deadpool, makes him pretty likely. I really hope I am wrong here, because I really want Blade to make it, but feel as though Arcsys aren’t going to put 2 sword users/gun users on the same team, and I think Deadpool is taking what would have been his spot. Could also be Gwenpool, but my gut say’s Deadpool.

2.Scarlet Witch - I’m still skeptical of the storefront leak, but I don’t have any real reason to believe it’s anyone else. She made her first appearance in a X-Men comic, so it would make sense to have her variant on the X-Men united comic. Outside of Storm, this game doesn’t have any other big female faces of Marvel, and she hasn’t been in a fighting game, so she has a lot going for her. Also while the “No More Mutants” graffiti is likely just them demonstrating the anti mutant racism in the story, it could also be a subtle hint to Wanda, though this could be a reach admittedly.

3.Daredevil - Ive already explained why I think he’s in the game on 2 separate occasions.

The TLDR is, between Hell’s Kitchen and all the nods to DD in the game, and Daredevil appearing in the Moon Knight comic that is getting a Tokon variant, he seems like the most likely out of the possible candidates. I think the next trailer will start at the new night time stage, and we will see Matt is missing from the window that he’s always at, and Daredevil will show up in Hell’s Kitchen.

4.The Champion - I think the Champion will be an unlock like Android 21 in FighterZ and the Tokon variant for the Thor comic will feature him. If you are someone who buys into the storefront leak then this would make sense, since it said 20+ characters.

Do you think Arcsys will do what they did with Android 21 in FighterZ and make Champion an unlock?

People keep asking where the grappler is at. He makes a lot of sense to be that, if he is indeed playable.

In the trailer when he gets off his glider, he seems to be a lot slower, but is still able to do stuff with it (like a puppet character?). When he is on the glider, he seems super fast.

Is he able to get on and off the glider whenever the player chooses?

Give us those colors for Green Goobler!

Or better yet a premium skin (like Injustice) that actually makes him Hobgoobler. That would be sick.

Magneto and Wakanda were part of the “leak”, but those are obvious inclusions that aren’t shocking to see in a Marvel fighting game, and don’t really confirm the leak for a lot of people.

A lot of people (including myself) are skeptical of the storefront leak, because neither the Hellfire Club or Sanctum Sanctorum showed up in the last trailer as stages.

Hellfire Club specifically would have made sense to show along with Magneto. It’s doubtful that Emma Frost is on Ghost Rider’s team, so probably no Hellfire Club.

However IF the storefront “leak” is true, then Arcsys are surely aware of that and may have purposefully left Hellfire Club out of the trailer, so they didn’t essentially confirm Scarlet Witch by proxy.

Now that Hellfire Club isn’t confirmed, whether or not Wanda is in the game, is still debatable, which is what Arcsys want.

Assuming we get Ghost Rider’s team at Evo at the end of this month, there is still an entire month of July they have to try to advertise the game.

During this time we could get trailers that focus more on the story itself, or a trailer showing off all the features in the game. The storefront “leak” did also say 20+ characters. If The Champion is a playable unlock (like Android 21 in FighterZ) then we could see a trailer for him, that would likely show his arena as a stage. Any one of those theoretical trailers can show the Hellfire Gala as a stage.

Still skeptical of the storefront leak, but this could be an explanation for why we didn’t see the Hellfire Gala.

We can both get what we want.

Matt not being outside during the day makes sense. The fact that he isn’t outside at night either is interesting to me.

If Daredevil wasn’t playable, I would think Daredevil would pop out at night in a generic costume and fight Bullseye (who we see is outside waiting for Matt to come outside). This would be very similar to the X-Mansion stage where the non playable X-Men characters in their generic costumes, start fighting the sentinels in the background.

The fact that Daredevil still isn’t coming outside, makes his chances higher in my opinion, and that to get him to come outside, you have to pick him like Storm on the X-Mansion stage.

Not to mention Hell’s Kitchen being its own stage (at least part of the New York stage). On top of that, they added Josie’s which wasn’t there before. They are putting a lot of effort into giving nods to a character who theoretically isn’t playable.

I know Easter eggs are just a thing, but Hell’s Kitchen goes beyond a little Easter egg. Plus I was on the Green Goobler train for a long time, because of the Norman Osborn for president poster. Then Arcsys crossed my ankles with the Carnage tease, and I changed my mind, because I didn’t think we would get 2 Spidey villains.

All my instincts are pointing to Daredevil. I’ve been on the Daredevil Copium for a minute.

I know some people will say that he doesn’t fit the “Outlaw” description from the Famitsu article, but as far as I’m aware, no dev actually said that. The outlaw thing from my understanding, was speculation from the person writing the article. The only thing a dev said (that I’m aware of) is the “Dark Hero” description. Now depending on how you interpret “dark hero” could disqualify Daredevil. So that’s up to your interpretation.

Daredevil is appearing in the Moon Knight (with Ghost Rider) comic that is getting a variant, so he also has that lane to get in.

I’m also very biased and want Daredevil in the game. Blind ninja seems right up Arcsys’s alley.

All that said, it’s possible Arcsys might be pulling an MvCI with Black Panther and Monster Hunter, and teasing DLC in the story. Moon Knight and Blade would make a lot of sense for Ghost Rider’s team, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see Daredevil pushed to early DLC.

A lot of people think Magneto is likely on Doom’s team, due to the storefront “leak” and probably just the fact that he’s Magneto. Are we sure though? Based off what Storm says, it sounds like Doom isn’t great with mutants in this universe. Would Magneto team up with him?

I do think there is going to be a story explanation for why sentinels are attacking the X-Mansion, and why some of the X-Men don’t join Storm. The person in this post suggests Nimrod.

Given that we are likely getting Carnage over Venom, it would track for Arcsys to do Nimrod over Sentinel.

The only issue is I’m unsure if Arysys do characters that large. I guess they could shrink him or do Bastion instead, though I think Nimrod would be more interesting from a gameplay perspective.

What are your guys thoughts? Personally I would prefer Magneto, and I still think his chances are good, but I am questioning it more now. Also what I’m saying would apply to Emma Frost, since a lot of people suggest her too.
