My premise is that I don’t think Hell’s Kitchen is in the game just for fun. I think every stage is a place we will be visiting in the story. As I explain here

I think the leaders will be selected by The Promoter/The Champion, which would explain why a young Ghost Rider is leading a “dark hero” team.

I think part of the story will be the selected leaders scrambling to find members for their teams. Like Cap going to the Savage Lands to recruit Hulk, I think we will get a scene where Ghost Rider visits Hell’s Kitchen and ends up meeting and recruiting Daredevil. I also think we will see what Damage Control is up to there, and l think we will learn why or how Shuma-Gorath/Gargantos got on top of that building. The Shuma-Gorath/Gargantos situation, might be why Ghost Rider shows up in the first place.

Also I know some people will say, that Matt being in the background deconfirms him but

1.Storm shows up in the background of the X-Mansion stage when you don’t pick her. They could very easily just remove Matt from the window, when you pick him.

2.There’s a very clear difference between how Matt’s model moves, versus how the NPC X-Men characters move. Not to mention, that Matt isn’t in costume, so this wouldn’t be spoiling his design, like the playable X-Men who I assume will also show up in the background like Storm, in the launch version of the game.

I know that an Easter egg can just be an easter egg, but I think making an entire Hell’s Kitchen section of the New York stage, goes beyond just a simple Easter egg.

Plus the fact that they have even added Josie’s after the fact, just adds to it, for me. They are putting a lot of effort into the Hell’s Kitchen section of the New York map, and I think it will count as Daredevil’s stage.

I know some people don’t think he is in, because they think Ghost Rider’s team will be Midnight Sons, but given that Robbie Reyes isn’t a Midnight Son in the comics, I don’t see why I should expect his team to be a straight forward Midnight Sons team. Personally I’m leaning towards an Amazing Guardians type thing, where they make some shit up, like “Midnight Defenders”, MidKnight Sons, “New Marvel Knights” or whatever made up shit.

I think Daredevil’s chances are much higher than what a lot of people on this sub want to give him credit for. At the end of the day though, this is just my opinion. Just looking for peaceful discussion.

At 0:16 the Promoter says “All selected leaders have received their invites”. Now there is more than one way to interpret this line, but one interpretation is that the Leaders were selected by the Promotor or The Champion himself. My understanding (from what I’ve been told) is that The Champion in the comics does likes to handpick fighters to challenge.

I feel like part of the story could be the leaders scrambling to try to find a team to put together. That would explain why in the trailer you hear the dialogue from Hulk, who is pissed at Cap for sending him to the Savage Lands. It’s possible that during the story they decide that they have to go get Hulk to fight in the tournament, and get confronted by him, when trying to recruit him.

In regards to Ghost Rider, they once said there was a story reason for why they chose the younger Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes. Based off his dialogue with Cap, he doesn’t strike me as someone who would volunteer to be a leader. I think he was likely chosen by Champion/Promotor. I think part of his arch will be trying to live up to the mantle of Ghost Rider, and he will have a coming of age type of character arch. I think that’s why they maybe chose to use him, so they could have a character arch like that.

This could also partly explain why his team is seemingly being revealed last, since it might reveal too much about the story.

Based off we saw, if doesn’t seem like Hulk is a dedicated grappler. So who is the games grappler?

If The Champion is an unlock (like Android 21 in FighterZ), he could work as a grappler, but we don’t know if he will be playable.

I’ve seen some suggest Man-Thing, on Ghost Riders team, which is certainly possible.

But what if it’s Magneto? There is influence that Arcsys could be taking from, to make Magneto a grappler. Iron Tager from Blazblue (also developed by Arysys) is a character who utilizes magnetism and is a grappler.

If Magneto is indeed in the game, I could see him being the grappler.

Based off the end of the trailer, it would seem we are getting Dooms team (and Carnage :)) next. That means Ghost Riders is last.

1.This annoys me as someone who wants the Daredevil bandaid ripped off.

2.If his team is being saved as the finale, then presumably his team would (from their perspective at least) would be the most hype reveal?
