Phone call breaks up when walk away from computer

I keep both Multipoint and Audio Switch on when at work, which means my Buds Pro 2 are connected to both my Pixel 9 as well as my Windows laptop.

When sitting at my desk, that all works great!

The problem is that when I walk away from my desk (holding my phone and earbuds in ears) if I'm speaking to someone on the phone, they complain I'm breaking up, although I continue to hear them just fine. I assume that has to do with the earbuds struggling to stay connected to my (then distant) laptop.

I don't want to have to disable Multipoint and/or Audio Switch every time I need to take a call away from my desk. Is there an easy fix/workaround for this?

New error: "Can't open this document"

I have a Pixel 9 running 17 and this just started maybe a week ago.

When I open some Google Docs - and I cannot tell what's special about them, they seem quite plain - I get this error:

>Can't open this document
Sorry, Google Docs is unable to open the document

Those same Docs used to open without issue on my phone - and still open just fine using Chrome on Windows.

This happens regardless of whether I'm using preexisting shortcuts on my phone's home screen that used to work, or directly from the Google Docs or Google Drive app.

I see someone posted this same question to the Google support site, with only a useless reply from a "Diamond Product Expert"...

Anyone else have this issue or any ideas how to make it stop?

Offline Maps downsides when online

If I download an Offline Map for my home area where I always do have good mobile coverage, will I experience any downsides? Will I lose out on live traffic updates or any other up-to-the minute information because the app will be relying on the cached map?

Connected to two devices and "Audio Switch": battery drain?

Does keeping Pixel Buds 2 Pro connected via Bluetooth to my Windows 11 computer and Pixel 9 all day (so that I can use "Audio Switch") drain the battery significantly faster than if they'd only be connected to one device?

Google Maps guzzling mobile data

I don't know what changed because I haven't changed any settings, but last month and this month I noticed my mobile/cell data just vanished. I have a 5 GB plan and typically will use about 2 GB during a month. I looked at my phone (Pixel 9)'s mobile data usage and it shows the following for Google Maps:

date range data used by Google Maps alone
March 18 - April 17 222 MB
April 18 - May 17 99 MB
May 18 - June 17 4.3 GB
June 18 - July 17 3.99 GB (all "foreground" data usage)

That last line is the most shocking since those 3.99 GB were used only yesterday and today. And all I did yesterday with Google Maps was open the app and navigate a 20 minute route. No watching review videos or pictures. Today, I got a warning from my carrier that I'd used 80% of my data - and then 10 minutes later I got another warning from my carrier that I'd just finished all my data for the month.

At that point, I checked the "Data Saver" section and saw that Google Maps was allowed to use unrestricted mobile data. So I removed Google Maps from being an exception and confirmed that "Data Saver" is set to "on". Now there are zero apps allowed as exceptions. I figured now I'm safe. So I paid my carrier $10 for an additional 1 GB to get me through the month. About 10 minutes later, Google Maps exhausted that entire 1 GB. Again, I was using it for only basic navigation.

What could possibly be going on here?
