Healer/Supporter games

There's a small subgenre of games emerging, where you get to play just the healer or supporter of a party of characters that you don't control:

Healer's Quest

Mini Healer

Master Healer Kale with useless party

Abyss Kitchen

I've already played through three of them, just got my hands on Abyss Kitchen, and am madly in love with it too. They are all some variation of "Single-player PvE with MMO-style or MOBA-style skills with NPC teammates that do the actual combat while you are essentially just a healer trying to keep them alive while they do the business". The player gets minimal input on the combat, and is locked into just trying to keep their NPC teammates alive through thick and thin until the enemy finally dies.

Of course, I'd like something a little bit more complex, as those games were mostly light-hearted and pretty simple indie games. Something with more character customization? Something with movement (instead of just RPG-style "stand on one side of the screen")? Something with waifus?

No turn-based rpg where you control the entire party, and absolutely no online team-based multiplayer.

Do you know any more similar games?

Edit: by which I mean, PvE singleplayer games with no online functionality, no co-op, no other living human players, and no control over the NPC teammates. I don't want a turn-based RPG where I control both the support and everyone else.

Is this game using AI generated content?

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4227400/Sineus_Arena_Survivors/

This game gives me that uncomfortable feeling but I just can't put my finger on why. Nothing is actually wrong, but there's no amount of scrutiny that can actually settle that uncomfortable uncanny valley feeling.

It is a 3d game occasionally using 2d art, but that is 2 sets of character portraits (2 for each of the character) that then get remixed with various backgrounds/poses/situations, but the two sets are so wildly different they feel like they are from two entirely separate artists.

...but none of the details have that telltale AI-generation melting or other ways it gets tangled up in details.

My mod is now public

IT IS FINALLY OUT! It is out and I am madly excited!

>Bug warning: in case you don't go and carefully read the Workshop mod info, please pay attention to this line: if you do something that causes another player to open a menu while they have a menu open, it will instantly cause a desync. There is nothing we can do to fix this. It is a known bug. Please communicate around it. (Eg if someone is looking at their draw pile and you throw an attack potion at them, you will get a desync)

Well, here we are. I've been saying "mod releases next week" for two months now, and "mod releases tomorrow" for a couple weeks too. Here's the project I've been working with a handful of people for a while now.

Basically... Back when StS2 first released, my experience with multiplayer boiled down to "Silent finds Flanking, Silent plays Flanking, Silent warps the entire run around Flanking". And then it happened again... And again... And again... Until I jokingly suggested that we should take matters into our own hands, and my friends agreed with it.

The devs have taken multiplayer into a powercreeping direction, giving the players overpowered tools and essentially saying "Go, do a crime". However, it always felt like you were playing alongside your friends, not with your friends, since outside of two cards per character and a couple colorless cards, your main source of interaction with other players was through giving enemies Vulnerable or Weak. It also felt like multiplayer was designed for people that didn't actually want to play multiplayer. It was sort of reflected in the post-game medals: in singleplayer you get a score boost for not resting; in multiplayer you get a score boost for... mending?

Multiplayer Expanded aims to amend all of that. Every character got 12 new cards added, and some of already existing cards reworked to interact with your team. You may much more often find yourself looking at a situation where the Block you have in hand will overblock for you, but will fully block for someone else. Or you may run out of cards in hand while still having energy, so someone else will draw for you, to keep you going. Simply put... There's now more reason to actually look at your teammates and pay attention to them.

To make up for the power coming from the variety of options you were given, we're slowly working on giving the enemies more ways to ruin your day. There are now new death options, ranging from getting a curse every time you die to punish a "burst turn 1, die turn 2, don't care because the powers remain active" playstyle, to outright wiping the entire party as soon as anyone dies.

Card Potions (Attack, Skill, Power, Colorless) can now be thrown at allies (yes, I'm aware that it's also a thing on the beta branch, this is different, keep reading), but the choice will be of your color instead. Just the other day, we had a Shiv Silent pull Arsenal out of a Regent's Power Potion...

The modified cards will actively adapt to a singleplayer and multiplayer version depending on what you are playing (eg Blood Wall will be "lose 2 hp. target player gains 16 block" in multiplayer, but change back to the normal "lose 2 hp. gain 16 block" when you go to singleplayer, without needing to disable the mod), and so will the Compendium.

All art has been either drawn (by me and a handful of other people), or was available for free, no generative AI has been involved in any way.

Also, join us on Discord to find people to play with, complain about balance, report bugs, etc.

And we nerfed Flanking into the ground.

Is it possible to set pen button to middle press instead of middle click?

https://preview.redd.it/4vl3t15o1b6h1.jpg?width=760&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9b46b55bafb053601e7f87f5fde9090758196bc6

I've just got a Deco Pro XLW G2, and while trying to set it up with all the little personal quirks I have, I've discovered that the shortcut key setting can only be middle click but not middle press... Or at least I am too stupid to figure out how to make it work. Anyone got any idea if this is possible at all?

I've played Arknights from release until chapter 8 concluded the Reunion arc, then took a break and forgot to return. Since then I've played a bit of Zenless Zone Zero, but the devs took the game on a path I couldn't follow, and my friends are in the process of dragging me back into Endfield.

Give me tips that sound plausible but are not useful.
