Reality Fracture Secret Lair Bundle: Value Assessment and Clearing Up Rumours

Reality Fracture Secret Lair Bundle: Value Assessment and Clearing Up Rumours

Reality Fracture officially launched today, and the secret lair bundle will be released on the 23rd.

(NOTE: Our value assessment of the promo pairs are using Cardsphere indices at the moment. Cash offers are lower. We'll update this with firmer numbers when we have them)

- At MSRP ($89.99) or Target's listed $104.99 price point, it's a steal.

- At its current TCGPlayer Market price of roughly $243.15, it's a maybe.

-Assessing its value at pack MSRP leaves it $73.92 short vs. the bundle's market price; using pack market prices puts the value of its contents ahead by $22.84.

-The promo pool is ten cards, not twenty, as one retailer discussion suggested: Wizards advertises two of ten.

-We couldn't confirm a guaranteed Sphinx's Approach from the cited official contents, so don't count that rumored bonus toward the purchase price.

-If each mythic is equally likely and the two cards are always distinct, the ten indices give an average pair of $82.31 and a median pair of $72.23.

-The lowest pair is $30.54; the highest is $177.06, from Craterclaw and Jace together.

-The high indices don't translate cleanly to cash: Craterclaw's best displayed offer was $18 against its $92.07 index, while Jace's was $35 against $84.99.

Corn Maze Superdrop guide: corrected release date, Maze of Ith promo, and drop values

-The Wizards announcement from yesterday had mixed release dates originally (October 12th and October 14th), but they've corrected it to say October 12th across the board.

-You get one foil Maze of Ith as “The Labyrinth” for each $199 spent while supplies last. There is no indication that it will be a potential bonus card that's possible to receive by buying one drop.

-A nonfoil drop costs $29.99, and four of the eight clear that price using older nonfoil card prices.

-Marvel: Zombies looks like a fifth only if you count a foil-only Vogar price as a stand-in for its missing nonfoil price.

-The nonfoil and foil bundles cost the same as buying their eight drops separately, but you save $19.85 buying both finishes of all eight in the $539.99 Everything Bundle.

-Fear Me, Love Me earns our most valuable low estimate, and Should You Need Us earns our most valuable high estimate.

I really liked Backrooms up until the end

Not spoiling anything, so I won’t say what the ending was, but personally I kind of felt like the movie was incomplete. It just didn’t really feel like it was wrapped up in a satisfying way to me.

Edit: just do add I still liked the movie overall, I just kind of felt like a lot of elements deserved more time and didn’t receive it.

Oddlands Guide: clearing up rumors and breaking down potential value

We’ve seen a lot of questions and misinformation about the Chaos Vault Lair that’s releasing today, so we put this together to help.

-Each drop contains ten of one basic land type, not two of each type and not fifty basics.

-If you buy three Oddlands drops, you'll get the least expensive of the three for free, not a fourth one.

-With the promotion: buy three nonfoil drops for $59.98, or three foil drops for $79.98, and you get 30 lands at about $2.00 or $2.67 each.

Lorcana - The Great Hunny Rescue looks worth it at $59.99, but one foil carries 80.7% of the value

• Yes at $59.99 MSRP on the verified card prices: $117.51 in priced contents, including $102.73 from cards worth more than $1 each.

• Against the $113.06 sealed-market reference: all priced contents are $4.45 ahead (103.9% coverage); the above-$1 subtotal is $10.33 short (90.9% coverage).

• Verdict: buy near MSRP if you want the contents; the current market premium leaves little room for price declines or selling costs.

• The $94.83 With a Few Good Friends foil reward supplies 80.7% of the verified total, and the value may go down as more are introduced to the secondary market.

Odds and Ends looks worth it at $149.99, with a $306.59 low replacement value

- Reference price: $149.99, based on the two most recent officially priced Secret Lair Commander decks. Wizards has not announced the Odds and Ends price.

- Low value: $306.59 using the cheapest eligible printing or finish of every reported main-deck card.

- Direct verdict: worth it at $149.99 for a player who wants the Yennett deck, the reported new art, and several staples. Wait for Wizards to confirm the price and final list before treating that verdict as final.

- Resale verdict: do not assume a $156.60 cash profit. The 24-hour print-to-demand window can add substantial supply, and replacement value is not liquidation value.

Usurp the Shadow Throne Price Impact

• Watch, do not chase: Shadow Puppetry rose before the deck had post-release results.

• Best remaining sensitivity: Swarming Gloomveil and Revel in Runeblood each have one tracked printing and fit the same Runeblade core.

• High-dollar risk: Face Purgatory, Grasp of the Arknight, and Spellbound Creepers may gain players, but their prices already assume scarcity.

• Clear supply event: the Usurp reprint should make Arknight Shard easier to obtain as a game piece, even if the original remains collectible.

Yu-Gi-Oh! - Maze of the Master is 62.9% below MSRP at $39.97, but breaks even only 10.2% of the time

• MSRP discount: $67.79, or 62.9%, below the $107.76 pack-based box MSRP.

• Reference practical expected value (EV): $25.31 after excluding cards below $1 and realizing 75% of qualifying market quotes.

• Modeled break-even chance: 10.2%, or about 1 in 9.8 boxes.

• Direct verdict: this is a real discount to MSRP, but it is not a positive-EV opening at current card prices. The box is only $0.68 below its typical market price.

Attack of the Vine is a $216 box with a $44 median opening

- Current price: $216.32 market, with a $205.99 tracked low on September 9, 2026.

- Reference practical EV: $113.64 after excluding sub-$1.00 cards and reducing qualifying prices to 75% for selling friction.

- Gross card EV: $170.41, or 78.8% before any selling costs or low-value-card exclusions.

- Modeled chance of a 10% value cushion: 9.3% before taxes and labor.

Is the Mastery Pack Warrior Booster Box Worth It?

Current price: $63.53 for a 12-pack display.

Reference practical EV: $62.04 after excluding cards below $1 and valuing the remaining cards at 75% of their tracked market prices.

Reference gap: -$1.49 versus the sealed box price.

Reference return: 97.7% before taxes and labor.

Scenario range: $44.74 to $80.91, or 70.4% to 127.4% of the box price.

Our verdict: Mastery Pack Warrior is worth considering for a Warrior player, draft group, or collector who values the opening experience. It is not a strong value-first rip at $63.53 because premium Marvels carry too much of the upside.

Flesh and Blood: Omens of the Third Age boxes at $52.99—good opening price, but exact EV is still unknowable

I run TCGSpikes and put together a pull-rate and sealed-value breakdown for Omens of the Third Age.

Using our August 30, 2026 market snapshot, a 24-pack display was $52.99—about $2.21 per pack and 59.2% below the $129.90 MSRP. The same 24 packs bought loose were $119.76, while a four-display case worked out to $59.59 per display.

The low box price is attractive for drafting or opening, but I don’t think a precise expected-value claim is defensible. LSS publishes one Cold Foil per 24 packs on average, one Rainbow Foil per pack, and two Rare-or-better slots, but it does not publish the Majestic, Legendary, Marvel, Fabled, Expansion Slot, or named-card odds needed to price the chase tail.

That matters because the visible top end is extremely skewed: the Baalghor Marvel was $1,624 in the snapshot, while Gate to i’Arathael was $279.44 and Voltaris was $187.71. Without insertion rates, those prices can’t be turned into a reliable box EV.

Rapunzel Collection Starter Set: $29.99 retail math vs. $68.65+ marketplace low

Target listed the Rapunzel Collection Starter Set at $29.99, although it was out of stock when checked September 3 ahead of the September 4 release.

The retail math:

  • Four Attack of the Vine! packs at $5.99 MSRP: $23.96
  • Listed collection price: $29.99
  • Implied price for the portfolio, special foil promo, and guide: $6.03

The marketplace snapshot changes the answer:

  • Current sealed low: $68.65
  • Sealed market price: $76.44
  • Four packs at the $9.31 marketplace price: $37.24
  • Implied premium for the extras at the sealed market price: $39.20

The new promo does not yet have an established market price, so I did not assign it a speculative value. My conclusion is that the bundle is attractive around $30, conditional from $36–$45, and a wait above $45.

MTG FINAL FANTASY Collector Booster value model: $79.26 average, $42.92 median vs $166.79 pack

I modeled 1,000,000 ordinary English FINAL FANTASY Collector Booster packs from the published slot breakdown and a Sept. 2 exact-printing price snapshot.

At a $166.79 tracked pack price, the model produced $79.26 average gross card value, a $42.92 median, and a 9.4% gross break-even rate. A tracked 12-pack box at $1,738.51 had a modeled $851.21 median and 5.8% gross break-even rate.

Neon and serialized Chocobos are excluded because exact rates aren’t published. Full pools, premium-pull odds, box results, and limits:

Four low-stock Secret Lairs: exact foil singles vs retail (September 3)

Edit: Bonus cards have been added in the guide as a separate column. So we now have listed values with and without the confirmed bonuses we know of.

I compared the four foil editions marked low stock on the U.S. Secret Lair store at 8:24 AM ET on September 3 against their actual Secret Lair singles in the same finish.

Store price → exact singles total:

• He Who Walks Unseen (Out of Sight foil): $59.99 → $68.31

• Smaug’s Spoils (foil): $39.99 → $42.10

• Welcome to Stardew Valley (foil): $49.99 → $47.13

• Magic Bag of Tricks (foil): $39.99 → $34.82

Bilbo makes the strongest collector case. Smaug is reasonable if you want all five matching cards; its available nonfoil edition is $29.99 against $32.52 in exact singles. Stardew is close, while Felix is cheaper to assemble as singles.

These are September 3 price snapshots before shipping and tax, not buylist offers or guaranteed resale proceeds. Bonus cards and order-threshold promos are excluded. The guide also separates exact-art prices from low/median/high comparisons across other printings.

At $77 per pack, Hobbit Collector Boosters break even only 22% of the time — 2M-pack value model

Edit: Thank you all for the comments and upvotes. I love how half of them say something to the effect of “thank you for the well-written analysis and data” and the other half say “wtf. Why is there data in my gambling sub?” You guys rock lol

I modeled 2 million Hobbit Collector Booster packs using Wizards’ published slot and treatment rates, with exact-printing prices refreshed September 1.

Key results:

• $62.74 average gross singles value versus a $38.39 median

• At the $37.99 MSRP: 50.5% gross break-even; 34.5% using a conservative 70% cash-out rate

• At the $77.06 tracked market price: 22.0% gross break-even; 13.2% at the 70% cash-out rate

• A 12-pack box modeled at $775.14 average and $708.45 median; at the $815.37 tracked box price, break-even was 34.2% gross and 10.8% after the cash-out adjustment

• Gleaming Gold Smaug is excluded because Wizards has not published an exact pull rate

Masters of the Universe Superdrop: which drops are you buying?

The five-drop Masters of the Universe Superdrop goes on sale September 14. I compared all 27 cards with the cheapest existing English paper printings as current replacement-cost floors.

The clearest individual buy is Nyah-ha-ha! (Skeletor): $35.11 nonfoil versus $29.99 retail and $55.26 foil versus $39.99, with the value spread across several cards.

The foil bundle totals $264.95 in current comparables against $199.95. The nonfoil bundle totals $137.80 against $149.95. Big caveat: Grayskull's foil number leans heavily on a $51.62 Konda's Banner, and Allies and Enemies leans on a $50.03 Sakashima—the scarce older foils being directly reprinted.

Deep Trouble at $40.01 vs. $49.54 market — worth it as a play product?

Amazon has Illumineer’s Quest: Deep Trouble at $40.01, compared with a current TCGplayer market price of $49.54—a $9.53 (about 19%) discount.

The box includes two ready-to-play 60-card decks, Ursula’s 50-card scenario deck, a playmat, and the accessories. At this price, it seems more compelling as a self-contained solo/co-op product than as a speculative sealed hold.

Which A Perfectly Normal Superdrop drops are you buying tomorrow?

The eight-drop Superdrop goes live tomorrow. Comparing the revealed cards with the cheapest existing paper printings, Dan Hipp ($52.02) and Gene Luen Yang ($54.91) look like the strongest nonfoil value at the modeled $29.99 price. Marvel Romance comes in at $39.21, while buying all eight is basically break-even before tax, shipping, or reprint-driven price drops.

The Zeta Set value breakdown: $32.67 modeled EV, but only a 2.07% shot at Chrome Mox

I put together a full value and pull-rate breakdown for the Zeta Set. The $19.92 pack models at $32.67 in replacement value, but about 78% is concentrated in the rare/mythic and wildcard slots. Under the baseline model, Chrome Mox is 2.07% per pack and only 22.2% across the 12-pack limit.

My takeaway: buy one or two for the MSCHF experiment; buy singles if you're chasing a specific card or treatment. Wizards hasn't published full collation odds, so these are estimates rather than official pull rates.
