The CT chapter of the YNP has issued questionnaires to the primary candidates for governor and CT District 1 US Congress.

Based on those questionnaires and candidate platforms, we are providing these score cards to highlight the candidates through the lens of the party’s values.

If you find these score cards helpful, comment and share them! If the committee feels they were useful to the community, we will attempt to score every candidate in the upcoming general election.

Charge while on a long drive, or let it ride?

When you take a 200 mile drive, do you turn the car to “Charge” mode after the battery is empty, or do you let it ride?

Has anyone tested to see which method gets better long term milage?

Meet Josh Elliot on Sat June 6th, 1PM at Parkville Market in Hartford

It’s a great venue and an intimate event that costs you $0. Hear Josh Elliot speak and ask him questions.

This article provides context around all of the congressional races and their district conventions last night.

If you believe in bucking the corporate establishment Dems that have capitulated to the Trump administration and the billionaire corporations like Palantir, pick the Challenger in your district and help them get signatures to get on the ballot.

Text Jillian Gilcrest, for example. She was supposedly the non-corporate progressive choice over big donor backedLuke Bronin. Instead, she showed how far she is willing to go to get on the ballot. Congress has its lowest approval rating in my whole lifetime. Cozy and up to that in a back room deal telegraphs what kind of dem she would be when she takes Office.

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) can get unlocked for municipal elections and federal primaries if Mae Flexer allows it to go to the Senate floor. Many reps and senators have said they will support it IF she allows it to go to the floor: Mary Fortier, Matt Blumenthal, Senator Looney to name a few.

Call Sen Mae Flexer: 860-240-8634 Every Day

AND

Email her at Flexer@senatedems.ct.gov everyday until May 6th, the last day of the spring session.

Our emails and calls have made a difference! With one last push, we can open RCV as an option for municipalities to use in elections in the future… it is the first step to get this across the line

Please help by calling and emailing 2x per day from now until Saturday afternoon.

For more info on RCV, watch this 3 minute video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NrbFVtJzXkg

Thank you for your help so far! Nearly 1000 people have participated in this campaign.

My first round of emails didn’t get any responses, but my second round of emails got replies from my state congressional representative in favor of giving towns the OPTION to enact RCV.

This year is a “short session” year at the CT state house. It isn’t too late to pass this bill, but time is ticking! Join the RCV campaign today! Send your emails more than once.

Next week, we make phone calls! Let’s Go!
