Garlic dills
The Serious Eats recipe. Would have been three jars but when I went to lift the third out of the water bath, the bottom of the Mason jar stayed behind. Can't recall that ever happening before.

Have a seafood "csa" and always looking for recipes for the cod. This was quick and tasty. Will make again.
Inspired either by a recent post here or in r/baking I attempted brownies with some discard. This is the Little Spoon Farm recipe. https://littlespoonfarm.com/sourdough-brownies-recipe/
Decidedly fudgy. Recipe was for a 9" x 9" pan but ours is 8x8.
Called for 1/2 cup of discard. Not sure I can really detect any sour flavor as they're plenty sweet (semi-sweet chips + unsweetened cocoa).
A modem classic. Did an 11-hour smoke of the pork shoulder on my grill. A winner every time
Propane doesn't seem to get much love here but I've had a Genesis for 12-15 years now and grill multiple times a week. 11 hour smoke on a pork shoulder today.
Watching (well, watched) Spain advance to the World Cup semis. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Hi - in town for a few days to pay my respects to Bottom of the Hill before it closes. Friday am planning on going to the museum and would like a place to watch the quarter final that day. Believe kickoff is noon so a watch + food option would be ideal. Many thanks in advance.
Marinated pork loin skewers with all the fixins.
Pork is marinating. Bread in the oven. Veggies in the brine.
Beautiful sunny Saturday in western Washington
