When a product has reduced sugar i want it to just be less sweet

Reduced sugar products are always full of sugar substitutes but thats not what I want. I dont want it just as sweet but now more artificial (or worse, full of stevia). I literally just want the same recipe but less sugar. 25% less sugar should mean 25% less sugar. Not 25% replaced with artifical sweetener

Milk cows really are perfect for introverts and homebodies

I always see people saying "oh you dont want dairy cows. They'll take up all your time. You can never leave home again. You have to stick to a schedule and cant go to events that interfere with milking time".

Well, good. I like that. I want an excuse to leave or avoid social gatherings. I don't wanna go on vacation to mexico or disney land. I don't wanna go on vacation at all actually. I want to be in my own little world where its just my cows and I at home, comfortable, sticking to our schedule, and not having to deal with people. I will take fighting a fresh cow over conversation any day.

Need an excuse to get out of a family gathering? Need to be home to milk the cow.

Dont want to go to that work event? Cow needs milking at that time.

Stuck in a conversation? Oh look at the time. My cow needs me. Bye.

Don't want to go on that trip? Sorry, cow needs milking and she only likes me.

Mice fighting but I have no idea who or why?

So the last two mornings I've checked my mice to find blood spots on this bridge... but the thing is none of my mice have any injuries, none are acting off, they still cuddle and eat near each other, groom each other... so I have absolutely no clue who is the aggressor and who was hurt. Obviously there's fighting going on because why else would there be blood? But I cant figure out who or why. Its a 40 breeder with several inches of bedding, tons of hides and clutter, scatter fed. The only things i can think they *might* fight over are the wheel and water. They have two sources but one is a bottle and one is a dish so they could very well have their preference. This is right infront of the wheel but I've seen all 3 of them run on it together in different combinations with absolutely no bickering.

3 female fancy mice all same age from the same breeder who were introduced to the tank at the same time and had been housed together by the breeder before I got them. Ive had them about a week now.

The red one and the spotted one are clearly the more dominant mice but ive never seen them actually fight and again neither is injured? It must be happening in the middle of the night when I'm asleep. I have no idea what to do here, when clearly someone is being hurt but I cant tell who is hurt or who is doing it.

Operation: Raise orphaned deer mouse without making it too tame for release- failed.

It's name is now Dennis but I'm pretty sure Dennis is female. Not that Dennis cares. Dennis just cares that climbing on hands gets her food and cuddles. Guess it's a good thing i was planning on getting pet fancy mice anyway so Dennis will have friends

Am I missing anything?

This will be for 3-5 females. We'll see how many i fall in love with 😂. I'm going to an expo this weekend to find a fancy mouse breeder, so i have a few days to make changes/get more supplies still.

Obviously I still need substrate- I'm planning on hemp, hay, and paper. If you cant guess by the wheel on the ceiling, I plan to make it several inches deep. I also know i need a water bottle and water dish. I already have a plan to fix that gap by the lid too. I also plan on getting a cork round.

This is not an exact layout, but it is everything I have to add so far.

40 breeder tank. Wheel is 8 inches. The brown rock hide is one of those ones thats open on the glass side and will be buried. I plan on keeping that portion of the glass covered aside from taking a peek occasionally. Everything else i plan on having on top. The green tunnel is not an "edible hide" its cardboard covered in hay. Everything except the rock hide and wheel are wood, cardboard, or other chewing friendly material.

Is a food dish recommended for the block food? I know the treat/variety feeds are better scatter fed, should I just scatter the block too?

These will be my first PET mice. I've had feeder mice short term before and ive had rats so I feel like I get the basics but I've nevet kept mice long term as pets before

What species is he?

I ended up with a (I'm guessing) 2 week old mouse after accidentally crushing his siblings with a hay bale :(

Ive raised orphan rats before so I feel confident raising him until hes weaned but I cannot for the life of me tell the difference between mouse species.

I'm in western Washington and cant tell if this is a house mouse, and therefore invasive and should not be released, or one of our native species

Freemartins are weird

I had bought a couple freemartin brown swiss (tested and sold as freemartins, they're intended for beef) and one developed what appeared to be navel ill after a couple weeks. She was treated with both nuflor and penicillin to no avail, so we opted for surgery. She urinated like a normal heifer so I assumed she had relatively normal anatomy.

Vet cut her open and to our surprise the infected cord was NOT going to her liver. She did have a patent urachus but also a second structure that appeared to be a penis. Same appearance as a bulls penis and the anatomy in the cross section looked the same. This is where the infection was. It was removed as close to the bladder as possible and "she" is on antibiotics now to clear up the remaining infection

Allflex feedlot applicator

Does anyone here use one of these and if so could you please give me a picture or video of how to load it? I've used a couple different types of taggers before but never this one and no matter how i load the tag in it doesn't look right Yes I definitely do have the correct tags, they're the exact ones allflex says to get for this

(Not my Pic but same exact tagger)

Looking for cordless clipper recommendations

I'm considering trying my hand at showing a brown swiss heifer next year for the very first time and want to start practing fitting, so im looking for recommendations for a clipper. Preferably cordless. Realistically I'll likely never need to clip more than two animals in one go so I dont need it super heavy duty, but something thats durable and wont break on me.
