Not too bad, so far. The Absolute Batman #1s are next. Dragotta is coming to Dallas in October. We are thinking Red Sharpie for the AB Noir.

These are the books he has graded so far. His next will be his Absolute Batman #1s when we go meet Dragotta in October.
He was super proud of his haul.
Went to a local Comic show and picked up some new cards.
This is my son's favorite card in his collection. This thing is sick. Can't figure a comp, especially with they upcoming hype. And no, I'm not asking for a comp. I know where to look.
I feel like my son did well.
I had no idea about the foil color when it came to the sketch cards. In fact, no one at either of my LCSs knew about this. It turns out, the Ant-Man sketch my son has from 2025 is much rarer than we thought. If you don't know, they are Silver (about 65%), Gold (about 25%), and Black (less than 10%).
My son and I were at a sports card show a couple of months back and there happen to be a small comic show going at the same time. He is 12 and has started to show interest in wanting to read comics so we checked it out. Joe Rubinstein was there signing. We didn't know his name, but one of the vendors showed us one of his more famous books. We bought it, 1982 Wolverine #1. He signed it and we went to the CGC table and submitted it. We haven't gotten it back yet, but that hasn't stopped the momentum. Since then we have been buying old and new books, but also some select graded books that he likes the cover art of. Any advice on what to grade or how to know? We really want more encasement than care about the grade, but also just want to do it to the ones he likes the looks of. He cares about value, but loves some less valuable books more because of the cover art.
New pick ups from a trade night in Dallas. Bonus for having Willie Cauley-Stein showing up for the Pokemon buys.
So my son is big into comics. I am a sports card collector. We realized recently that we can go to the card shows together with this as a common ground. It has been a blast. Problem is, we have zero idea on what we are doing. We have what we think are three really cool and rare cards that we picked up at the Dallas Card Show. Warning, one of them is DC. Just really curious how you find the price sketch cards and this "shadow box". Please ignore the pricing. We were guessing high and can clearly come down. We are really trying to learn. Any help is appreciated.
New to sketch cards. I'm a sports guy. Kid is comics. We discovered these as a common ground. These are our first three sketch cards. Really just want to have an idea of what we have. Ignore the stickers on the toploaders. Those were from other cards. Also, trying to figure out who signed the Ant-Man. Need to list it for CGC this weekend. Thank you for any help.
The pickups from tonight's trade night at Limelight Trading Cards in Colleyville, TX
So I finally sold/traded my Sapphire Mendoza at the Dallas Card Show a couple of weekends back. Here is a pic of the deal. I feel I did alright here. The cash is to me as well. What do you think?
Beckett is doing same day grading at the Dallas Card Show. They came through big.
