Source Official Developer: Operation USB
Greetings, my name is Kenneth, though you may also call me Ken or Kyle. Either way, I would like to illustrate what it is like to work for Project Orange Sandbox. It is important to note that they are not your ally. Their actions behind the scenes have been appalling, involving conduct that has led to the deaths of individuals and the near concealment of evidence regarding the true nature of their projects. I was personally affected as a victim of one of these projects, and this is the account I wish to present.
What is a Source Official Developer Mingebag?/ You guy's owe me alot it took me a whole week to type all of this
Unlike their real counterparts, based on the real-life Mingebag who are considered the most OG, legendary, chaotic, and foundational architects of Source Engine history, they originate from the technical default Garry’s Mod name.Mingebags are a group of toxic players who evolved into a fictional race featured in Garry’s Mod machinimas, alternate reality games (ARGs), and standard gameplay between 2008 and 2013. The term “Mingebag” describes the default user assigned to a player, whose playermodel was a T-posed version of Dr. Isaac Kleiner from Half-Life 2.
In Source Official Developer, VHS Archives, and The Filthco House series, Mingebags are portrayed very differently from real life, where they are simply regular players. In these series, the Source Official Developer, VHS Archives, and Filthco versions of Mingebags are depicted as copies of individuals who have played Source Official Developer. The Void seeks to replicate Earth and human beings, but within the game, Source Official Developer exists as an anomalous pirated 2013 version of the Source Engine. This corrupted version, tainted by the Void, features spaces taken from the real world but altered in abnormal or unsettling ways. These distorted environments are encountered during gameplay, yet due to the Void’s limited understanding, it fails to accurately recreate elements from Earth.
The true scale of the Void remains unknown. It is at least comparable in size to a very large city, but it is likely much larger—potentially infinite. Considering its nature, and given that it operates within the Source Engine, it is reasonable to regard it as boundless. But in Filthco House, Project Orange Sandbox B and C, and Source Official Developer Found Footage #1, we gain much more insight into how the Void and the Source Engine “misremembers” places and people from the real world. The Backrooms feature objects, environments, and even individuals drawn from reality, yet they are fundamentally altered. Objects may exist without a clear purpose or appear entirely out of context, sometimes stretched, incorrectly sized, or misoriented. Certain items may also be partially clipped into surfaces or other objects. Music suffers similar distortions, with copied speakers in both the Source Engine and the real world playing imprecise imitations that can sound strange to the human ear. The environments further warp familiar architecture into illogical, repetitive arrangements, creating an unsettling sense of distortion.
In VHS Archives, it is important to understand that it serves as a sequel or DLC continuing the story of Eric McLain. However, the key detail to note is that, unlike in Source Official Developer—where The Void uses the Source Engine as a complex system described as spaces replicated from the real world in abnormal or unsettling ways that mirror real-world environments in an attempt to copy Earth—in VHS Archives, The Void instead seeks to merge the Source Engine with the real world.
The Source Official Developer Versions of Mingebags are essentially copies of a person, created in a manner similar to previous versions. These versions are categorized into four distinct stages, each representing a different phase in their development. Additionally, there is a rare and alternate form known as the Alpha Mingebag, which will be discussed in greater detail later.
Stage One: Newborn
Newborns are the initial stage of a Mingebag, which in their early development appear as statues emerging from floors, ceilings, walls, and other surfaces. Over days, weeks, and months, they gradually grow until they reach their full Newborn form. In this form, they are depicted as tall, skinny humanoid creatures with green, yellow, black, and brownish-grey coloration, covered in black mold or vine-like matter, and marked by a distinctive black stain across their neck. This stage is notable for lacking a head and is further characterized by a coating of black, oil-like substance. They are known to manifest in two distinct forms: a human-like form and a vine-like form. Typically, they actively seek out objects or beings that possess a head, ranging from stuffed toys to humans. also, they are completely deaf, they often stalk and wander aimlessly, leaving black graffiti in their wake, and tend to interact actively with their surroundings. It is only upon acquiring a head that they gain the ability to hear.
There has only been one recorded sighting of an Alpha Newborn Mingebag, identified as the Gil Mingebag, featured in Source Official Developer-Found Footage #1. This feminine Newborn Mingebag stood 8 feet tall and had a black, rounded chest marked with a large three-claw scar. Her body matched the appearance of other newborn Mingebags—a tall, slender, black humanoid form covered in black mold or vine-like material, with a distinct black stain over the neck. However, the Gil Mingebag was unique in possessing the head of a stuffed animal, specifically a teddy bear, adorned with stitch marks across its surface, a matching-colored snout, and a brown oval-shaped nose. Her facial details included a fully black right eye and a left eye with a black pupil set in a dark orange iris. At present, no further information about her is available.
Stage 2: Mingebag
This stage follows the emergence of a Newborn Mingebag, which can occur either within the Source Engine or in the real world, as documented by the official Source developers, Filthco’s house records, or VHS archives. At this point, the newborn begins the gradual process of attempting to recall and mimic the individual they have encountered. They may appear in stages two, three, or four, but those in stage two are highly unpredictable and extremely variable entities native to the Source Engine. These beings are the result of the Void’s attempts to replicate life and locations, producing inhuman abominations. Since they do not truly think like humans, their actions are difficult to foresee. Some behave like furniture, as the Void’s flawed understanding of humanity results in recreations that are eerie, incomplete, and psychologically hollow. Stage two Mingebags can mirror the emotions or personality traits of the person they were modeled after, but others remain catatonic, acting as little more than static props or objects, existing without purpose. Some are fused to walls, floors, or ceilings, and some possess distinct personalities, typically falling into categories such as Aggressive, Wanderer, or Follower. Others attempt tasks like cleaning or making food—though the results can be questionable—and some engage in activities unknown to most. Often, Mingebags exhibit unusual and unpredictable behavior, ranging from hostile to docile or catatonic, as well as exploring and interacting with their surroundings. For instance, a Mingebag might repeatedly flicker lights while pursuing a target, seemingly unable or unwilling to operate doors normally, instead knocking persistently before forcing entry. In certain cases, doors within the Void, the Source engine, and even the real world have been barricaded with chairs, possibly due to Mingebag activity. Such behavior may suggest a degree of limited intelligence.
Stage 3: Corrupted People or Players
Stage Three is the third stage of the Mingebag, and little is known about it. The only information available is that they behave like the individuals they attempt to mimic, though their actions are distorted. They are typically depicted as being aggressive, calm, or interactive
Stage 4: The Fake person or Player/ The perfect Copy
Despite being called the perfect copy, Stage 4 mingebags are not flawless. They are locals and natives to the Void, the Source Engine, and the real world. At this stage, fully developed mingebags have reached their final form, but issues remain due to the existence of highly variable entities native to the Source Official Developer Series. These creatures are the product of the Mingebag finally copying both life and locations, resulting in inhuman abominations. Uniquely, their actions are influenced by the behaviors of the original individuals from whom they were copied, resulting in grotesque and inhuman abominations. As they have come to genuinely think and act like humans, their behavior becomes unpredictable and difficult to anticipate. Some take on the role of furniture, a manifestation of the Void’s flawed grasp of human nature, leading to recreations that are unsettling, incomplete, and devoid of psychological depth. Some are capable of mirroring the emotions and personality traits of the individual they were modeled after, effectively reflecting their character and behavior. In contrast, others remain in a catatonic state, functioning as little more than static props or inert objects, existing without any discernible purpose or agency. Some possess distinct personalities. Some individuals attempt tasks such as cleaning or preparing food, though the outcomes are often questionable, while others engage in activities unfamiliar to most. Mingebags frequently display unusual and unpredictable behavior, ranging from hostile to docile or even catatonic, alongside exploring and interacting with their surroundings. For example, a Mingebag may repeatedly flicker lights while pursuing a target, appearing either unable or unwilling to operate doors in a conventional manner, instead knocking persistently before forcing entry. In certain instances, doors within the Void, the Source engine, and even the real world have been barricaded with chairs, possibly as a result of Mingebag activity. Such conduct may indicate a degree of limited intelligence. the entities appear to be the Void' attempt at recreating life, preserving only the physical form while lacking the precise psychology of the original individual.Stage Four Mingebags represent the culmination of their development, taking on a fully human form. This contrasts with the widely accepted theory of their origin, which suggests they evolved from a mutated strain of simple hay bacillus. Despite this transformation, certain Still Lifes retain an unpredictable nature reminiscent of the original Lifeform, often pursuing individuals immediately upon sight while emitting loud, abrasive noises.
Alpha Mingebags:
Alpha Mingebags are individuals stuck in stage two or four, and if they remain permanently trapped, they mutate into something horrifying. This transformation results in Alpha Mingebags, which are typically 7 to 8 feet tall, including variants like the Gil and Doyle Mingebag. Most importantly, they are sentient, fully aware of their capabilities. They exhibit predatory and aggressive behavior, alternating between calm, confused, and violent tendencies toward anything, often pursuing their prey relentlessly. They possess an exceptional ability to navigate both the inconsistent layouts of the Source engine and the real world, consistently reacting to external stimuli, including pain and changes in their surroundings. Despite their aggression, their perpetually terrified expressions reveal a constant state of confusion and distress. They usually leave props, furniture, and various items to indicate where they last visited. For example, the Gil Mingebag leaves behind a black oil or substance on her feet and palms, which carry the scent of sulfur and leave prints across walls and floors, marking her presence. Doyle leaves corpses in his wake, each one covered in mold. Both are aware of their capabilities, but the most dangerous of all is the first alpha Mingebag, also known as the Woodbridge Mingebag. The Woodbridge Mingebag is a monster fully aware of his capabilities. He was the first mingebag created by the void, not a copy of anyone else. The void’s attempt to create a human without replicating an existing one was akin to describing the appearance of a dog to someone who has never seen one, leaving them without a true understanding of what it should look like. The Woodbridge Mingebag stands as an eight-foot-tall Alpha Mingebag, distinguished by a pulled-down fur hood that is part of his full-body, bright orange crew jumpsuit. This jumpsuit features a unique greyish onyx-colored fur hood, adding to his striking and recognizable appearance. He is a humanoid figure with pale, leather-like gray skin. The left side of his face, from the viewer's perspective, appears to be missing, while the right side features a black eye, a nose, and a mouth with visible teeth. Possessing the bite force of a great white shark, he wears two black gloves resembling the hands of a Half-Life 2 citizen, with four fingers fused together except for the thumbs which creates a Mitten like look. His left arm is tightly wrapped in a white bandage, while his right arm displays a Days Union armband. Resting atop his head is a black pirate tricorn hat, and on his feet are worn, brown, rusted, heavy diving boots. He wears a black X-shaped bandolier along with a dark brown chest harness draped over his right shoulder. His body is a fusion of the Return to Ravenholm Zombie, Archie from Minitoons’ Piggy series, and the Deleted Ravenholm Zombie, creating a distinctive and unsettling appearance. The Woodbridge Mingebag often ventures into random maps, though he frequently appears in Gm_history and occasionally in the real world. He is most commonly spotted in Ravenholm, as well as Gm_woodbridge, but his primary presence is in Ravenholm and Return to Ravenholm. The Woodbridge Mingebag consumes other mingebags and engages in stalking, wandering, hunting, and interacting with its surroundings. It places and leaves props, constructs structures, and uses various items to indicate where it has last been. This creature is hostile, predatory, and aggressive, with the ability to consistently respond to external stimuli, enabling it to react to pain or changes in its environment. Despite its aggressive nature, its perpetually terrified expression conveys a constant state of confusion and distress.

Project Orange Sandbox C: Entity Filthco_HouseGm_History
On November 29th, 2013, The Void from Source Official Developer released an unexpected game titled Filthco’s House, an RPG in which players assume the role of Filthco, a 17-year-old resident of Mercer, Ohio. Mercer, formerly known as Evalia, was once a vast region in Sweden, but a devastating earthquake caused it to relocate to America, becoming Mercer, Ohio. Filthco lives in a house that has been transformed by the Void into a replica of Gm_History. The following is gameplay footage from Filthco’s House.
