This little Sonata was my very first watch. I got it 22 years ago when I was in the 6th grade, and I had no idea it would shape one of the biggest passions of my life.

Back then, it was just a watch I wore every day. Today, it's the reason I spend weekends hunting for forgotten timepieces, restoring them, learning about movements, and preserving pieces of horological history.

Fast forward two decades, and what started with a single school watch has grown into a collection of hundreds of vintage watches, along with countless hours spent repairing, servicing, and bringing old watches back to life. Every watch I own has a story, but this humble Sonata will always be the most special because without it, none of the rest would have happened.

What started as buying just one vintage watch has turned into a collection that keeps growing every time I think I'm done. Each watch has its own character, history, and charm, making it nearly impossible to walk away from a good piece. I keep telling myself, "This is the last one," but somehow another always finds its way into the collection.

Please tell me I'm not the only one suffering from this wonderful addiction! ⌚😂

I've always associated the Invicta Pro Diver with a stainless steel bracelet, but I recently decided to try it on a brown leather strap just to see how it would change the overall character of the watch. I wasn't expecting to like it this much.

The black dial and gold accents pair surprisingly well with the warm brown leather, giving it a more vintage and versatile look while still retaining the classic dive watch aesthetic.

The watch is the automatic 200m Pro Diver, and although it's an affordable homage-style diver, I've found it to be a reliable everyday wearer with solid value for the money. Changing straps has reminded me how much personality a simple strap swap can add to a watch.

I'm curious what everyone here thinks. Do you prefer the Pro Diver on its original bracelet, a rubber strap, a NATO, or does leather actually work despite it being a dive watch? I'd love to hear your opinions and see how others wear theirs.
