انا حاليا ساكنة في فندق في ابوظبي واليوم كنت سايرة غرفتي والا اسمع واحد غرفته بعيدة بس صوت الصريخ واصل لين عندي يقول ل (بنته/زوجته) انتي يا قليلة الادب انا بربيج وتقولي لا تضرب ، انا اضربج (وفي نفس اللحظة صوت ضرب سمعت) وبعدين كان يقول انه ما بوديج المستشفى .... وبعدها طلع من الغرفة وشفته كان وجه معصب وصوت أنفاسه عالية كانه كان يجلد البنت😭 ، والله وانا برا انرعبتتت مدري شعور البنت داخل كيف .

صراحه ماعرفت كيف اقدر اساعدها بدون لا أتدخل ف بس خبرت الرسبشن انه الغرفة رقم كذا مسوين ازعاج وان شاء الله بيطمنو عليها🥲

انا متدربة في شركة خاصة واليوم سرت المطبخ اسخن اللنش بوكس وشفت موظفة في قسم hr ف سلمت علي وسألت كيف التدريب ووو... وفي نص السوالف طلعت فيب ودخنت؟! سلامات ؟ وجهي كان كله علامات استغراب كنت احسب ممنوع التدخين داخل جهة العمل في القانون. بس طبعا ما قلت شي خفت🏃🏻‍♀️

I'm(20F) an intern at a company, there's this guy (M 30s) who's a mentor but not MY mentor. I'm an extrovert and friendly with everyone so I'd chat with him sometimes if I see him in kitchen area, he's quiet, introvert and doesn't have office friends. Yesterday he cornered me talking for over an hour, ignored my hints to leave and made me almost miss my train. Then I found out he was asking another intern personal questions about me, where I live, where I'm staying this weekend and if I'll be alone! And this intern told him everything 😭 that i will be visiting a neighbouring city and stay alone in a hotel. He the other day said something offensive as a joke and when I called him out he said "i just wanted to see your reaction" Like he was teasing me?🤢

I'm worried because my actual mentor has been praising me to leadership and the company hires grads. I don't want this guy messing things up for me, but I also don't know if I'm being dramatic. Is this actually weird or am I overthinking it

So basically my mentor is not giving me real work to do. I'm doing geophysics internship with a mining company and my mentor is 60 years older than me . He doesn't help me learn anything new. I want to work with the team and handle real life cases but he is like no it's too confidential! I literally signed an NDA before starting this internship. I'm so pissed off to see other interns with different departments handling cases that the company is currently working on. I'm soo sad and depressed I don't know what to do.

So I'm 20 and still in uni and have around 5k in savings. I was planning to get a stock market lessons and start investing but I'm scared I will get scammed. I'm not sure what I should do ? Buy a gold bar and wait until prices go up?

So in 2 weeks I will be done with my internship, I'm currently working with the geophysical exploration team and I'm thinking of gifting them but I have no idea what would be appropriate. I was thinking of bringing chocolates for the whole office and writing few handwritten notes to my mentors.

Hey everyone, I just need to vent and get some advice on how to handle the next week and a half without losing my mind.

I’m currently in the city of my dreams doing a summer internship. It’s an amazing opportunity and I’m honestly thriving but my living situation is draining my energy.

I’m living in a hotel with a roommate. To make things more complicated we are part of a big friend group from our university. The biggest physical issue is that whenever I go out, she locks the internal door lock from the inside. That means my key doesn't work, and I’m literally locked out in the hallway until she decides to come and open it.

She has confirmed that she struggles with mental health issues and I really try to be empathetic and stay out of her problems but it crosses the line when I can't even access my own room! I recently overheard her talking shit about me to one of our mutual friends from the uni group. I am just trying to focus on my career, hit the gym and enjoy my life but dealing with this two faced behavior and getting locked out every time I come back to the room is exhausting.

I’ve already planned my escape. I’m moving out in exactly 11 days. To avoid a massive explosion that could divide our entire university friend group I’m just going to tell her that my parents can't afford this housing arrangement anymore so I have to leave. It’s a clean break and gives her nothing to argue with.

But I still have 11 days left in this room with her. For those who have dealt with completely irrational roommates especially when you share a friend group how do you protect your peace?

So basically I'm 20F and never been to abudhabi I lived in rak all my life. Now I'm doing training in AD and want to discover the city. I would love to hear all the suggestions and hidden spots! I'm open to try everything. My budget is 1000 a month for activities would it be enough?
