How can I block access to Pinterest

How can I block access to Pinterest

Is there a setting on my Starlink router to block Pinterest ?

I’ll enjoy my week off work so much more if anyone knows a way. Thanks

Do you post to instagram, FB, TikTok at the same time ?

Hi, I’m at the very beginning of my project as a content creator and asking for your advice - especially from those of you who are making an income from your content.

I set myself up on TT, Instagram and FB at the same time as YouTube and I tend to post my content on all of them at the same time. I’ve no particular strategy other than trying to build a brand / audience and wanting to see where my content lands the best.

So far, it feels as if I might get there on YouTube (with a lot more work). The others feel less likely for me.

What do the rest of you do - are you monetised on other platforms as well as YT? Do you have a particular strategy for using each of them ?

Thank you ☺️

I shouted "Help" at the top of my voice, but nobody came. It was 1998, I didn't have a mobile phone.

I did everything I could. It went on for about an hour before the paramedics called it.

I wasn't able to save his life, but he definitely changed mine, permanently. I stood a little taller, I'd found the self respect that was lacking up to that day. I made a point of doing the right thing and not looking the other way.

I made a career of it, a job I'd never have considered if I hadn't been tested that way. I'd like to think I did some good in places I'd never have reached otherwise.

All the decisions and coincidences made that day and the ripples they've sent across my life and others. You don't always know you're at a crossroads until you've gone far enough down the road to look back at where you came from.

We had a 7 hour planned power cut last week and as I work from home, I had to find a solution or waste a day's leave.

I already had a Anker C1000 power supply and I figured it would be fairly tight whether it would last the day or not. I managed to pick up this old 190 watt PV panel for free, and via a £15 cable got it hooked up to the Anker battery.

I was very impressed - given we're in the North-West of England, we managed to pull 157 watts from midday onwards. I worked all day without any issues at all running Starlink, a laptop and 2 x external screens. The Anker finished on 84%, I had nothing to worry about.

Now I want to find a way to capture all those free electrons. Thinking of mounting this panel on my shed roof with a small plug in inverter for a start.

I've had my C1000 for a year now, I'm always finding new uses for it. For (dull reasons) I had 12 tyres to check and inflate this weekend so I decided to give the 12v supply a try. I was very impressed. It ran way better off this than it would have done from the vehicle supply and it was much easier moving from tyre to tyre without re-running the cable.

I’ve lived in the same house for 12 years the first 7 with an oil boiler, and the last 5 with an ASHP.

I kept detailed records of oil deliveries and now have full meter data from the heat pump, so I’ve been able to do a like-for-like comparison.

Over 7 years:
– Oil usage averaged 5 litres per day

Over 5 years:
– Heat pump usage averaged 13 kWh per day

Assuming current prices (around 105p/litre for oil and 24p/kWh for electricity), that puts the heat pump at roughly 39% cheaper on running cost.

We made no changes to emitters or insulation during that period.

The house now runs warmer and is noticeably more comfortable.

Happy to share more detail if it’s useful.
