has anyone gotten simple tickets to resolve themselves?

half our queue is stuff a tech closes in 2 minutes but it still sits for an hour waiting to get picked up. password resets, adding someone to a teams channel, that kind of thing. i’ve looked at halo’s automation rules but they seem better at routing than actually fixing anything. anyone found a setup that closes these without a human?

How are restaurants collecting customer contacts and following up without it feeling like spam?

I’ve been running a diner for twelve years now, and somewhere along the way asking for reviews just became the thing I always meant to get to and never did,What kicked me into gear was a competitor down the street with a run of five-star reviews that all read the same, posted days apart. It just felt dishonest to me, like he was steering the unhappy tables in a different direction from the happy ones,I wanted to keep the reviews honest on my end. There’s a form at the host stand for anyone who wants to leave their number for a discount on their next visit, and that’s the only thing tied to signing up,If someone signs up, the text itself just asks how the meal was, plain and open-ended. If they say great, we mention Google. If it didn’t go so well, we ask what happened and try to fix it.

Our response rate’s small, but what comes back means something.

Lipids went the wrong way on keto and I’m trying to work out what to do about it

Down a significant amount of weight, feel better than I have in years, and then the panel came back with LDL noticeably up. I know this comes up constantly here and the answers seem to split into ignore it or take it seriously. My doctor is in the take it seriously camp. Looking for what people actually did rather than the theory.

How do you vet a dive operator in Southeast Asia before you arrive?

Reviews skew positive because most people have a fine time and don’t know what they didn’t see. The things I’d actually want to know are group sizes underwater, whether they enforce a real briefing, how the gear is maintained, and whether they cancel when conditions are wrong instead of going anyway. None of that shows up in a five star review. What do you look for, and has anyone got a way of checking that works from a laptop months out?

Have modern dietary shifts created deficiencies nobody is measuring?

Whole milk consumption collapsed, red meat is down, organ meats basically vanished from the average plate. Those changes happened fast enough that anything supplied mainly by those foods would now be low across a whole population, and we would not necessarily notice because there’s no standard test for it. Is there real work on this or is it mostly speculation used to sell things?

Beyond HRT, what supplements actually did something for you?

HRT gets discussed thoroughly here and rightly so. The supplement conversation seems noisier and more prone to marketing aimed specifically at this stage of life. I’d rather hear what genuinely moved something for you, whether that’s sleep, joint aches, brain fog or a lab value, and equally what you tried and quietly stopped.

Cat suddenly started peeing on my bed.

My cat has suddenly started peeing on my bed, specifically my pillow. She’s been completely fine otherwise, so I have no idea what triggered this.

I’m gonna get her checked out, but in the meantime, how do you guys protect your pillows/mattress from accidents? Any waterproof covers you swear by?

Trying to save my pillow before it’s too late

Topical CBD without the super strong menthol smell

I like the idea of using something directly on my knee after long walks instead of taking another oral supplement, but some CBD balms smell like I emptied a whole jar of Vicks on myself. I was Checking CBDistillery along with a couple other brands and realized menthol shows up in a lot of these formulas. I’m looking more for something I can use during the day without everyone around me smelling it.

does anything actually tire out a doberman brain rather than legs

he gets two long walks a day and still paces the house all evening. everything i read says mental work is the missing piece but the suggestions stop at snuffle mats. he clears a snuffle mat in about ninety seconds. what have you used for genuine mental work and roughly how long does it hold him for.

If your panel reads in range and you still feel awful, what did your provider do next?

Mine looked at the numbers, said everything was where it should be, and that was the end of it. I have read that some clinicians will look past a panel that reads in range and work from the picture in front of them, and that this is genuinely contested rather than settled practice. I would like to understand both sides before I push for anything. Who has been on the receiving end of that approach?

Is Facebook trying to kill itself with ads? 20 ads in 18 mins is unwatchable

I’m actually done.

Was watching a regular 18min video today. Got interrupted by ads every 30-60 seconds. Lost count at 15.

I get that FB needs money but this isn’t sustainable. I’d rather pay for YouTube Premium than sit through this.

The worst part: same 3 ads on repeat. By ad #12 I was memorizing the script.

Meta, if you’re reading this: you’re gonna lose everyone to YT Shorts and Insta if you keep this up.

How many ads are you guys getting rn?
