They laughed at BM and called him a liar btw

Almost a week ago, amid elections, BM publicly said that he was being interrogated by army officers and had been attacked at his house. Government subsequently denied that this happened.

Government also denied that Mutotwe Kafwaya was shot by the Army or treated at Maina Soko. And that man even laughed while making his statement at Maina Soko with Thabo Kawana saying it's a laughing matter all in the name of politics? How pathetic! His family even said he had been missing since Friday and does not know whether he is safe. People still laughed and even made jokes about it.

The government even went further and even sent us messages telling us there were no shootings or abductions going on.

Then on Monday, Govt says a joint security operation took place on Thursday night, 13 August, at a Kabulonga property, where eleven people were arrested and weapons were recovered. It also says BM was found at the scene. Yet it does not explain what happened to him that night - whether he was arrested, questioned, released, or simply left.

Today, the government has confirmed Mutotwe Kafwaya was indeed shot. And they’ve even changed the date to the 14th unlike before when they stated the 13th.

When I posted here earlier questioning the government y’all defended them I even got downvoted. One even said the government doesn’t owe us any explanation. SMH.

Now I need yall who defended the government to come out and defend this!

Since when did political affiliation outweigh our identity as Zambians ? You can be a UPND supporter without spotting irregular occurrences, this is just downright wrong.

It’s sad what’s happening to our country.

Do these people think we’re stupid?

I’m trying to understand this press statement but it just doesn’t add up.

The government says police acted on intelligence about alleged militia activity, foreign nationals, military training camps, high-grade weapons and preparations for an armed insurrection. Eleven people were reportedly apprehended and several charged.

Yet the statement specifically mentions that Brian Mundubile was also found at the scene.

So what exactly is his status?

Was he a suspect, witness, questioned and released, cleared of involvement, or is he still under investigation?

I’m not saying his presence automatically makes him guilty. But if the government considers the operation serious enough to publicly discuss alleged armed insurrection and weapons, why mention a presidential candidate by name without explaining his connection to the allegations?

The timing also matters, especially given Mundubile’s previous claims about an alleged attempt on his life and the wider controversy surrounding the election period. Coincidental or not it’s hard to look past that.

Maybe these events are completely unrelated. If so, shouldn’t the government clarify the chronology and connections instead of leaving the public to speculate?

Another question , why is the Secretary to the Cabinet giving such a detailed statement on an operation involving police and national security? Why not the relevant law enforcement or security institutions?

Like since nce when do we see the Secretary to the Cabinet communicating this level of detail about an alleged armed insurrection operation? Hmm.

My issue really isn’t whether Mundubile is guilty or innocent but then why are they ambiguous about all this??

If there is evidence linking him to an alleged armed insurrection, let the proper legal process deal with it. If there isn’t, why specifically place him in the same statement discussing weapons, militia activity and armed insurrection?

And if someone knowingly assisted or facilitated a crime, wouldn’t that potentially create criminal liability as an accomplice or accessory? So again, what exactly was Mundubile’s role?

What exactly are we supposed to understand from this?

The math isn’t mathing.

TL;DR: The government says the Kabulonga operation involved alleged militia activity, high-grade weapons and preparations for an armed insurrection, and several people were charged. Yet they specifically mention Brian Mundubile being at the scene without explaining whether he was a suspect, witness, or simply questioned and released. Given the timing and his previous claims about an alleged attack, why is the government being so vague? And why is the Secretary to the Cabinet making detailed statements about a police/security operation? What exactly are we supposed to take from this? It doesn’t add up.

First watch GoT S06E05: The most heartbreaking episode in the show, so sad

This is the first time a scene on this show has me tearing up. This was one of the best and touching storytelling moments on this show. Moments like this remind you why this show is regarded so highly.

Yara and Theon have escaped with all of the ships. Where will they go? Seems like they’ll head over to Meereen themselves to beat Euron in getting their plan to Daenerys first.

Daenerys learns about Jorahs condition and commands him not to leave her side. Was a bit touching.

Then we finally get to know Hodors origin story was truly the most heartbreaking stories on the show. How he died trying to save Brans life once again and how he became ‘Hodor’. He was never just a gentle giant who couldn’t speak. He was a boy whose mind was shattered by experiencing his own death across time. And he held that door with everything he had. Then the switch from hold the door to “Hodor”. So devastating

But must I say I’m quite confused cause if Bran is the reason that Hodor is that way then this should have happened before right?? Some sort of paradox Bran caused by going back perhaps?

Anyway, hope Bran will live up to the expectations of the three eyed raven.

The best episode since Season 4 for me. Really really well written.

First Watch GoT S06E04: She has so much aura damn

Back at the Night’s Watch, Sansa and Jon reunite. I actually thought they wouldn’t cross paths since Jon was about to leave. Ramsay personally calls Jon out and claims to have Rickon. Sansa’s growth is finally showing over the seasons as she delivers her speech and convinces Jon to take on the Boltons and rightfully reclaim their home. The eye contact between Tormund and Brienne was the funniest thing this episode lol, I was hoping something would spark between them. Anyway, the war to take back Winterfell is finally on!

Elsewhere, Tyrion negotiates a truce with the Masters at Slaver’s Bay. Theon and Yara finally reunite and Theon throws his support behind her claim to become heir of the Iron Born.

And finally, the deliverer of the most chilling ending scenes in the show. Daenerys Targaryen steals the show once again! At the start of this season I felt her plotline had hit a halt with not much action, but nevertheless, she delivered when it mattered. The calmness and the smiles throughout the scene, the way she confronts and assembles the Khals and demolishes them in style, and her speech was haunting. Unlike the other players in this game, she doesn’t scheme or politick, she just acts. Manages to gain the entire support of the Dothraki in one move. This scene comes close to “Valyrian is my mother tongue” as her best performances! All credit to Emilia Clarke, she always saves her best performance when it truly matters. What a talented actress!

That was the moment of the season and the best episode of the season so far. Everything seems to be building up well so far.

First watch GoT S05E10: Nah, I refuse to believe it. Why now?

First of all, The pacing in this episode was all over the place. Stannis’s death was handled so abruptly no proper buildup, a war that lasted all of seven minutes after everything they’ve built him up to be. For a character with that much history, it felt underwhelming and honestly a bit lazy.

But Jon Snow? No. I refuse to accept it. There is far too much unresolved around this him for that to be the end. Why did Ned Stark never tell him who his mother was? Why did the White Walker stare at him specifically at Hardhome? Why did they make him barely survive that battle? Why did Melisandre try to seduce him? Why did Maester Aemon tell him to “kill the boy”? There’s so much to his character that has been built up. I understand this show has taught us no one is safe, but this death felt pointless rather than purposeful. I don’t think the show will be the same without him. He surely has to comeback.

Cersei’s walk of shame was the standout moment of the episode for me. She utterly deserved all that’s happening to her. After all, she literally started all this mess in the show, none of all this happens if she doesn’t try to have Bran killed in the first season.

Overall, this has been the weakest season so far, not that it’s bad but it just hasn’t lived up to the heights of the first four. That said, the final three episodes at least returned to the standard I’d come to expect. I expect so much going into the season 6 as this ending has left so many cliffhangers… where are Sansa and Theon headed? How does Jaime return to King’s Landing without Myrcella? How will Cercei even handle that news? Will Arya remain blind? Has Daenerys been captured by the Dothraki? And what becomes of Cersei,Littlefinger, and everything still left unresolved? And also, Bran, hordo etc and their storyline of the three eyed raven, where have they been the whole season? Hope it delivers. Really looking forward to it.

First watch GoT S05E09: This came to me as a shock, I actually rated him

I know he was never truly a good man, but I at least saw Stannis as someone with morals and principles, a man who stood for something. But to burn his own daughter alive for what? power? What a disgrace.

Even though she was a minor character, Shireen was like the purest character on this show. She deserved so much better than the fate her own father condemned her to.

World Cup is finally here, looking for whatsapp groups to join in Zambia

With the World Cup starting today, I’m looking for football communities to join where we can discuss, analyze or rant and banter each other on football.

I’m a United fan and will be backing portugal in this edition. I’m very passionate about football and tired of having no one to react with during matches.

If there’s already a group running, you can drop a comment. Or if there isn’t one, I’m willing to start it. Any football nerds around here?

First watch GoT S04E10: Sleeping with your son’s girl is crazy lmao… Bro really hated him

This finale has been the most satisfying finale I’ve seen in this show so far.

Jon’s Snow hopes to negotiate terms with the wildlings leader. Stannis raids the scene. A great fight scene showcased between the hound and Briene. Brilliant episode.

I like how they didn’t make Arya fallen to stockhom syndrome. She still had the hate in her heart for all the terrible things the Hound did and let him die a slow painful death. You could see the all the emotions in the blunt stare as he begged for her to kill him. Fully deserved. Finally leaves as a lone wolf and begins her own life journey. Fitting ending.

Bran finally meets the three eyed raven tells him he can fly? Interesting.

Finally the fate I waited for. Jamie helps Tyrione escape and as he roams around finds Shae in the bed of his father haa! Killing her was very valid . Tywin finally dies at the hands of his own son!! Like he genuinely couldn’t believe his own son would do it. Well deserved. Wouldn’t have picked a better character to kill him.

This has been the best season (in my opinion ).Near perfect and gotten better with every episode , not a single bad episode. It’s had the best fight scenes and best acting displays.

A great episode to set up the next season. Wouldn’t have asked for more!

First watch GoT S04E08: You had the chance right there bruh … My Goodness, What a brutal battle!!

Didn’t expect it to be so graphic but was great fight regardless.

Sansa is finally getting some real character development, choosing to lie for Littlefinger. He feels like one of the most dangerous villains in the show precisely because his true intentions are impossible to read. Meanwhile Arya and the Hound finally reach the Vale only to find her aunt already dead. Arya’s hysterical laughter in that moment was so funny to me. It’s so tragic it becomes comic.

And finally, the main event! The Viper and The Mountain! I’ve Really liked Oberyen’s Character. Pedro Pascal was a good casting as he’s been the one of the most compelling characters of this season because his fight is personal. It’s easy to root for him. When he knocked the Mountain down, I was just as visibly excited as Jaime and Tyrion! I really expected that to be the moment man but oh shame. Sadly, pride got to him and he really needed a confession to be truly satisfied but it cost him everything. His focus wavered and what followed was brutal. He got his finally confession just not the way he imagined. Yikes! What a brutal sight! Devastating! Now Tyrion may now have to face the death sentence. Sigh..

Great episode!

First Time watch GoT S04E06: Best acting performance of the show!!

This was another great episode in what has been a consistently strong season. The casting of Tyrion was the best decision the directors of the show made. He’s been my favorite character since S1 and the only reasonable Lannister you can actually root for, well Jamie now too.

First Stannis gets the funding he wanted from the iron thron. Then Yara now tried to rescue Theon but realises how far gone and brainwashed Theon is now. He’s character has gone through so much suffering bro really deserves a break. Still Wonder how the sister and her crew managed to escape the hounds without a scratch.

The last 5 minutes of this episode was the best acting performance I’ve seen on the show. Peter Dinklage outburst and monologue was the best scene . The hatred and frustration in his face as he rightfully condemns the populace was amazing to see. And he rants about satisfaction he’d have gotten from killing Joffery. Cersie fully deserved that. I was so suprised Shae would falsely testify against him. I mean yeah he called her whore and all that but surely she could have understood that it was all just said to send her away right. And now that I think of it, wasn’t it confirmed that she left on the ship, how is she back? Anyway the only person seems to be left on Tyrions side is Jamie, whose character development has been really good too.

And then the final dramatic switch to all their faces when he demanded trial by combat, ah!! Such good drama. I was at the edge of my seat!

It keeps getting better and better!!

First watch GoT S04E02: Finally!!

Credit where it’s due, the actor who played him did an outstanding job. You know a performance is really good when the actor makes you hate and despise a character so much, especially playing such a complex character as a teenager.

And how poetic it is that he died at his own wedding. Aha!!

Surprised they’ve killed him this early though, I expected his death to be saved for a season finale or penultimate (based on this show’s culture). Nevertheless, that little rat had to go! Good riddance.

Whoever decided we should wait two whole weeks for episode 6 needs to be put in the box

First watch GoT S03E04: Omg holy peak! I underestimated her

Oh. My. Word. Peak! Peak! Peak! Episode of the season so far!

So many great moments in this episode. From Jaime finally accepting his reality, (sadly may no longer get to see his banter), the chaos of starvation at the nights watch and to the peak of this peak episode… Daenerys Stormborn the woman you are! I truly underestimated her so much and despised her for trading her dragons for the army but my word she left me stunned. And the most shocking part is when we learn she understands Valyrian so meaning she understood all the insults he threw at her the whole time. Then the slaver also realising the dragons are not something one can own and Dany further commanding all slavers to be killed and the dragon to burn the him. Emilia’s acting was solid throughout .

And yet for all her ruthlessness, she still showed humanity giving the Unsullied the choice to follow her freely rather than simply commanding them. That contrast is what makes her so compelling. Well written character.

What a twist! What an episode! What a show!! I’m in awe.
