First Cumberland County transitional home for survivors of domestic abuse set to break ground
Hope House of Cumberland Valley will dedicate the start of construction for the home “dedicated exclusively to survivors of domestic abuse” on Thursday with a ceremony at 101 G Street in Carlisle.
The transition home is set to be 13,000 square feet. Residents will be able to stay for up to two years while “participating in individualized, trauma-informed programs designed to help them heal, achieve financial independence, and prepare for permanent housing.” There will also be private family accommodations, children’s play areas, community gathering rooms, secure outdoor healing spaces and spaces for counseling and education.
“Leaving an abusive relationship is often only the beginning of a survivor’s journey,” Laurie Fitzgerald, Executive Director of Hope House of Cumberland Valley, said in a press release. “Without safe, affordable housing, too many women face impossible choices. Hope House will provide not only security, but the time, support, and hope needed to rebuild their lives.”

In 1985, a Colorado hairdresser began rescuing entire beaver families; she later relocated more than 1,000 to streams where their dams could help rebuild wetlands
"Sherri Tippie wasn't a biologist, and she wasn't an outdoor person either. Her part in that story started small. One day in 1985, she was watching the local evening news when a story came on about a beaver that was on a golf course in Aurora Colorado. The beaver had been chewing down trees, and wildlife officials were going to kill it. She couldn't accept that. She called around town until she found a new home for the beaver, despite never having handled a wild animal before."

Ozark Trails Flashlights (bad review)
Ozark Trail Rechargeable 1000 Lumen Tactical Flashlight Bright Durable Waterproof - Walmart.com
I have the above flashlight. I didn't use it much. I think I used one of them at work and it ran out of battery after an hour and 40 minutes.
There was a storm coming tonight so I charged the flashlight and then tonight I went to use it, and this flashlight was flashing on and off and the led indicator in the back was flashing. Then it turned off by itself.
I took it inside and plugged it into a USB-C charger and it is bright when it is on the power cord but the indicator light in the back was still flashing and I could not turn the flashlight off which is a big sign to me that something is wrong.
I might have gotten a bad unit and maybe something happened to it but because the flashlight did break, I don't want to buy these flashlights anymore or recommend them for anyone. I just saw it as a cheap alternative so I wouldn't have to pay a lot for a more expensive flashlight.
I would not recommend this flashlight for cave exploration specially if you are going into narrow tunnels or anywhere in the dark that you need to find your way out of after how this flashlight behaved tonight.
I didn't keep the receipt, and I know it is over 90 days old, and it is probably over a year old. Google says it has a limited warranty that does not cover the battery. The battery is not replaceable anyway and I don't see Walmart as being willing to give me any kind of credit so I'm giving up on some of their flashlights.
When this happens, I can't depend on this flashlight at all so I can't depend on it for safety related missions. This is why you should have a second or third flashlight and one with quality and also replaceable parts.
This is a PSA to reconfirm to you what I am experiencing. I bought one at first and thought it was a great light and now I've reconsidered how I feel. And the reality is I can't remember the last time a flashlight did this to me which means this is really bad.

The King’s Game - Enjoying the Journey
The soldiers dressed Him in a purple robe to ridicule Him. They gave Him a crown of thorns to wear, and they bowed before Him in laughing disbelief. Yet, soon He will return to Jerusalem as earth’s eternal King. One day soon, every knee will bow before Him, including those who stripped Him and beat Him. Christian, in your season of distress, or even of persecution, remember that we serve a King greater than Pontius Pilate, the Roman emperors, or any ruler today. His story did not end in the underground dungeons of Jerusalem, or even on His cross, but He is alive and ruling today! If you have not accepted Jesus as your Savior, please do so before it is too late.
