I need help identifying heater core return host component.
1990 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat, 7.5L (460 CID) V8, EFI, VIN G, 2-Valve
While removing the heater core, I discovered that both the heater supply and return hoses are extremely brittle and essentially fused to the heater core tubes. Rather than trying to save them, I'd like to replace both hoses while everything is apart.
The issue I'm running into is identifying the heater return hose assembly. It has a molded/plastic tee with a smaller coolant hose that runs back to the radiator filler neck. My understanding is that this is part of the cooling system's bleed/deaeration circuit, since there is already a separate overflow hose running from the radiator neck to the coolant recovery reservoir.
Does anyone know:
- The correct Ford or Motorcraft part number for this hose assembly?
- If it's discontinued, is there a quality aftermarket replacement?
- Or is the best option to build a new hose assembly using a replacement tee fitting?
Any help or part numbers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
