Someone over on another subreddit told me you guys might appreciate my knight riding a giant snail pendant, inspired by medieval marginalia πβοΈ
Some of you might remember the Medieval Marginalia band ring I posted a little while back. Well...I couldn't stop there.
I had so much fun making it that I ended up carving a whole collection of Medieval Marginalia pendants that I really want to share here
In order of appearance:
β’ Knight Riding a Giant Snail into Battle πβοΈ
β’ Regal Cat King π±π
β’ Fish Playing a Lute (was meant to be a lute at least, looks more like a banjo to me now!) ππͺ
β’ Warrior Rabbit Wielding a Sword π°π‘οΈ
Each one was hand carved in wax and cast in solid sterling silver using the lost wax casting process.
I come from a fine jewelry background, and most of what my family has produced over the years has been traditional, classical jewelry. It's been a lot of fun stepping away from that and creating things that are a little more whimsical.

Iβm a jeweler and Iβm really into ancient history. Egypt is easily one of my favorite sources of inspiration. Thereβs just so much to work with.
So far Iβve made pieces inspired by the Eye of Horus, Eye of Ra, Medjed, scarab beetles, evil eye talismans, Hathor, the Djed pillar, hieroglyphs, the ankh, and Ramses II.
Now Iβm trying to figure out what to make next. Are there any Egyptian symbols, gods, artifacts, or motifs you think are underrated or wish more people knew about? When I first discovered Medjed, I went down such a rabbit hole and he has remained my favorite thing to come out of Ancient Egypt, so Iβd love to find my next Medjed!
