Speak Your Truth: There is a legislative push to bring 47.1 to New York.

There is a legislative push to bring 47.1, otherwise known as the Speak Your Truth law, to New York. The law has come to our attention through a recent ‘Hollywood‘ legal drama.

I’m seeing an increasing number of Reddit posts calling for the public to request changes to this potentially life-changing law. I’m also seeing an increasing number of Reddit posts asking the public to reach out to sponsors, committee chairs and members to object to the Speak Your Truth law.

In my view, it’s not OK that us Redditors are being inundated with posts from those opposing the new law. Personally, I support the Speak Your Truth Law.

Please take the opportunity to educate yourselves and find out what you can do to support other people speaking their truth.

Town Hall Tuesday

In the interests of Reddit users, it has been suggested that a regular meeting place would help us be kinder to each other and have the conversations that some of us want to have.

The idea only works if it’s genuinely a safe space. We know what the rules are on this sub and the rules are not negotiable.

I’m hoping to create a safe space for the conversations so many of us want to have but can’t when we’re harassed, or bullied or reported.

I think we can find that space here…

I think they’re are a lot of people who would like to find that space here.

Share your thoughts if you feel comfortable.
