On my was down a long trail to the beach. This is the kind of beach where taking pictures is sort of discouraged.

I don't want the bigger, more popular details. I want to know when you're in traffic, what annoying music blares from people's cars. What is the culture like? Norms that don't apply anywhere else. Slang? Things everybody seems to like? On the East Coast myself, I can answer all these questions for my environment, but my story takes place in Sacramento, where the world is so different.
I need little things. Tidbits.
Thanks in advance!
One of the nice things about Northern California is you can see where some of your food comes from even if you don’t know the farmer by name.
Moved within NorCal (Bay Area) recently and have been trying to get set up with a primary care doctor. I manage a chronic condition so I really need someone consistent, not just urgent care every time.
Every place I call is either full or booking months out. Curious how people here actually landed theirs, because I'm running out of ideas.
🚨 PLEASE HELP US FIND CLOUD OR FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM 🚨
Our family is absolutely heartbroken, and we are desperately asking for our community’s help.
Our beloved dog, Cloud, has been missing since the morning of Thursday, June 25, 2026, and we still don’t know what happened to him.
Cloud is a 4-year-old white Maltipoo. He is microchipped, he is a cryptorchid dog which means he has one testicle that descended and the other is in his abdomen. He was supposed to have cryptorchid neutering surgery on July 3 but he is missing. He was last seen wearing a blue harness and a cone (Elizabethan collar) while recovering. He is incredibly friendly, loves people, and would most likely approach someone if they called him.
At this point, we don’t know whether Cloud wandered away from our neighborhood on Gazania Terrace, whether someone picked him up thinking he was lost, or whether he may have been the dog involved in a hit-and-run later that morning. We are trying to investigate every possibility because we simply don’t know what happened, and the uncertainty has been devastating.
Timeline
• Around 9:00am workers from Attic Pros were at our home cleaning our attic.
• Around 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 25, my mom fed Cloud at our home on Gazania Terrace in Fremont. This is the last confirmed time anyone saw him.
• Shortly afterward, my mom left for Costco to pick up supplies for me because I had surgery on June 24 and have been recovering at home.
•While driving home from Costco, my mom came across the aftermath of a hit-and-run involving a dog along Mission Blvd., between Walnut Ave. and Stevenson Blvd., on the east (right) side of the roadway.
She saw an older man wrapping the dog in a plastic bag. She did not see what the dog looked like. He told her the dog had been hit by a car and that he planned to bury the dog in his backyard.
At that moment, my mom had no idea Cloud was missing, so she wasn’t able to ask more questions, get his information, or confirm whether the dog was Cloud.
Since then, we have been living with the heartbreaking uncertainty of not knowing whether that dog was Cloud or whether he is still out there somewhere waiting to be found.
We have searched tirelessly, contacted local shelters, veterinarians, Fremont Animal Services, and even followed up with the Fremont Police Department. Unfortunately, because the accident was never officially reported, there has been very little information available.
We urgently need your help.
If you live near Gazania Terrace, Mission Blvd that connects with Walnut Ave and Stevenson Blvd., or anywhere in between, would you please check your Ring cameras, security cameras, doorbell cameras, dashcams, or business surveillance footage from Thursday, June 25, between approximately 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM?
Even footage that seems unrelated could make all the difference.
Please look for: • Cloud leaving or walking through the Gazania Terrace neighborhood. • Anyone picking up or interacting with a small white Maltipoo wearing a blue harness and cone. • A small white dog running near Stevenson Blvd., Walnut Ave., or Mission Blvd. • The hit-and-run itself. • A vehicle stopping after the accident. • The older man who put the dead dog in a plastic bag to move it and bury it. • Any unusual activity involving a small white dog that morning.
If you were driving in that area, have dashcam footage, witnessed the accident, know someone who did, or have security cameras that may have captured anything, please contact me immediately.
Even the smallest detail—something that may seem insignificant—could finally give us the answers we’ve been desperately searching for.
Cloud is more than a pet. He is a cherished member of our family, and not knowing what happened to him has been one of the most painful experiences we’ve ever gone through.
If Cloud is still out there, we want nothing more than to bring him safely home. If the dog involved in the accident was Cloud, we simply want the truth so we can bring him home and have closure.
Please help us by checking your cameras, sharing this post, and keeping an eye out.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read this and for helping our family in any way you can. ❤️
More money was added in for his reward to be safely returned to us in hand in a public area or police station and we have to verify microchip id. He is chipped and I want to be 100% sure I get my baby back.

If anyone knows about, seen, or heard about the hit and run accident that involved a dog that was killed on June 25, 2026 in Fremont, CA on the right side of Mission Boulevard between Walnut Avenue and Stevenson Boulevard. Please please let me know I need to confirm Cloud wasn't hit and killed. 😢💔 I have no idea and wasn't able to see the dog to confirm, it was taken by a man that said he will bury the dog. I need to know if that was my baby.

A Most Tragic Tale from the Kingdom of Grocery
Hear ye, hear ye!
Gather round the bulk bins and the mighty cardboard baler, and listen well to the tale of…
Ashy McLostYourNote, First of His Name
Keeper of Mixed Signals, Lord of Cryptic Rizz, Loser of Maiden Numbers Not Once, But TWICE.
🎺🎺🎺
In the fluorescent kingdom there lived a man of many talents.
He could drive the mighty forklift.
He could care for four cats.
He could raise a daughter.
He could survive military service.
Yet there existed one challenge that defeated him utterly…
THE MAIDEN’S NUMBER.
The fair maiden offered unto him her sacred parchment of communication.
And lo!
The number was lost.
The villagers proclaimed:
“A simple mistake! Surely our brave knight shall recover!”
BUT NAY.
For the Ashen One returned and declared:
“Then give it unto me again!”
The kingdom rejoiced!
At last, redemption!
At last, progress!
Yet when the sacred number was once more presented unto him…
HE FUMBLED THE BAG A SECOND TIME.
🍅🍅🍅
The villagers cried:
“TAKE THE DAMN NUMBER, YOU FOOL!”
But Ashy McLostYourNote merely stared into the middle distance and spoke in riddles:
“I have much going on…”
“My dog is dying…”
“Do you still hate me?”
The scholars of Produce remain baffled to this very day.
We live where we need a cell extender to get service. This used to be reliable with US Cellular. Although we mostly use WiFi calling/texting. Now that US Cellular has switched to T-Mobile neither ways of connection are working. Zero bars with the cell extender and turning on WiFi calling isn’t working. They say we need an appointment at a T-Mobile store but I can’t go to FB or Ukiah this week. So many others probably in similar situation. I’m not sure if I can even call 911, I don’t want to test it. I’ll keep trying to reset my phone from home…. But Urgh!!
T-Mobile has really messed up this transfer. And put customers in rural areas at risk, not being able to use our phones.
Back in the 1960-70s I was an avid backpacker, rock climber, desert rat, and enjoyed all things outdoorsy. I sought and found a great deal of solitude, including solo hikes and small group technical climbs, but hated crowds. I was even happy with the relative lack of crowds outside of the valley in Yosemite, and hiked up the Mist Trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls, and would never come across more than a half dozen people in the entire round trip.
Sadly, those days appear to be lost forever. He's a recent image of the Mist Trail.
Looks like California is finally paying attention to a problem that many have complained about for years:
For years, California has been plagued by no-shows and late cancellations at state park campgrounds amid both a rising demand for campsites and limited penalties for those who don’t cancel their reservations in a timely manner. That’s set to change starting July 1 when new reservation policies take effect, which include steeper financial penalties and a one-year ban on campground reservations for repeat offenders who routinely no-show on sites.

Hi! we’re coming into San Francisco in July around 4 PM and staying at an Airbnb near the fisherman‘s wharf. So we are planning on visiting pier and possibly going to North Beach for dinner. Then for our one day in San Francisco we were thinking about a cable car ride, Chinatown and a stroll through Haight Ashbury (we are Dead Heads!). Does this seem like a good day and should we delete and or add something else? Thank you.
