Just finished rewatching the series and I have to say that the conclusion to Bret Stiles' story was such a letdown.  >!Even without being Red John!<, he served as one of the most compelling antagonists to Patrick Jane throughout the series. Two highly intelligent, manipulative, larger-than-life personalities constantly circling and attempting to outdo each other. That kind of dynamic deserved a proper, satisfying conclusion, not the one we got.

DDP beats Strickland >> Chimaev beats DDP >> Strickland beats Chimaev

Repeat.

Reasons why I’ve ghosted people:

1. I felt like they were pressuring, gaslighting, or attempting to manipulate me.
2. ⁠I found out that they betrayed my trust. I silently forgave them, but wanted nothing more to do with them.
3. ⁠I noticed that they were envious of my success or just didn’t wish me well. That kind of energy freaks me out since I always want people to win.
4. ⁠They hurt me and I realised that engaging with them and trying to explain why what they did was wrong wouldn’t lead anywhere (due to their stubbornness or unwillingness to change), so I decided to cut them off.
5. ⁠They tried to dim my light through subtle put-downs, backhanded compliments, and by undermining my confidence. I noticed and quietly removed them from my space.
6. ⁠I noticed they only showed up when they needed something, and I hate feeling used.
7. ⁠They were fake and inauthenticity unsettles me, so once I sensed the mask, I lost interest entirely. 
8. ⁠They were flaky and inconsistent.
9. ⁠They were overly materialistic and shallow.
10. ⁠Their energy/vibe “felt-off”, and even though I couldn’t explain it, I distanced myself from them to protect my energy.

I could keep going, but these are essentially the main reasons why I’ve suddenly distanced myself from people. Has anyone else done the same for similar reasons?

Who would’ve won this fight? My money’s on drunk Sheldon.
