Britain is finished

Can Britain recover, or is it already too late for meaningful national renewal? Peter Hitchens delivers a characteristically uncompromising verdict on Britain, faith and the future on Unbelievable - The Interview with Luke Martin. From free speech and Islam to marriage, education, justice and the power of the state, this is a provocative, deeply personal interview with one of Britain’s most controversial commentators. Hitchens argues that Britain is “post-revolutionary” and nearing catastrophe, tracing its decline through weakened families, collapsing institutions, cultural amnesia and the loss of Christian conscience.

Mamdani's socialist policies failing in NYC

Zohran Mamdani's proposal to impose a new surcharge on certain New York property owners expanded far beyond the $5 million homes initially discussed, with notices sent to nearly one million homeowners whose properties are valued at more than $1 million.

The policy has sparked criticism over its burden on longtime homeowners, retirees, and families whose homes have appreciated in value despite modest incomes.

The proposal is presented as part of a broader effort to redistribute wealth, generate new tax revenue, and pressure property owners to sell. It also raises concerns about due process, government overreach, and the unintended consequences of publicly identifying homes believed to be vacant, including increased risks of squatting and burglary.

Jordan views were shaped extensively by Jung

Jung is very challenging to understand in undigested (Jordan) form. The video attached provided an easy to follow summary of Jung's work and beliefs.

Murray Stein, Ph.D. is a training analyst at the International School for Analytical Psychology in Zurich, Switzerland and is the focus of many Asheville Jung Center online seminars.

Jung’s Map of the Soul – Deeper Explorations is both a basic introduction to Carl Jung’s psychological theories and a venture into looking more deeply into his genius as this is expressed in his Collected Works, his recently published letters and seminars, his Red Book: Liber Novus and his “autobiography,” Memories, Dreams, Reflections.

Have diagnostic criteria become broader and/or better understood

Many decades ago, stoicism was prevalent, shortcomings/weakness something that was hidden at all costs and social welfare near non existent.

It makes me wonder how many people went undiagnosed back then relative to current criteria and social norms and how many people had no alternative but to push through.

What Everyone Gets Wrong About Israel-Palestine

Oren Kessler is a historian and journalist who spent five years researching the Arab Revolt of 1936–39—one of the most consequential and least understood episodes in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His book Palestine 1936 tells the story of the three-way struggle between Arabs, Jews, and the British that set the template for nearly everything that came after. In this episode, Kessler and Coleman dig in to who actually introduced terrorism to the region, why Palestinian violence worked in the short term and backfired catastrophically in the long term, what the revolt reveals about the murky origins of Palestinian nationalism, and the role of the Grand Mufti in radicalizing Palestinian politics in ways that still echo today.
