How should i have reacted?

Today i was asking a colleague about something and then she suddenly mentioned that she was called in by management because they were worried if she would be okay attending evening courses of post-graduate programs and if she was sure she wanted to take them because she recently got diagnosed with breast cancer and they're worried about her health.

This was the first time I heard of this, I already knew she was sick because she cut back on hours but I was so shocked I didn't know how to react or what to say.

And we just continued talking about that program without staying on the disease point. I didn't wanna pry into private matters so I didn't say anything about it.

But I really felt insensitive right after we just glossed over it and continued talking about the program.

I don't know, should I have said get well? I still feel bad about it, I've never been the best with expressing my emotions. I feel heartless because of this.

Saxo bank or MeDirect for ETF's?

I was first considering bolero because of the comfort and safety but the costs are quite high compared to saxo and MeDirect.

Can't decide which one to use for etf's but also for in the future to buy stocks.

What if your partner isn't really childfree or not anymore

I've been wondering about this: let's say you find your childfree spouse, everything goes well. You're both happy but suddenly a couple of years in and your partner wants kids.

What then? Obviously it's that person's right but you still agreed to be childfree in good faith.

So you'd basically have to compromise or you'd lose everything you built/had together?

Honestly that's something that makes me nervous, you can do all the vetting you want but you still can't predict the future.

Personally, I don't know how i'd handle it if my future wife suddenly wants children, something we agreed on before marriage to not have. It's kinda scary how you'd lose "everything" with that person.

And then have to start looking again for CF partner, which is already difficult.

How would you deal with it? You can have the most sincere intentions and do everything in good faith but you never know what the future has in hands.

Or just tawakul and place all your trust in Allah?

Quitting or getting fired

Just saw somebody talking about getting fired and this made me think how i should handle quitting or getting fired.

Just started my first full time job after getting my degree and would like to know how the getting fired or quitting process goes. What to look out for, what is very important, what to never do, what you should do,....

I'd like to atleast be somewhat prepared and set up an exit plan so if it is ever needed, i'll be more at ease

Possible to buy a house in Belgium in a halal way?

I was wondering if there are any shariah complain institutions in Belgium that give you the ability to buy a house. I know there are some in the UK but none here in Belgium.

With current house prices i doubt i'll ever be able to pay any house in cash.

Is finding a childfree spouse difficult?

I (22M) will finish college this month and start working full time soon and i've also thought about marriage and things linked to it like kids.

But personally I don't want kids, I doubt i'd be a good father and add to it how dangerous the world has become not only the real world but also digital one. Just thinking about these things makes me anxious and I would never want any harm to be done to my kids or others.

I know I should have tawakul but I honestly just find it difficult when it comes to this.

So how likely is it that i find a potential who also wants to be childfree in Belgium or atleast in EU?

Please don't remove this
