I have a confession. I used to not be a huge fan of Bully breeds. Then I started working at a Boarding/rescue place, and everything changed...

It's not that I disliked them, I guess they just intimidated me a little. Mr. Burly came from the pound on the euthanasia list, and is currently being fostered. He growled at me the first time I met him, but now I get greeted with kisses, tail wags and slobber. He walks politely on a leash, and has picked up on clicker training super fast.

I absolutely. love him so much. I wish people would give them a chance. I'm hoping he gets his forever home ASAP!

Papa's foster took him back to the shelter, and he needs a home.

Please someone go get him. This is truly an amazing dog!! He picked up clicker training in just a day. I think he has until Thursday to find a home.

I donated Double Reds for the first time on Sunday...

I've donated Whole blood many times but since I'm O+ and CM. - they asked if I would be interested in doing a double red donation.

Needles don't bother me at all, but for some reason, the day after I donate blood, I usually feel pretty crummy, so I just plan on laying low that day.

I had heard that oftentimes, donating double reds is a bit easier since they give you back the plasma, platelets and IV fluids.

The process was super easy, and in all honesty, that day I probably over did it. I work at a dog rescue, and I did a 4 hour shift there, after I came home. Then the next day I mowed the grass. I also have horses to feed and care for.

I've been more tired, but the biggest issue is that I am incredibly out of breath any time I try and do anything.

It's now Wednesday, and I'm doing better - and started taking Iron yesterday - and drinking lots of water and electrolytes, but I can't believe how much this has affected me.

I'd love to be able to do this again - I think October is the first time I can - but is there anything I can do to make recovery go faster?

My horse pasture is a mud pit. It seems we are either in a drought, or we are flooding. Anyone else?

I'm over it, and so are my horses.

What are your "Can't hurt, might help?" things that you do for your horse?

In the horse world, there things that are proven to help, and there are things that "Can't hurt, might help".

For me, my working mares get MSM. .They all - I have horses, a mini and donkeys - get Remission. Both of these things have ingredients that are shown to help, and they are cheap enough that even if they help just a little bit, it's worth it.

What about y'all? (And this can be anything - tack, grooming products, etc)
