Thief is a stealth horror series. I was surprised when I played Thief because I expected a stealth game with tactical action mood and atmosphere. But when I played it, there were so many disturbing, horror, and creepy elements in it, with the occult and secret cult organizations.

The atmosphere is so spooky, with disturbing elements in the lore, and the whole environments are so uncanny and strange, with a creepy feeling to it!

Why is Arabization considered a negative cultural replacement, whereas Turkicization, Indo-Europeanization, and Latinization are not?

I think it's pure hypocrisy and Arabophobia. Why is one process labeled as forced destruction, while the others are framed as natural cultural adoption?

I think the main problem of modern Batman writers (except Ram V) have a problem which is a want to make a impact on Batman instead of just wanting to write a good Batman story/run

Most of it feel like trying so much to make a footprint on Batman like "yEaH i dID tHiS and ThIs and tHis and aLso i fucKed alOt of tHe lOre jUst to sHake up tHe whOle Bat verse aNd lore caUse i wAnt Batman tO be fUlly imPacted bY mE" like that what the work of Snyder, T*om Ki*ing, Tynion, Tamaki. Taylor, Zdarsky feel hell even Fraction sometimes

The horrible exemble i can think of is when Taylor made Batman consume a de-aging product made by children blood or made a kid getting killed cause he was a jerk to him and literraly punched him, sleeping with a supposed Joe Chill daugter?

Yeah like just trying so much that the problem with majority of modern writers

They think they are doing good but no they don't.

Why people recommand/say Batman Year One to start with Batman in general or that it one of the best Batman story? When it isn't due to the fact that Bruce is so much of a side gimmick in the story every elements in that story is linked to Jim Gordon not Bruce

Like we should talk about this this isn't normal most of the story for Batman origins is simply so simplistic and kinda rushed while completely erasing the Finger/Pre Crisis elements where is Joe Chill? Why he isn't the villain? Where is Moxon? Where is Philip, Harris, ect i understand it's a reboot but you can't erase everything like that you have to reinvent them, by doing so you make Bruce a gimmicky/less of a person with struggles, life, ect and more of a gimmick/force of a power fantasy where he is static and where he has less of humanity he just is there that it's, he became Batman cause his parents got killed which i hate cause in Pre Crisis Bruce became Batman cause he realized that the system/institutions are bad and corrupted and injust after his parents got killed he tried to help and save peoples in a normal and legal way but he realized that he can't cause the system/institutions are injust and biased so he became Batman and a vigilante not because "my parents got mudered" Bruce's crusade was never egoistic or personnal for revenge he did it for the world and humanity cause the system is bad. Also where is Joe Chill? Moxon? They should be the villains, not new nobodies who are mostly Jim Gordon villains btw! And where is the exploration of the Waynes? Thomas who shaped Bruce and made him learn of the value of life and saving people, who weared the first Bat costume and literraly stopped Moxon and his gang which killed him by doing so? Bruce struggles? Bruce wanting to be a doctor? Ect

Like there is alot of things, ALOOOOOOT that Year One erase to dehumanize Bruce and that's crazy

All the horrible takes that Batman is just a egoistic insane power fantasy who do this because his parents got killed came from this book cause it completely fucked the origins of Bruce and WHY he became Batman! Also 0 exploration on how Bruce and Harvey are friends like it just throwed like that like crazy

Catwoman have humanism, feel more like a person, have struggles ect and show why she became Catwoman cause she want to help people through her way by stealing the rich ect and wanting to protect her young friend and she HAS LESS MOMENTS BTW compared to Bruce

OH BOY JIM GORDON there is no a single way to deny that he is indeed the focus and the main character and telled through his POV

The story explore his struggles, why he came in Gotham, why he hate his job, his complexity, like you relate more to Gordon and Selina than to Bruce! But more to Gordon he do big mistakes, and like the villains of the story are after him cause he represent a danger to their power every elements is connected to him, even the end and the finale showdown is linked to him, Bruce just do the job and go and the story conclude with him

Like seriously why call this Batman? It a great story, great Jim Gordon and Gotham story, good introduction to Catwoman but bad introduction to Bruce but it is a bad Batman story like why call it Batman why call it Batman Year One like that doesn't make sense

Nothing about it is linked to Batman, Batman is just a side character, hell he is a shadowy/hided character you feel nothing about him except hype and aura moments

That just sad and a huge frustration as a Batman fan

That why Shaman, The Untold Legend of Batman, Man Who Falls, are far better than Year One!

"Batman Year One" more Gotham Year One or Jim Gordon Year One!

Question but in Detective Comics #38 is it Dick who came up with the name of Robin and design of suit or it's Bruce who came up with name of Robin and suit?

Why some people are against the idea that Bruce is the first Robin? And want it to be a Dick's thing? While wanting him to be Nightwing definitively and out of the Robin identity? Doesn't make sense you can't have both cakes (I'm a Dick Grayson Robin fan but this is for mostly Nightwing/Titans fans)

You can't say it's important to Dick's while wanting him to be Nightwing it like saying Batman is important to Bruce but let's make him Starman and make him grow out of the Batman identity they did it in a story ironically in Pre Crisis and get treated like a bad thing weirdly Dick didn't change in that story he is still Robin cause it his identity but like i said than if you defend Robin as a identity to Dick that came from him than he should not be definitely Nightwing and should get treated like a bad thing/weird crisis that he should grow out of it and go back to his real roots and identity if not and you prefer what Wolfman did which impacted alot of Dick Grayson Robin and Bat lore and the approch of Bat familly and Robin as a just title rather than a identity than there is no reasons that Robin identity should be a Dick's thing and his identity, again not defending the Robin came from Bruce approch it's not from Bill Finger but from Hamilton (like Wolfman things and takes/direction not coming from the creator Bill Finger's blueprint and cores), Finger 100% created Robin to be the definitive identity of Dick, Bill Finger also esthablihed him as a equal partner to Batman (yet some people ignore this cause they are pro Wolfman approch/direction and believe Robin is a sidekick title which again goes against what the creator of Dick wanted and esthablished yet they make critics on Hamilton approch?! Which is big hypocrisy and ironically the Wolfman work/approch/direction is also more align to Hamilton work since it esthablish that Robin was never a Dick's thing and just a sidekick title that Bruce gained which mean more Robins can exist which is what Wolfman want to push his Nightwing agenda for Dick). Bill Finger even wrote a story where Dick became a adult grown man as still Robin and where Bruce became a child as still Batman which literraly show that their creators esthablished that no matters their age Bruce will always be Batman and Dick always be Robin that like their respective identities by their creators, than so my point is that you can't have both cakes Dick can be Robin again like Robin with a nickname attached to it like Redbreast Robin for exemple (Again either you want Dick to be Nightwing and out of Robin identity definitively than there is no point for Robin to be a Dick's thing which mean that Robin came from Bruce or you want Robin to be a Dick's thing and a core part of Dick than he should have the Robin name in him with a new nickname attached to it)

Bat familly should just be Bruce, Dick, Babs, Alfred, Ace imo every other additions is not valuable and unnessasary, same with 5 Robins, it should be just 1

Bat familly should be self contain and not look like a super hero team

5 members is enough

And the essentials are Bruce, Dick, Babs, Alfred, Ace

Big extanded bat familly create problems and make the whole thing less special with not consistant identity

That why the Batman 2004, Batman The Brave and The Bold, Adam West Batman are peak cause they understand this

Jason and Tim are just the result of Dick being highjacked from the Titans by Wolfman so they needed a partner someone along side Batman so they created Jason people hated him cause how he isn't Dick and how his inclusion is forced which created drama for the sake of it between Bruce and Dick

Same with Tim due to backlash not because Jason died but because the concept of a partner along side Batman died so they created Tim cause again Dick is highjacked by Wolfman with his Titans franchise so he said no and gived a new again dude which created retcons ect and than it lunched a trend where everyone can come to Batman sphere

Stephanie, Cass, Asreal, Damian, Duke, Batwing, ect ect

It lunched the trend also of Batman always recruting childrens and the memes along the way which is annoying but also the whole bat team trend of like multiple members along side him annoying

All this due to Wolfman he is the cause due to how he highjacked Dick and since than it all bullshit

Batman New Look era is so much underrated more than the Batman Bronze Age era!

Alot of good stories and creative ones with peak Batsuit design blue and gray with the oval yellow where Batman is a super detective and solving big mysteries!

Night of the Stalker is so overlooked

This story is amazing and just perfect at exploring Bruce and his anger and what he truly hate

It a essential story for understanding Bruce's mind

Question but why most of top 20 Batman stories are the most generic?

Always Year One, Killing Joke, Knightfall, Hush. Under The Red Hood, Dark Victory, TDKR ect

Like Batman has more than this

To the point where i find most of these stories overrated except Year One and TDKR

Marvel need better editors asap

The reason why Marvel isn't competant as they were is simply because editors sucks

Marvel will never get great or good if Nick Lowe, Celbulski are still there, ah and the new guy disney music guy who will be in charge of the collected editions who has 0 experience in Comics or Marvel, don't be surprised if the collected editions are not so well puted and the prices are so high for epics with less diversity in term of collected editions where the omnis and epics go out of prints so easy and where the omnis that we want to get reprinted are not reprinted at ALL the future will be so catastrophic

People need to understand this editors are so important they decide everything they are the higher ups

No matters how you make critics nothing will change if you keep supporting them throught buying their stories and their mediocre collected editions

Like i'm tired of their bs this is awareness btw

Batman don't really have strict no kill rule he just prefer to not kill cause of his father teachings and his dream of becoming a doctor like his father that never happened due to well... the Wayne murder

For exemple in Pre Crisis he chosed to not save some of his ennemies and let them die like Ra's, Hugo, Mad Monk, ect

Also in the TDKR he do the same with Joker and literraly used explosive on the cops that chased him or in Morrison run where like he wanted Chill to end his life and like gived a pistol to shoot himself, or like when Jason got killed he wanted to kill Joker and like he let Joker die in the helecopter crash not caring

Like Batman never had strict no kill rule that a more DCAU and Arkham games invention and other adaptations

Like in Adam West show he literraly let die some of his ennemies

Like even did a russian roulete game with crook or the fact that in Ego it reveal that some parts of Bruce want to kill criminals but his other side due to his father teachings like it a conflict

Like i said he just prefer to not kill but like you push him enough he will try to end you in some ways without even killing you with his own hands
