counter to stealth

if you see someone going for stealth (lvl5 airbase), what unit would you go if so far you only have: lvl3 ASF, lvl3 (soon 4) MAA, lvl1 towed art (only researched), ng, asf veteran and EAA

because if i'm not wrong its mostly a SAM or radar that could detect it, both at a high lvl and it's day 14 and he started building a lvl5 airbase right now and based on the news i think it'll be stealth strikers. any tips? ive never played stealth so idk how to counter them either, i think my MAA would make the trade not worth it for him but i don't have many either (and im on my way sending them to my ally but because its quite far and not airliftable its looking bad so far)

question/bug

sometimes i try to transport my units by airfield and it starts boarding til at some random point of time it goes back to deploying (from the airfield it was originally at), never entering a transport plane. i think it's a bug but just in case it's not i wonder what i'm doing wrong because it's annoying.

for context it happened just now (NZ capital to AUS capital) both 10/10 hp airfields but it happens in other games too where cities are extremely close like belarus (so it cant be the distance), anyone knows why or what i can do to fix it? i play on browser pc if that matters

research combos

what are your go-to research combinations that are strong? i know the meta is mrls with SAM and MAA etc but what else is out there especially when it comes to beating golders (like if it's not an extreme golder, mrls is always my go-to) i'm tired of going the same exact thing considering every game i've faced a golder or multiaccounter lately. i've tried going missiles (ASF with cruise and elite bombers with ballistic) and it didn't seem worth it and easily countered by the enemy. the air assault (tank destroyer etc) seems fun but i've never seen anyone play it and it seems too easy to shoot out of the air by SAms or ASF by the enemy but i've been wanting to try it

question about missiles

i'm using them seriously for the first time and was wondering a few things since i've failed on my current games. right now i only have guided missile program, ballistic missile (lvl1) and cruise missiles lvl1 and i was thinking of upgrading the cruise missiles as they seemed like the best usecase, ballistic is very fun to use but with the amount of warheads i'm producing i can at most throw in 3-4 which wont destroy a lvl3 airfield etc.

a lvl4 cruise missile gets double the hp which seems quite good especialyl against naval units since everyone is using officers lately and my cruise missiles pretty much do no dmg or almost no damage right now, is it worth going for cruise missiles or upgrading ballistic since it already has far more hp but it does cost twice as much in warheads?

and is there an exact timeframe as to how AA should be baited so my next one hits if the defensive dmg of the units aren't bigger than my missilehp? i try to go for 3-4 minutes in 4x but maybe its been luck the two times ive done it and i'm always so unsure of it. i'm not even sure if it's worth still going for missiles since i'm outnavied with 3 cities that can be hit by navy, all my elite subs died and they keep bombing my naval city once they wake up to deny me it but they lose on land. i'm scared to go into their homeland by land because my landunits (mrls) are the only thing keeping them from bombing my other cities by navy, just that one i can't protect because my mrls also need to heal at some point. any advice?

Advice for starterkit EPS32

Probably a commonly asked question but: i'm thinking of buying a starterkit and i'm wondering if its enough so that i don't have to buy seperate stuff etc. for each little thing. as of now i mainly want to build simple things like a temperature gauge etc. which i tried with things i already have home. but i failed miserably and everything points to buying an arduino or ESP32 so i started looking. so far i think this one is the best (so i dont have to wait 2+ weeks from aliexpress etc.): LAFVIN Basic Starter Kit for ESP32 ESP-WROOM-32 WiFi IOT Development Board with Tutorial Compatible with Arduino IDE

it contains:

1 x ESP32 development board.
1 x 0.96 inch OLED.
1 x 830 Tie-Pointes Breadboard.
1 x Obstacle Avoidance module.
1 x photesensitive resistor module.
1 x DHT11 temperature and humidity module.
1 x HC-SR501 PIR motion sensor.
1 x potentiometer (10 K).
1 x micro USB cable.
30 x resistors (220R/1K/10K).
1 x passive buzzer.
1 x active buzzer.
1 x 5 V 2-channel relay module.
6 x button switches.
10 x F-M Dupont cable.
10 x F-F Dupont cable.
10 x M-M Dupont cable.
5 x LED red.
5 x LED yellow.
5 x LED green.
2 x RGB LED.

i chose for an ESP32 because many of the things in my mind usually require bluetooth/wifi, which i know may be a little advanced for a beginner but i don't think i'll do anything at all unless i start with what seems useful for me. i'm not much into courses generally but i'll practice safely obviously and learn enough so nothing explodes or something before i touch anything. and i'm kinda broke so i don't expect to buy another ESP32 for a while so from what i've gathered its worth going for the ESP32 instead of the arduino. as much as i wish i could use old stuff that is no longer used at home, nothing seems "reprogramable" unless i'm being lied to...

just wanted to ask if this one is fine or is there any specific part it needs which this one wouldn't have? i'd also rather not go over 25 (which was lower to start but impossible unless aliexpress). thank you in advance, i appreciate any response (and i'm sorry for not knowing basically anything about electronics)

Trying to identify the temperature sensor

disassembled a device/clock, it has a dedicated TEMP ^ button and displays temperature (as far as my family remembers, not used in years). so i'm assuming it has a temperature sensor, i can't find the sensor for it. could anyone help me identify it?

img 1: i suspect its the thing left of the blue one, but i haven't found anything similar to it on the internet to confirm (and AI says it's not based on the description, yes sorry i also asked AI). i suspect this one being it the most as its closest to where the button is

https://preview.redd.it/87pkogruj5ah1.png?width=2880&format=png&auto=webp&s=34cbd61c41a64e5be039c516f66097a1068ef08e

img 2: i also suspected the one with a red top, but honestly same as the 1st one but i still heavily lean more on it being img1

https://preview.redd.it/mowivqh8k5ah1.png?width=1185&format=png&auto=webp&s=d851fd7e1435c96483988e3e796d8e6edcb15f44

img3: the button is closest to the right-top of this image, but honestly, same as others. i suspect it's possibly the two wires itself (that i got off the board or i couldnt see this side) on the right-top, but i feel like that measuring temperature by those two wires is impossible..? (it has 2 wires to it, the see-through part)

https://preview.redd.it/lc6b8htfk5ah1.png?width=2880&format=png&auto=webp&s=1b95ed150947e6534925e721bda7ca9a47c51d8d

img4: this is the board ontop of the battery, im QUITE sure it cant possibly be this, but the red one looks awfully a lot like glass diodes, which can measure temperature. but i assume its to prevent overheating from batteries/charging but just incase...

I'm sorry in advance if it's not there or if it was right under my nose, never did anything like this, tried googling a lot to be able to find the answer but i haven't been able to find it as of now and just wanted to ask so i dont waste more hours than i've already spent incase it's not there.

i'm doing this for a personal project out of boredom and i know i wont ever get into it if i start with a lot of theory, i dont mind if this thing breaks which is why i'm using it to test on

Old-ish Dutch pop song from 201x-2017

I honestly don't know if it's older than 2017, but 2017 is when I found it. My best description of the song is:

- Dutch (NL, not flemish)

- trampoline/bedframe squeak sound, this sound was a big part of the chorus hearing it multiple times (this is the closest i am to the song)

- multiple artists (atleast one white and one black artist), 75% sure only male singers

- mainly about sex (based on bedframe sounds)

- i'd describe it as mainly pop, possibly with some rap (similar to the kind of songs ronnie flex or lil kleine make)

- i clearly remember the music video having women dancing (sexualised and half-naked)

- i'm not 100% sure, but the music video didn't have a story, it was filmed in a dark-ish room/studio with either the artist singing or the women dancing

- not very popular (never met anyone that knew the song) but it deffo had a decent budget, so not very unknown artists for its time i assume but it didn't go viral for sure but i don't think in the millions. if i had to give a wild guess: 200k-700k views

- i can't really give a description of the song as i don't remember, but it kinda gave similar vibes of: Round & Round - Dyna

Sorry if the description sucks and it's fine if no one can find it, but i just had a deja-vu of singing it when i was young and looked for it for a while and couldn't find it. I appreciate any help and I don't remember more to add onto the description other than a few things that I wouldn't say anyone could identify it by:

- the white male singer kind of reminds me of lil kleine, but i don't think it was him, i think that singer was also more popular than the rest, but wasn't the main singer (like feat. thingy). i also don't think he had long hair

- i didn't find it by radio, but by youtube (so not radio-popular or atleast not in 2016)

- im pretty sure it's a collab between one white male artist and one or two black artists

Asking for advice on the internet at home

TLDR: telenet replaced our free AP with a paid pod (€3/month) after complaints of wifi being worse/disconnecting. nobody in the house notices much difference, but speedtests show the pod is genuinely faster. trying to figure out if its worth paying for, worth replacing with 3rd-party mesh or worth asking for a replacement (free and newer) AP plus need help identifying a wall outlet

Setup: Telenet (Belgium), modem: F@ST3896LG-TN, no fiber on our street, pod: Plume SuperPod WiFi 6 (by telenet), ap: AP7465CE-TN

Family complained about the wifi being worse, disconnecting etc. Telenet then gave us a new indoor/home amplifier (no idea why) and replaced our free access point with a pod (Plume-based mesh, WiFi 6) now €3/month. we only have 1 pod and the modem/router is in the basement with the pod in the living room, so the handoff feature does nothing for us and it's only a wifi 6 upgrade.

Speedtests:

AP: download 16.7-18.6 mbps, upload 5.9-27.4 mbps

Pod: download 71.1-224 mbps, upload 2.02-13,8 mbps

Nobody needs high speeds (light roblox on ipad, my laptop has ethernet cable), the actual problem is coverage (kitchen, garage, backyard and 2 upstairs rooms get 1-2 bars. But i can't say for sure if the AP disconnected a lot which would now be fixed by the pad (i don't use the wifi a lot), my dad said it did disconnect at times but i suspect it being wear & tear/hardware failure of AP so requesting a new one could fix that in itself

Options i'm considering:

- cancel the pod, ask to continue using the AP (still at house but turned off with no cable connections) and possibly request a new AP since these are discontinued it could possibly be a new/better AP

- keep paying €3/month and maybe use the AP for upstairs if allowed by telenet (if placed on the floor, could also cover kitchen) but not sure on the compatibility with AP & pod

- cancel the pod and buy 3rd-party mesh pods (i think €/$100-150 one-time for 3 pods) but self-configuration and if it's even allowed by the router from telenet, seems better in the long run

- move the modem to living room if possible by outlets (and possibly use AP for upstairs/pod upstairs

i'm not even sure if the outlets work, if anyone could identify them i'd appreciate it a lot

the right one's have "TV and FM" which i assume is for satelite TV, the left one is the one i think might be for coax to a router/modem (im not sure why this one is blue in the inside, the others are the exact same without the blue)

Pod: Wifi-versterkers voor stabiele wifi overal in huis | Telenet

Unused free access point: Wat zijn de eigenschappen van de Wifi-boosters? | MyTelenet

Router/modem: F@ST3896LG-TN (Alles over je Telenet-modem | MyTelenet)

External keyboard input lag (laptop) on HP laptop for everything but notepad

tldr at end

I feel like the fix should be easy but i can't figure it out so i'm here asking for help.

Basically I have an external keyboard connected to my laptop wirelessly with an USB receiver, it seems to get inputlag randomly. While this inputlag for my keyboard is happening: the built-in keyboard of my laptop, mouse (cable connected), headset (wireless USB), touchpad, charging, ethernet and HDMI (for my second monitor) all works fine. The inputlag is also not happening whenever I'm doing something "heavy" or based on the time my laptop has been turned on.

It can occur when I just started up the laptop (even after 10 hours), it can happen when i'm gaming (league) and it can happen when i'm just on firefox (~2 tabs) and all even on startup.

At first I suspected it happens because of my adapter (USB A to USB C), which would be odd since i specifically bought good (or well i think) adapters. So i switched my mouse to the adapter while my keyboard is straight into the port of my laptop and the issue remains only on my keyboard while my mouse remains unaffected. Before that i thought, maybe it's my keyboard? so i bought a new one, same issue. so now i have a keyboard i bought ~2 months ago while my old one works fine. they're not gaming keyboards and i dont have any software installed for them.

So i did some testing and turns out notepad works fine when it lags on everything else (league of legends, vscode and firefox), which i guess is the "closest" thing to knowing the cause.

Description of the inputlag:

- doesn't happen at all, til it does then it goes on for ~2 weeks possibly more or less

- the lag itself usually lasts ~1-3 minutes

- can happen once in a day to 10 times

- i've looked at event viewer and found unrelated warnings/errors (secure boot update failure, BITS service failures, DCOM warnings, WPAD DNS timeouts, credential guard warnings, google updater service errors) i'm not very good in IT so i can't say for sure theyre unrelated

- i also tried a different physical laptop port in itself, same issue for the keyboard even though the other thing connected to the old port stays unaffected

- turning my keyboard on and off (via button) doesn't help

- taking out the USB from the port and reinserting it doesn't help

I did find "the driver \driver\x failed to load for the device USB\VID_X" device identified as "ELAN WBF fingerprint sensor" with problem "CM_PROB_NONE" which "shouldnt" be keyboard related as far as my readingskills go.

The keys don't suddenly appear, it goes as follows for "test" written in ~1.5 seconds:

t - 0seconds

te - 1s

tees -2s

teest -3s

These times can differ, the inputlag can be 0.5 seconds long, 5 seconds etc.

I hope that description doesn't suck, but it basically duplicates some letters, sometimes not, sometimes stays for 10 seconds and sometimes not. i can't seem to figure out a pattern which is what's the most confusing to me. I'm open to providing more details if required (as i don't know what to provide).

Details:

- HP EliteBook 665 G11 laptop

- Logitech K540 (which is a keyboard + mouse set, i'm not using the mouse)

Tldr: external keyboard has inputlag while inbuilt keyboard and everything else works fine. new keyboard, switching port and turning on & off doesn't fix it. While actively inputlagging on everything, it works fine on notepad. can cause duplication of letters, time of lag varies 0.5-5 seconds

I do have an exam soon, so i'm sorry if i respond very late. thank you in advance for reading (and helping)
