What do you think of The Hurricane/Gregory Helms/Shane Helms?

What do you think of The Hurricane/Gregory Helms/Shane Helms?

STAND BACK! There's a hurricane coming through! The Hurricane was definitely a great comic character, who I think was utilized really well during his tenure in the WWE. He was a former European, Hardcore, Cruiserweight and Tag-Team champion, and he had really funny segments with The Rock too. I felt the Gregory Helms character was a good heel, though after his extensive run with the Cruiserweight Championship he fizzled out.

As for the man behind it all Shane Helms, all I tend to think about is his dislike of Shawn Michaels, which makes me curious. I do believe in what Helms says about Michaels obviously without ever actually knowing them at all, but I know Shane isn't the first superstar to have problems with Shawn, even in his reformed state.

What is your favourite Intercontinental Championship match from the Ruthless Aggression Era?

Considering that I posted about the 23rd anniversary of the Intercontinental Championship getting reinstated by Stone Cold, I thought I'd ask what is your favourite IC title match from the RA Era? One of my faves was Randy Orton vs. Cactus Jack in a Hardcore match at Backlash 2004.

33M- A list of the most underrated seventh generation games

I love the seventh generation of games because not only did they tend to look good, they were very fun and accessible as well. I don't think games (and the industry) have been the same since the PS4/Xbox One came out. So here are 20 of the most underrated/underappreciated PS3 games ever.

23 years ago today the Intercontinental Championship was reinstated

At No Mercy 2002 Triple H defeated Kane and both retained his World Heavyweight Championship and became the (at that point) last Intercontinental Champion. Of course 7 months later Stone Cold Steve Austin turned up on the May 18th 2003 edition of Monday Night RAW with a silver briefcase and announced that the Intercontinental Championship would be reinstated in a Battle Royal at Judgment Day.

When Stephanie and Sable had a fight backstage in 2003

The Stephanie/Sable feud was quite something. Sable becoming Vince's love interest really poisoned the father/daughter relationship. I don't think Steph ever got her revenge on Sable properly. And yes, this messy fight was as sloppy as it looks.

I've started taking Allopurinol and wondering about the gout flares it causes

Yesterday I've started taking Allopurinol after so long hesitating because of concerns related to side effects. I do want to know what the gout flares are like and how many to expect as well as when they'll begin to settle down. I know everyone's experience will be different, but I would just like some stories about your Allopurinol journey.

What makes a great videogame story for you?

When I think of great videogame stories, I think of those that engage with me emotionally and make me feel a range of emotions are the best ones, along with strong characters and writing. To me, no game does a better job of engaging me in this fashion than Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. I think it's the Studio Ghibli magic because Wrath of the White Witch is one of the most joyous and beautiful JRPGs and videogames I've ever played. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing and it has made me shed the waterworks various times. I know some might feel it resembles Pokemon and the gameplay is marmite because some love it and some detest it, but as far as the story and getting me to care, no game does it like Wrath of the White Witch.

I do find many modern videogames don't pull us in emotionally that well, but that's a subjective take. I find that games and their stories were far easier to invest in before the PS4 and Xbox One came along, though there are games like What Remains of Edith Finch that does a superb job of making you care through its gameplay.

I read so many comments saying that Shelton didn't have good mic skills, but his impersonation of Bradshaw in 2004 was great stuff. I doubt the people who say he doesn't have great mic skills have proof and just go along with a consensus, but in my mind Shelton and Charlie Haas mocking the APA proves Shelton has some talent on the stick.

Say what you want to about their match at Royal Rumble 2003, Triple H and Scott Steiner had a good build, which included Steiner beating down and ripping Triple H's clothes off. Bit bizarre, but hey it was great in the pre-match video package with TrustCompany's Falling Apart as the theme.

As you can see, my list isn't exactly a conventional list. Some of these are serious and others are just for fun.

Like Edge's show name suggests, this segment was really on the cutting edge as far as insults are concerned. Edge mentioning Michael Hayes doesn't have his usual Freebirds back up including Terry Gordy was a really shot below the belt. To be honest though, I loved Hayes' retaliation when he said the only reason Edge has his show is because he's "banging Matt Hardy's ex-girlfriend." Edge as heel was tops.

I'm not sure what the case is with America and the rest of the world, but in the United Kingdom there has been a stigma towards briefs. Personally I think such stigmas are moronic and petulant, but I embrace such ridicule because it shows that briefs stand out due to how great they are. They're so great that they spawn haters who make excuses for why they don't choose to wear them. I know that some prefer loose fitting underwear, but in my mind other styles may as well just be classed as shorts-except thongs obviously because they're like briefs but with bum freedom. To me briefs aren't shorts, they are proper underwear that you can feel and there are several benefits to them. Yes they are tight, but this is because they are functioning. I appreciate the leg room in particular because it is freeing and I can easily move my legs and feel good doing it.

Maven isn't known for great insults, but in this backstage segment he did a great job. He called Triple H "numb nuts" and I believe this insult works brilliantly for one particular reason-it's like Maven didn't even know who he was insulting.
