Can a collision of multiple supercells cause an extremely powerfull tornado?

From what current research tells us, the high-end EF-5 tornadoes which we have observed in the past ~70 years are about as strong as a tornado can realistically get.

If two or multiple supercells, each with enough energy to produce a high-end EF-5 tornado on their own, were to collide and merge, would this allow for a tornado which in strength and windspeed significantly exceeds the most powerfull tornadoes which we have to date seen?
