Is it worth waiting for the 2027 Honda City, or just get the 2026 model now? (First car dilemma)

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for my first car and the Honda City is at the top of my list.

I’ve been doing some research and saw that there’s a "30th Anniversary Pearl Edition" out for the 2026 model, but I’m hearing some buzz about the 2027 model. Since this is going to be my first-ever car purchase, I’m feeling a bit torn:

Option A: Buy the 2026 model now. It’s a proven, reliable car, looks great (especially with the recent anniversary editions), and I get to enjoy it immediately. Plus, Honda SENSING is already standard on the current trims.

Option B: Wait for the 2027 model. Is there any massive change coming? I’ve seen some rumors about potential design refreshes or maybe better hybrid options, but is it worth the wait? I’m worried about potential price hikes for the next model year too.

For those who have owned a City as their first car (or are long-time Honda owners), what would you advise?
Is the Honda City really beginner-friendly for a first-timer?
Does the "waiting game" usually pay off, or is it better to just grab the current unit while stocks (and financing promos) are available?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated! I'm planning to use it mostly for daily city driving and some occasional weekend trips.
