Finished my grad degree. That was 2.5 years of grinding after work and not having much of a weekend and social life. Not sure how people with kids and a job do it (round of applause to all you folks who have gone through that).

My wife was a huge help and supporter while I was in school and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without her. She gifted this to me this weekend as a graduation gift. Absolutely spectacular. Been eyeing this thing since they launched the 39mill and she paid attention to my watchnerd talk!

What a surprise. What a wife. What a cool watch.

I ain’t ever goin back to school….

This was a fun strap build. I know divers and leather are a no no. But…I don’t care.

My cousin went gator hunting and he gave me the leather. It’s all I’ve been working with for the past few weeks and really like how this one turned out. Plus…I think these Mido Oceanstar deserve more love than they get. Really great watches for the money. This one was a gift from my Ma. Probably the best gift anyone has ever given me. She’s a University of Florida graduate and so it felt right to put this one on gator strap 🐊

Got into the watch strap making game about 5 months ago. Just finished up a couple projects and was scrolling back through some photos and thought it would be fun to show the improvement over time. Photos in reverse timeline order. The first few were NOT good!

Side note…I probably win for having the most scratched up lugs from switching out straps so often.

Overdue bag clean out happening right now before I play harbor town this weekend. Lottts of nasty old gloves sitting at the bottom of that thing

I made a strap out of a baseball⚾️

My dad’s birthday is coming up and he loves baseball so I’ve been working on making him a watch strap made out of a ball. This is prototype number one.

Baseball leather was pretty tough to work with. It’s crazy soft compared to other leathers I’ve worked with. I don’t think it turned out too bad but would love your thoughts.

Hopefully prototype number two comes out better.
