I am a girl, and I was groomed online by a 20 year old woman when I was 15. It makes me very sad that female groomers aren't taken seriously. It’s just... regardless of a person's gender, they are an adult fully formed individual who understands what they are doing and the harm they are inflicting on a child!..When I tried to share my pain, I was laughed at and told I wasn't being serious. I’m glad I found this subreddit, where I might find some support. I’m nearly 20 now and try not to think about it, but sometimes it all comes flooding back, and it makes me feel sick.

While reading various stories in YouTube comments and elsewhere, I noticed people mentioning that their symptoms stopped for a while—even if only briefly. Is that actually possible? And what would one need to do to achieve that, theoretically?
