Together, We Can Rebuild Haiti 🇭🇹

Shoutout to all the Haitians living in Haiti who are doing their part to make things better.
Whether it’s something big or just a small effort in your community, it matters. I know it’s not easy, but we see you and we appreciate you.
It’s a long fight, and togetherness is the only way forward. By supporting one another and working as one people, we can create real change.

Keep going. Little by little, together, we can rebuild Haiti. 🇭🇹❤️

A Week in Haiti: Why I Still Believe in Its Future

After spending almost a week in Haiti, specifically in the Nord-Ouest Department, I’ve come away with mixed emotions.
I see a country that’s still moving forward. There are homes and businesses being built, and it’s clear that many of those projects are being funded by the diaspora or Haitians who have managed to earn a stable income. Despite everything, people keep building.
What stood out to me the most, though, is the amount of plastic waste. Plastic bottles and garbage line many streets, and unfinished roads make daily life more difficult. Haiti is clearly facing major challenges infrastructure, sanitation, and public services among them.
But what gives me hope is the people. Haitians continue to do the best they can with the little they have, and they often do it together. That resilience is impossible to ignore.
If you asked me whether Haiti has a future, my answer would be yes. What the country needs isn’t hope it already has that. It needs stronger institutions, better infrastructure, investment, and the resources to match the determination of its people.
God bless Haiti, La Perle des Antilles. 🇭🇹

The Haitian diaspora sends billions of dollars home every year to support their families and that help is invaluable.

Instead of only sending money, what if we came together to build businesses, create jobs, and invest in projects that generate long-term opportunities?

Is supporting our families enough, or is it time to build a future that helps entire communities thrive?

Are gangs truly the root cause of Haïti’s financial, educational, healthcare, and infrastructure failures or are they the result of decades of systemic issues, including poor governance, corruption, lack of opportunity, and institutional collapse?

Building a Haitian diaspora initiative to bring clean water and sanitation to Ouanaminthe - Looking for feedback

Hi everyone,
I’m a Haitian-Canadian building Konbit Leve Dyaspora, an initiative that encourages the Haitian diaspora to invest in practical, transparent community projects in Haiti.

Instead of trying to solve everything at once, I want to start with one pilot project in Ouanaminthe:
• Clean drinking water
• Safe public toilets
• Hygiene education

The idea is simple: prove that one successful project can inspire many others across Haiti.
I’m not here to ask for donations today. I’m looking for honest feedback, advice, and people who believe that small, transparent projects can create lasting change.

If you have experience with NGOs, water projects, Haiti, or community development, I’d love to hear your thoughts. What would you do differently? What challenges should I prepare for?
Thank you.
